I realize it's all choice when things getting worst, I can't choose who I want to save first. And whenever I see other people have different numbers of death, I know the choices matters
Immediately prioritized the doctor In a catastrophe, especially a war, every single doctor has the value of hundreds, if not thousands, of lives that they will be saving Doctors are one of the most important and noble tasks a human can take. Cherish them.
To those who still too nervous to do the quest (just like me :D) here's the summarize of the choices after watching various playthroughs and read some comments. Cmiiw Warning: it's hard to avoid SPOILER, read at your own risk Things to note: it's impossible to save all no matter what you choose; and apparently there's a hidden timer, the longer you took to fight=more casualities (it's possible for the casualty to reach 5 digits), opening map doesn't pause it I suggest try to talk to every npc you meet and do all available additional tasks. You can check the buff on the map and adjust your team. The pins on the map change for every stops, giving you the newest intel from various places About the stops... 1. The first one is the same for everyone 2. Scions of the canopy and saurians If you go to canopy, you'll find a lot of people and you'll save a doctor. When you come back later, some warriors died but a lot of survivors overall. If you don't, a lot of monsters will be around and there'll be less survivors. If you go to saurians, you'll save a messenger. This messenger is the one you'll talk to in the stadium if you save him, if not it'll be another messenger you'll talk to. 3. Children of echoes and caravan+fatui From the desc, children of echoes' case sounds more urgent. If you don't come here you'll see less people here later. There's additional task to clear out monsters and if you talk to npcs, some will give you items. If you go to fatui, you'll join them to save the caravan (potion lady). But if you encourage them to deliver the supplies, you'll find their bodies later in the people of the springs 4. Key site defense Near stadium, same for everyone 5. Survivor search and rescue, north and south If you go to north first, you'll save mother and daughter. You find nobody if you don't come here first. If you go to south first, you'll save 3 npcs and a baby saurian. Only the baby saurian survives if you don't come here first. 6. Stadium Only heal and adjust party here. The messenger you'll meet here will be different, depends on your 2nd route 7. Scions of the canopy The result if you went here or not for 2nd choice. You'll meet more survivors if you came here for 2nd choice and vice versa 8. Survivor search and rescue, north and south The result for not choosing the other 5th choice 9. Children of echoes If you came here for your 3rd choice, you'll meet more survivors 10. The people of the springs Same for everyone. No survivor. Depends on your 3rd route and choice, you'll see familiar faces 11. Air balloon to near children of echoes After taking balloon to near children of echoes, you'll fight some monsters. Here you can meet Toto (Kachina's big friend). Toto's survival depends on how fast you clear out monsters here. After fight, if you see an npc near Toto, you can talk to npc and Toto's alive. If there's no npc near Toto, you know... 12. Xilonen+Kachina, Chasca, stadium Same for everyone, story. In stadium you'll meet various npcs, depends on your route 13. Last, ode of resurrection activated No more casualty (death count will go up, but go down immediately). Just do your best :D Don't forget to check map for voicelines
Are you sure Toto can actually die for real? Man, most of the outcomes of dialogue and battles are predetermined (and fighting them is merely a formality to reach the next cutscene). Hoyo ramped it the fuck up.
So besides having the CHANCE to tell Awhina the right thing to do, does helping the Fatui out having any meaningful effect on future battles/cutscenes? Because for the other three choices, the effect is obvious. If you helped the Saurians near the river during Surging Darkness, there are more Saurians/NPCs during Despair Engulfs the Heavens when you return. If you helped the Scion of the Canopy Stronghold, Achiyaku and more npcs survive during Despair Engulfs the Heavens when you return. If you helped the Children of the Echoes Stronghold, more npcs survive during Despair Engulfs the Heavens when you return. But if you helped the Fatui...what do you get???
I think I chose the best option because I saved the doctor first, even if by accident. But I felt sad after knowing that I didn't have time to save the mother and her child.
well if you failed to rescue the mother and child, that meant you chose the three saurian trainers and their saurian companions which turned out to be 5 or 6 lives in total (unsure because I managed to rescue the mother and daughter and turned out I missed the chance to save the saurian trainers, when I got to that location, none of them made it except one Yumkasaurus cub), and you don't need to regret for your choice since you never know the impact at that moment
Is a trade, either if you choose to go North earlier or later you will sacrifice one of two things, the post near the Canopy will lose 5 people that could be saved or you lose the saurian trainers This Is my own conclusios after watching other people's choices I tried to help around the sions and ended up on what i could say Is the best path cause i saved the doctors, the potions and the saurian not to mention that I decided to lift the morale of the first guy and he ends up saving more people acording to his final encounter on the arena, as i saw some streamers walk out after Chaska gets there and there Is nobody at the door
@@kaienkazami6348 yeah I think I save the doctor and her son, the saurian trainers, several villagers, and that guy who need motivation. I didn’t save the girl with potion and mother and daughter I think…
@@justgado2772 i did it blindly without spoilers so since everybody starts with the same point, after cheering te guy i went to the entrance of the Canopy, saved the doctor then went to were the fatui where at, convinced the potions woman that it was not worth it(wich saves her life) Then when you go back she and the doctor aré inside the tower near the arena, after that I went south and saved the saurian trainers, returned to the post and saved the civilians that decide to fight, at this point alone you saved 10 lives extra instead of 3 (the sions messenger and the mother and daughter) you will still save the cave group that goes to the CoE it would lose some members still So yeah, no matter what you choose people fall on that battle but i'm glad my route saved the most people, i had around the same numbers of casualities 18xx, and some people say that being idle or wasting Time could make the numbers go UP At the end it seems that not only you help more people on this route but as dialogue of the survivors Tells you, saving the doctor, her son and the woman of the potions going to the arena help prevent More casualities Saw some streamers be around 2.6k
I was so focused on saving people that I completely forgot that Saurians are affected as well. I didn't even know about that baby Yumka on the tower... but I did save Toto so I guess that's alright?
Bro how tf 😭 I let all those people die because I didn't know how to access those areas, now it turns out I just had to take my time talking to the npcs to be able to get those minor quests ??
i was in panic mode the whole quest trying so hard to be in two places at once to save everyone and by doing so I ended up missing lots of mini quest. To surmise, I think I got the "bad ending" considering I actually ended up with more casualties by running all over the map 😭. Needless to say, I was so Immersed and really felt the urgency and stress of the situation and made so many mistakes along the way. First time in a while I actually enjoyed another AQ. (Last one was in Sumeru)
question: do these people appear again after the quest like are they stationed anywhere? If not I could give less of a f*ck because hoyo is too stupid with this quest.
I accidentally missed these two fellows so I completely missed this part. I think I chose the most unimportant ones though which is kinda sad. Its amazing how well done this quest is. From realizing you can't save everyone to the catastrophe getting worse and the numbers rising eminently. Its a beautiful display of storytelling.
Well i choose prioritizing to get rid of the pylons first and wala, the death toll just like the right one.. i mean we are "traveler" and also one of the strongest warrior. Also we have ability to nullify and purify Abyss contamination so the only makes sense to us is to go on the frontline to slow the invasions also buy time to those below us and civilians could evacuate immediately.
@@electroanubis3385 we should relearn from Inazuma Archon Quest. We always on the front against Shogun because even commoners or vision holders cant stand against their ruler or archon god, talk about Abyss contamination..
I didn't even understood for the most part thought all will survive because they were close to captain at that time so I went for saurians later is when I found damn they are die for real was when I thought oh shit!!
Literally every single time you clicked on a destination (even if there's no choice) the popup told you "this is urgent request, prioritizing this first will have an impact later"
I got to about 1800, and now I want to impeach the pyro archon, because she had the chance to fix the ley lines, but refused out of selfishness. She was like "History is more important than human life". Now I'm prepared to become a Harbinger and join to Fatui
@TraceguyRune yea but everyone would also lose there memories , did ya forget about that part , everyone would die , yes there bodies will live on but they are not the same people. The fatui mind I remind you EXPERiMENT ON CHILDREN
FUCK I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW SHE WAS THERE!!! I talked to the NPS, but I couldn't find any clues about the doctor being somewhere in the description, I don't know why and I missed it!!! 😭😭😭
I just picked random places and ran into Tepoz's mother. Thank god I wasn't too sleepy because that would cause me to skip out on the optional quests, and I wouldn't forgive myself for that. My run is very similar to this one, only difference is that potion lady after assisting the Fatui.
I chose Saurians and the Fatui, because supplies are very important in war. I thought that if the Echo-people had an entrenched position like the intel told me, they could hold out a while longer, but no, appearently not. But then, you go there anyway and its like four people standing next to that ruined house doing sweet nothing... you can imagine my disbelief.
The first two choices was not because i choose the saurian over the settlement. I choose the saurian bcuz theres a messenger there over a guarded settlement. Thats the two options that pop on my mind first. I choose every options where there is people in dire or unprotected first which led me to pass the doctor sadly.
Among these, I ended up, leading the Fatui’s to death escorting the merchants and their supplies ( 1:27 ) And rescued the Mother. To quote Spider-Ham “The hardest thing about this job is, You can’t always save everybody…”
I helped the doctor but not the supplies after (helped Echoes folks instead) coz there's Fatuis defending that node so I thought they could handle it.. and next one I went to the south helping the saurian...and when I got the chance to help the north node after that, it's all too late...no survivor... and I think the doctor's son didn't make it since I didn't see him inside the city... how I wish we can replay this scenario...too much what-if story gone just like that
i knew the war is merciless so i prioritized the doctor hoping that every wounded can be saved but it seems that abyssal corruption might be the reason that the count in not lowered.... with that contamination, even docs are not enough
i didn't saved her cause the other opition was the saurians, and that was a obvious choise for me in the moment not knowing anything, so, after i helped then, one canopy messenger that was hiding between the leaves was bodyguarded by those saurians to other place, they helped other people during the war eventualy i got REALLY sad in the end cause i tried really hard to complete my promisse to tepoz but both didnt appeared, but now i see where i was supposed to go...
I always choose the missions further from the bases/settlements because my thinking was that those places had alot of warriors already and natlan figthers have a good history of figthing the abyss. And that my services are better used in the remote regions with little to no backup. But oooh boy was that the wrong choice at the end.
There is no right or wrong choices It would be either one or another We went into the quest thinking we are going to be able to save everyone, but those battle records and deaths climbing up made us realise that it truly was a war
I don't think that's possible as she "needes to die" for Chasca to awaken, that's the whole point of her Ancient Name. Us getting there on time to enable Chuychu to tell her last words to Chasca was the key to Chasca not falling into madness/frenzy. I think that's how it is, sadly.
My advice is no matter what outcome each choice leads to, choose the option that you won't regret, not others' advices. And even if you think you could have chosen a better choice, forget about it, there's no better choice, war is cruel, if you choose to rescue certain people, you may miss the oppotunity to rescue people from other areas, vice versa. If you rescue certain people because of others' advice, are they saved because of you? No, maybe not.
I saved the doctor and went after the children of echoes thinking i could help the fatui so the supplies got lost and in the process motivated that dude so he stayed alive. Saved the mother and daughter duo instead of the saurians because I thought the saurians would live but I was wrong
So real especially there's a timer there and the dead are less when you save them fast but I have a weak team and can't do it😞😞😞 Gotta upgrade fr fr must save natlan
I remember theres a secret dialogue for Capitano once after Mauvika’s ode of resurrection cutscene with the 6 heros could you make a video on how to get it?
I thought “oh they are near the scions of the canopy they have people.” And helped the guy who had no one and everyone died 😭😭😭bro the poor mother and child npc- now that I realize that apart of the people I killed was a child I wanna cry- 😭 but if I didn’t help him then the saurian and him would die- mihoyo taught us there is no real way to save everybody in this quest 😭😭😭😭
I completely forgot that guy asked me to save his mom until I watch this video. Lol, I was in hurry for irl matters, but this quest was taking so much time and I don't think the game showed the notice about it before. So I finished it as fast as possible. And listening to Paimon drove me crazy. Jeez, I really want to shut her up like Mavuika did to Ajaw.
firstly the total death is determine by how long you take, not just who you save, so unless you stopwatch your run, that result is pointless. and also if you are going the doctor route, you should save the mother instead of the saurian. because the doctor need both supply and a nurse, if you don't save the mother, the doctor will be bottleneck by manpower.
shame that we cant redo the quest again, i never actually thought choices matters in this game bc unlike hsr, the choices u made always prioritize in the same path regardless (maybe some but usually those are from world quest)
maybe because the doctor forced herself to save others. when you save her it'll mean that you take her from the front lines that need her. probably. cz iirc we persuaded her to go back.
Saving Raman the messenger and help Children of echoes(north choice) has a side quest to destroy the abyss pylon to prevent active monsters and also slow down the death rate.
Omg, i forget save the doctor. I focus save all cevilian and warrior natlan. I bandon sauria and fatui they all deat in last time. But i save mother and doughter. I thing its good persen for me.
- HOLY! You are the only youtuber who saved Awhina! Is it possible to make a video of all her voiceline? I'm curious what she said - 2:07 is more of saving the people of the springs npcs than saving saurian because all saurian still dead except the young one, even if you go there first. - Weird... I saved the doctor mother and her son but only the mother is in the stadium at the end, talking to a medic/supply girl instead of Tepoz
The Natlan's patch really gives off the experience of being some sort of a war strategist. Sacrifice needs to be made and in reality, not everybody could survive a war
I did save the doctor first, but I chose a few dialogue options differently - the chubby girl at Fatui location went south to get supplies and got killed, and I didn't motivate the guy just said people will remember him if he died. Sounds bad but in the end I got 1977 casualties. Somehow saving the doctor is the worse choice?
Because the messenger choice (north at 1st and 2nd wave) has a side quest to destroy the abyss pylon(portal) to prevent active monsters rate -----> slow down the death rate that's why it's more important to save the others.
So, the death count different based on our choice? I didn't know it😮 If i can rerun the archon quest, i would like to get the lowest death count possible😢😢😢 (I would obviously not make a new account just for this though)
F i didn't know we could go save his mother and i also didn't know that we could motivate these two people to stay alive. I choose the " I am not reallly scared" answer which litterally meant those people were cowards ☠️
It's mildly unsettling that it appears to me like this entire sequence is simply setting the player character up to want their own Loom of Fate in order to try to save everyone.
