Okay here we go. This guy was a unanimous 5 star recruit coming out of Houston, TX. He selected Kansas but after one year he transferred to Houston. He was selected by the Knicks and in his first year got a lot of minutes from Coach Thibs. Known for not giving rookies minutes let alone starting them, Thibs gave him starter's minutes after Fournier faltered. But he fell out of favor in NY after just two seasons. He's been swapped twice and is now in Dallas. I thought sure he had all-star potential. What happened? Next Stunted Growth: The Curious Case of Quentin Grimes
When he was with the Clippers he was the best kept secret. When he was with Phoenix he was playing at an All Star level. When he got to Milwaukee he started declining.
Eric Bledsoe just never became a better 3-pt shooter, and that's why the Bucks traded him for Jrue Holiday. I always liked Bledsoe's game, and he was nicknamed "Mini-LeBron." What's funny to me is that Eric Bledsoe is my player comparison for LeBron's son, Bronny James Jr., but Bronny has a better jumpshot.
I think what killed his potential was when Terry Rozier cooked him in the playoffs in the '18 playoffs (when Bledsoe played for the Bucks); he even trolled him wearing the DrewBledsoe Jersey!
Idk about this one man a 18th pick that averaged 20 a game three times was a borderline all star 4 times and played 13 years and made 140 million? Think Bledsoe exceeded expectations
I lot of players would have killed to have the career of an Eric Bledsoe. Even with his injuries. But again it's the old adage, "A jump shot adds years to your career."
You talking bout the money but he's giving people a breakdown analysis on why someone's career didn't pan out the way it should to people who may be wondering like. Damm what happened to stormwile swift or what happened to Darren collision ? It's not hating it's just adding perspective .
He had a terrific career in my opinion. If you last over 10 years. You’re the real deal. Could he maybe reach another level? Sure but the level he reached was legit.
They called him mini-lebron cuz he had a good-run of chasedown blocks, was super solid going downhill, and had a physical profile that resembled a super small bron
@@MatthewKonvict I ain't talking bout play style or mentality D.rose a killer. I'm talking bout the physicality he brought to the pg position in his strength and speed.
I said this a long time ago. Once he left his wife for the ex NFL player jump off and was having an affair/infedelity issues. He was never the same. I think that played a lot in his mental during his bucks tenure and threw him off to the point he wasn’t able to recover. I was a big Bledsoe advocate and I was excited when he finally got out of Phoenix. I think it was his personal rather than his game. I heard his personality was trash during the time he was on the pelicans/trail blazers
Bro i went to that hs championship game he turned up he really fouled out over a wrap pass 😭 remember it like it was yesterday and i didnt really know em back then
Ive never heard anybody refer to Bledsoe as a mini lebron. Always been a fan of his game though, that UK team that had EB coming off the bench for John Wall with Demarcus Cousins was lit as hell
Aside from consistent 3pt range his reputation got damaged from him underperforming in the playoffs once he finally got on a serious team and them winning a championship the next season after trading him kilt his value
I thought he lived up to his potential,he was a barely 6 foot score first guard with a spotty jumper that could play decent defense at times. Incredible athleticism as well,i thought he had a solid career and lived up to expectations
