Black Ops 2 zombies boils down to either the gun is good, utter trash or good but you don’t have enough ammo so the high fire rate burns through it.

Funny thing looking back. Jimmy had 2 great Hitters back to back for WAW & BO1. Wasnt till BO2 that his ambition got the best of him. Blundell helped BO2 zombies get back on track, however his 1st game BO3 had issues at launch for it being too hard for all casuals and drove them away until he brought them back with Revelation and Zombies Chronicles. But then his 2nd attempt on rewriting the Zombie format was his downfall again, only this time he didnt come back from that setback and there was no new figure head to save it. Id say the same will happen to BO6 the new guy drew whos been doing zombies since CW, Vanguard and MWZ.

Nice video! I miss Zielinski maps. Blundell did amazing with Mob and Origins but I think he hasn't made anything better since. Will have to see if I feel the same way after playing BO4.

Old people are slow haha, if it was my main job to sell this game i would have figured this out ages ago, not just after seeing treyarc announce that the red eyes was a mistake… “but it worked out” lmfao no it didnt, zombies sucks nowadays…. Waw,bo1, &(tranzit,die rise & buried if they were on current gen), mob of the dead as one of those dlc random maps that has nothing really to do with the main plot… except the little shit like “nikolai nikolai nikolai why do i keep hearing that name” But nah they sacked zelinski gave blundell the raines & we got a re-sale of the same maps + them killing off the cast, templars & the aether. Like what type of Nazi Zombies is that lmfao Gg treyarc/activision

They shared the same fate, started big but as time went on their products just became bad (Zielinski with the black ops 2 fiasco and blundell with bo4)

I like the bo1 maps but the bo3 ones are much more fun because there is a lot of things to do and you don't have to rely on rng much.

@j7520 I'm personally a fan of buried. The video was partially written from a casual/hard-core fan consensus. There was this weird air about buried, people said it was the easiest map ever but actually high rounding it was hard. Shit like the bank, wall chalk, Leroy, people either love it or hate it. I genuinely enjoyed it, Jimmy's best map in bo2 but it was kinda too little too late.

@@Caz122 Okay respect ive just seen other videos saying it was just alright and im like dang, thats the map that got me into zombies.. and into the lore, Victus Primis Ultimus, but seeing the aftermath of what the community wanted and how everything turned out made me miss things like buried because without it i would have continued to overlook zombies seeing it as Cods third mode. Even the idea of richtofen maxis ending was interesting but executing the EE, i do see why jimmy isnt around anymore. its a shame and it seemed like the different development teams was best for zombs. Also just W video because i missed out on fan reception due not owning a copy until much later

What do you mean? It's been 8 games with zombies since he resigned, 3 leaps years, 3 presidential perms almost, the same distance as 1978-1990 the difference between half life 1 and 2 is closer together than modern zombies and bo2

Surprised this doesnt have more views, but it was a well made video so I'm commenting to boost it in the algorythm lol. Yeah i loved Zielinskis maps, i feel like he hit a 10/10 or 9/10 until Tranzit and Die Rise. Either way, i feel like he had a type of passion for it that is missing in todays zombies.

Blundell brought back the spark after the rut that was Bo2 zombies at launch. 2016 was such a magical year for zombies, I feel sorry for those who couldn't deal with the changes to the mode. You missed out BIG time.

Am I the only one that never had the turbine problem in transit with pack a punch? I just made sure the s Zombies never broke it. People would place it then run away not realizing a zombie was behind them that broke it.

It's very unlikely that the campaign team had enough time to create Mob of the Dead or Origins within 3-6 months. I believe the internal state of zombies at Treyarch caused the campaign team step in and create some maps. Then Activision noticed the positive reception of Blundell maps and replaced Zielinski or he simply quit because he disappointed his fans.

Maybe if treyarc let zelinski & blundel work on origins together they coulda made it sick, i feel thats where they went wrong I didnt know it was zelinski - tranzit, die rise & buried, but if they let him use his OG characters then he would have been algood i reckon… idk why they went to templars instead of the nazi zombies… everyone loved killing nazi’s… Then blundel takes zelinski’s characters and fucks then up in bo3 & bo4 The only good thing about bo3 was chronicals but even that was bad imo vs waw & bo1 Just re using zelinski’s hard work while he hasnt been there since buried…

lol I’m sorry but saying “idk why they went to templars instead of nazis” is hilarious considering origins is the only original map from BO2 or 3 to actually feature “nazi zombies”. (Not actual nazis cause it’s supposed to be WW1 but still at least German zombies) Hell there is only 1 map in BO1 (kino) that has nazis. It will always be known as “nazi zombies” to OGs but you gotta realize we haven’t been killing a lot of nazi zombies since ascension

It's a great map because it's so unique. It's punishing yet rewarding nature allows for a lot of interesting strategies unavailable in any other map

Feel like this video gets a couple things wrong. Blundell and the campaign team made Der Riese(considered the best map at the time) before getting back to work on Mob of The Dead. Campaign team couldnt make mob in a couple months, it was probably planned for a while, maybe during the shaky bo2 dev cycle or during tranzit launch.

Exactly this. Sure I like the new characters too, but blundell and his secrets like a child trying too hard in his imaginary world, not to mention the tentacle space hentai monsters as god? Nah thank you. Sure he made the best 2 maps soe and motd but thats just it, the rest is just a big clusterfuck.
