I've been watching you guys since the beginning of your move to Portugal. The video's that first popped into my mind were the initial walk through of the house, the bathroom tear-out, the kitchen floor issues, and the replacing of window lintels. All your videos have been very inspiring.
Tip: when it's stinking hot, if you can spare a cucumber, cut it into big portions, stick it in the freezer and then, when frozen, give it to the chickens. It helps them cool down a bit.
Hi, I found your new channel and then had your old channels videos drop into my recommended list and was planning to settle in and watch those first. Then they disappeared and I felt like I was starting a storey several chapters in. However, I’m over that now and into the flow of things with your new channel 😁. I’ll be interested to see whatever you put up in the archive videos though. I understand your caution and choosing your words carefully but it sounds like the back storey could be a cautionary tale for others, is there another platform you could provide more detail on without incurring the wrath of the capricious organism known as RU-vid?
You have my sympathy. I lost my Facebook and Instagram accounts last year when someone hacked them. I hadn't used Facebook for months so knew I hadn't broken the guidelines. Very frustrating that you can't contact them and yet they still send emails saying I have x hundred new notifications. Doesn't say much for their systems but I have learnt to live without them.🙂

I live in Setúbal, just an hour south of Lisbon, and have recently received my D7 “Título de Residência.” Which is to say that I am in for the long haul. Why don't you release the old videos one by one in the original order every wednesday? This would be better for your youtube algorithm because you release one video more per week. Maybe with a permanent jingle in the beginning like "hello, this is one of the archive videos...". = Higher ranking & more viewers with nearly no extra effort

I watched a lot of your older videos and the bathroom re-sizing video comes to mind, where Kylie did a lot of working out of measurements and the digging up of the floors in the rooms you've just limed. Thanks for the "clarification" of what happened to your old channel. I found you under the old name and loved that you had a property that was large enough to homestead on, yet was in a village so you had easier access to stores, etc. I think you have the best option for many people who would like to do something similar in Portugal. Being rural is nice but in an emergency or with rising petrol prices, it may not be the best option for people. Keep doing what you are doing. I would like a video on how you plan to use all your land in the future, if you have thought that out. Your channel is so refreshing and always encourages me to get outside and do something in my garden. Cheers.

I think your videos are great but I must be one of your more intellectually challenged subscribers. Many of the others claim to understand your explanation of why Eco and Beyond was pulled from You Tube. To those who do understand the explanation, please put me out of my misery and tell me why Eco and Beyond suddenly ceased to exist.
I would love to know, what the old name was, but its seems pretty obvious that it may be a trade mark name. This has happened to many other YTubers, maybe hitching a ride on a name for more success.
When did "Make Do Grow" get renamed to "Make Do Undo Redo Grow"? ... :-) ... In answer to your question, I watched most of the videos on the old channel, and I probably would not watch them again, because once was great but twice might be excessive. However, if I were watching them, I would want them to be posted chronologically, inasmuch as that can reasonably done. Start old, work your way forward, is my recommendation. New viewers would probably appreciate that.

One of the old videos that made me subscribe to you was when you did the walls inside the house with the wrong lime. The fact that you listened to the comments and the way you admitted your mistake and fixed it was so refreshing and I've been a fan ever since. I personally would love to see the videos again about any of the work being done inside the house, those were the most interesting to me. gosh guys what you have been through really sucks. Why can't people just be kind and work hard to get where they need to. Honestly I don't think it's that hard but these days it seems like there are many who take advantage of others. I am so so sorry for what has happened. Glad you have explained your reasoning. Having followed your early vlogs avidly it felt to me that you were not honouring the following you had built up, when you changed over it was clear that monetisation was a factor but you did not explain why. Thanks for taking this time to explain what happened and how that led to your decision. As you say you have now built up your following to where you were before, you deserve that.

I have found in my life that what has seemed disastrous and stressful often leads to opportunities not seen or considered before and creates growth. I do like the new name of your channel as it really is descriptive of your content. I really enjoy the how to aspect of your channel and how you explain the whys of your choices.

I’m just happy to have re-found you, and happy you have rebuilt your following, (and made it to the other side of that ordeal). I personally don’t care what your name is. But I think you’re right about having to wear that badge, and then justify your actions in relationship to it, (especially among the more “rigid” thinkers). 😜 “Make.Do.Grow” is definitely a more expansive direction. My request for an archive video would be the designing and making of the deck area on the round cement “thing-a-ma-bob” (technical term) 😀 where you set up your tent.

You should just cherry pick a few of them such as the property search and solar set-up and archive them. Thanks for clearing that up (I was one of the ones asking). As for the archive videos, well now that your away from the BBC why not do as they do and show ALL the repeats. I for one would watch them all as repeats are really the thing to watch. I am still watching Star Trek and that was shown in the 60's, the UK has hundreds of channels 99.9% show repeats. I found your initial channel early on, and I too was unhappy about it's disappearance. I sadly have no life at 76 with cancer You Tube is one means of entertainment. PLEASE bring about your "Plunge Pool" video. I probably have seen at least a half dozen times. It just made me laugh. Especially, Guy suffering for his art. Nothing but blessings as you continue your adventure.

Your skills at everything (yes, crocheting, wine-making) ate amazing. The vegetable garden looks as though it is producing enough for a family of eight. We both love your videos and although we only started watching you in June 22, we’ve watched everything you’ve released this year, and we both would love, love, LOVE to see ALL your previous videos in “full” however long it takes.
