What Happened To Final Destination 5? 

I remember watching this film for the first time, and I was shocked when I realised that it was a prequel to the original. Such a clever twist, I genuinely didn't see it coming.

Definitely an underrated entry in the franchise, lots of creative deaths, likable characters, and one heck of a memorable ending

I like the twist that the whole movie was a prequel to The First movie. A big clue with those Nokia cell phones in 2011.

2 is my favorite but I love 5 and how it wraps around to the 1st movie was a brilliant way to end it I'm excited for the 6th movie

I thought this was the best one and that twist made it all the more awesome. This is how it's done. It lends itself to creativity, and the director knew how to bring it.

The poster still the best till today's standard... All the FD are very fun to watch though some are goofy moments but really worth watching it... part 6 next year... that's hype me real good

I think it should've been called Final Destination 0, since it was a prequel to the first one. I've seen another movie series that did that, but it was a Japanese horror series. If they called it Final Destination 0, people could watch it first before the others.

What I’ve always found intriguing about “Final Destination” and this one, is that the flight takes off on May 13, 2000. What’s interesting is that May 13th was on a Saturday that year, but it would’ve been on a Friday had it not been a leap year. It’s almost as if it cheated its fate. 🤔

It would be cool if they could keep exploring the "human killer to skip death" concept, it could open some cool concepts to the formula of the franchise, what if they have two groups of people on different but somehow related accidents, and one person of the two groups is a psycho, it could play out like a "paranoid thriller" set in the "final destination" universe

Can honestly say this sequel (or prequel) has the best twist of any movie I've seen. If I didn't love FD3 so much, FD5's genius ending, epic opening, creative deaths and fresh rule twist would have definitely made it my favourite.

Such a fun instalment I'm patiently waiting for 6 🔥

I would really love to see more characters like Clear Rivers that survive more than 1 movie.

My brother and I watched this in theaters when we were both in high school. We both loved the 2nd one so much growing up. This was such a pleasant surprise added to the franchise since the one before it was soooo bad. Love the horror Easter eggs that they still keep in it like Scream. Can’t wait for the next one.

The ending was so good

I wanted to use a tanning bed until I watched Final Destination 3. That changed my mind very quickly.

The bridge collapse in FD5 is based on the 1940 collapse of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

This one started out pretty good but lost me when Miles went gun happy near the end.

I watched the movies out of order. The first one I watched was the roller coaster (the 3rd), derby pile up (the 4th), plane crash (the 1st), pile up (the 2nd), and finally the bridge collapse (5th)

The twist ending was so tastefully done imo

I rarely buy DVDs and I bought the DVD for Final Destination 5 so that says something. It's a highly rewatchable film with many thrilling death scenes.

The only FD I went to see by choice. The third and forth film my friend made watch them, and I didn't really enjoy them. This one was the same but I enjoyed it.

Final Destination 6: Bloodlines is already rather official... the accident will be on a top floor restaurant of a tall building one of the deaths will include a revolving door all so this time around death is killing entire families, because they were not suppose to be born to begin with something like in that "Titanic" episode of "Supernatural"

I think it would be cool to watch Final Destination 5 first, then the original after this one with Devon Sawa since in a way its the 2nd movie and then all the others afterwards

Trial and error has a really incredible first season..... Please go and watch it if you haven't

First let me be clear. Tony Todd's character KNEW nothing. As we watch all of the films we see (in the first one) that he tells them to figure out 'death's plan' (wrong), second film he told her that she needed to create new life (wrong). By the end (which as we know was his first attempt to explain it) he suggests that killing someone and taking their remaining years (wrong.). I found his character dull after the second time when he was WRONG again. Indeed, in my imagination, he was Death (in the first one) who was just letting them know that you can change a lot of things in your life, but not your destiny. I did love the 2nd one the best, then this one, and finally the first one. The first one was, for me, destroyed by Carter. He was too petulant and as a joke his damsel in distress routine simply did not ring true. Perhaps if Billy Hitchcock had been the screaming (Willie Scott--Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) it would have seemed more realistic. Oddly though, for me the teacher--Val Luten--was the best character in the franchise. Perhaps because the actress playing her came across as the one with them most acting talent. I really did not want to see her die, and the build up to it was one of the best.

They’re is awful ppl in the film and tons of murder and gore but let’s stop and point out the racist joke, that’s the character your not suppose to like him, that’s the point! He’s not the lead . You don’t apologize for Jason Voorhees for cutting up ppl because that’s his character, he’s a villain!! But forget the blood and gore and point out a racist joke from a douche character, that’s insane!!!

Idk, this one felt pretty lackluster to me. Just like parts 3 & 4 did. If you ask me, the franchise has ran its course. I still think the first 2 are the best ones.

The only good ones are the first two. The rest just became little character development and death gags.
