Charles S. Dutton is such a great actor. I started watching Roc again when it was on Pluto Tv. I loved how it talked about real issues while being funny. Also his role as Mr. Butler in Menace II Society was very impactful. My favorite lines of his character from that movie: “it’s not easy being a black man in America. THE HUNT IS ON!!!!!”

Charles is a great actor and want to see him on screen again! ROC is definitely one of the favorite 90’s shows! 🙌🏾

I remember him in menace to society

I met him when he came to my hometown of Little Rock. He was such a lovely person.

The episode of Roc with him and Clifton Powell is one of my favorites. Still one of the greatest scenes. He had a standout part in Rudy too but Get on the Bus is still my favorite performance of his.

I loved him in low down dirty. So believable. Roc is that black uncle. We all have a uncle like Roc.😆👊💐

Roc never fell off and his resume is impressive. Actor, producer, activist, a real sturdy gentleman. I’m not sure he’s even underrated because he’s remained to be relevant throughout the years

I started watching Roc in late 2017 i think. although i was familiar with the show i never sat down to really watch it. They was scared of having a show like Roc on the air too long because it was opposite of everything the media/society potrayed black people in urban communities to be. He definitely deserves and NAACP award if he hasnt received it already.

I'm a fan, doing a Jamaican Caribbean play leaving high school, playing the lead I took aspects of his character in the Roc to portray the character I was playing, he inspired me and the topics he covered on on his sitcom was ground breaking one of the few people alive I would love to have a conversation. Jamaicans love and respect him.

Sadly he has retired unvoluntarily, he's faced several health issues that has taken him away from his true love, acting. He's been trying to get back on his feet and I pray he does.

As a kid my Pops would make sure that during our limited TV time we'd watch as much dignified portrayal of black folks as possible. Roc was one of the shows I remember watching and thoroughly enjoyed. Much respect to Mr Charles Dutton.

I always wondered why his show was canceled on fox. Somehow, I always knew the answer.

I used to watch Roc as a little girl. And I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I found Roc Episodes on RU-vid a few months ago, and the way I LAUGHED OUT for dang near every episode!!!! I fell back in love with show. Comedy gold.

One of my favorite actors growing up and I’m from Maryland. He was also in First Time Felon with Omar Epps. That was a good bio pic, HBO use to put out a lot of good movies back then.

I've always like Charles. He transcended the actor title over Twenty years ago. Even though hes not in the public eye as much, he's still cashing checks as a producer. I'm still wondering why HBO MAX hasn't added his show ,The Corner,to the programming yet. That show showed me no matter what you are going through it can ALWAYS be a whole lot worse.

Speaking about a come up if talent, genius, philanthropy, intellect, direct transparency..... This is Mr. Dutton! A power House 🏠🏡

Charles S. Dutton and his dramatic 🎭 excellence actually helped to shape me into the man that I am today. His “hard working” mentality is definitely one that I’ve adopted into my own life. He’s one….if not my favorite characters to ever grace our television 📺 screens. I was thinking 🤔 his morals, values and standards as far as how black families should be portrayed on television versus how they are is spot on. John Amos was saying the same thing when it came to GOODTIMES. The people at the top with all that money will always want blacks to be funny, but have no substance just like buffoons. CHARLES S. Oh wow, I didn't realize Dutton directed The Corner. He always brings such gravitas to his roles. ROC was a great show (I can't remember any specifics from it and I don't remember laughing much), but I remember watching it regularly.
