It's rather incredible how this video not only replicates the 90's style in all the promo made for Catastrophe Crow, from the magazine ads to the logos, but also how accurate the impersonation of the "gaming youtuber" is

I just realized something. When the developer said "the player is gone" he was referring to his son. It's like at heart he was making this game for his son, and when he died he lost all the motivation to finish it, and the grief combined with the pressure to release the game drove him insane. I honestly find this story more sad than anything. It's very well done though.

What I like is how he says he'll talk about what he thinks of the game after he plays it, but he never comes back to talk about the game, hes silent until the video ends

something wonderful about this vid is that it imitates the style of gaming history videos that are popular now adays, setting it apart from Petscop. It even mimes how many of them would do sudden jokes to keep the viewers attention. I'd love to see the materials like the magazine pages published somewhere to be read!

I just found out something at the beginning of the game were it says ''He's not been home for days.''is about how the developer went missing.

I come back to this video every now and then, even though the ARG has been "solved". I still think this is a masterclass example on how to do an ARG. Everything is SO neatly done, the setup, Adam's video, making other unknown lets play channels with Crow gameplay; everything feels natural and is set up so beautifully. Wish we can get more ARGs of this caliber and quality instead of generic trying too hard to be creepy ones.

The end where the crow [Sorry,I don't know a lot about this] Gets dragged away by that monster-type thing?- That terrified me. Maybe he saw something happen to his daughter? [I think a video I watched mentioned he had a daughter,too lazy to see if it was this video.] And/or maybe he hallucinated? Sorry,I don't know much about this- Edit: I found a channel that says that "Nils" is a founder [ Or something,I lost the video. ] And matpat said nils was his son? Matpat also mentioned that there was a code that said something along the lines of "This game is for you now [either his son's name or "son]." I think the name was Opus Imaginative? I searched up Manfred Lorenz,And found the channel. I don't think I'm going to do any more digging,I don't think a lot of people will find this comment anyways.

Just a heads up there’s waaaaay more gameplay videos out there if you search Catastrophe Crow. And if you go to the uploaded videos on those channels there’s even more hidden. I think this thing is just beginning and im so here for it.

All I could do through the video was humming along with the N64 Castlevania music playing over in the backround lmao it's a rly great touch!

You know what seals the deal for me? The modernized video editing. For example, when he is about to curse, he censors it to avoid being demonitized. Another thing, is the music. The music used parodies game channels, such as: SpaceHamster, PeanutButterGamer, and more. But one gripe I have, is that the voice audio in the gameplay portion is just a bit too quiet. I didn't wanna turn it up in fear for a jumpscare, but I had to turn it up after I saw the video just to hear his voice in the beginning. Other than that, I am completely immersed.

I remember finding this and using it as background noise for work. I didn't think much of this at the time.

I love the detail that one of the crow's wings is white, which allows for the player to easily see which direction they're facing, which was a real thing taken to consideration when designing characters in early 3d games like Crash Bandicoot(his gloves and light colored belly patch)

This is so artfully made. Here from another vid about this one that recommended I watch this first - glad I did. I mean this as a major compliment: the least convincing thing in the entire video is Crow's wall jump, and only because it wasn't a common mechanic at the time. The aesthetic production here is basically perfect, and I don't possess enough high-fives to adequately express how impressed I am with it.

Ok but can we actually get this as a full game tho? Seriously, I really like the style of this honestly. I don't think there should be anything creepy unless you slap it in as an Easter egg but a full game of this especially in the N64 style look to it would be neat!
