So you’re telling me… They tasked ONE person, to transport potentially dangerous remains of a darkness enemy that we struggled to kill and is a big enemy of the traveler and the vanguard?
@@HibiscusOrchid Nonsense, even intelligence agencies bring armoured vehicles and a small army's worth of police escort when necessary. The Vanguard's just cheap af and poor Marco had to pay the consequences of cutting corners and not getting at *least* 1 or 2 fireteam allies.
@@rainbowlover8900 I didn’t mean regular human, but I see why that was confusing. I mean someone like guardian or like Eris (I was hyped for her to be a baddie 😔). Someone with abilities that are technically humans from earth. Whether they’re dead and revived by the traveler, I don’t really think matters. Just someone powerful.
the amount of times an enemy has come back is wild. most of them have. taniks, nezarec, calus (kind of), ghaul (kind of), eramis, savathun, oryx, and several others im forgetting.
That's what the vanguard wants you to believe. The truth is the drifter cooked and ate Rhulk's femboy thighs before the vanguard cleanup operation started. Thankfully the vanguard were able to prevent drifter from consuming any more of the corpse. One shudders to think what might have happened if drifter had eaten that darkness bussy.
Right? He's literally the strongest enemy we've seen other than the witness. This motherfucker could've singlehandedly killed ALL the worm gods at the same time with little effort AND he made Nezerac a disciple. Fuck dude.
I don’t think it specified that it was in fact Rhulk’s remains in the lore tab. It just labels them as “samples from the pyramid” if it was Rhulk I believe they would have had more than just one person transporting his body. Plus I doubt they could fit all of his body into a few jars if anything it could have been just some samples from his body
@@fraserduffy4576but I don't think it actually says he's being possessed either. It's the lore card for the raid sparrow, iirc it says while he's healing he starts to feel a form of euphoria and he begins to black out from it, while hearing the generic darkness whispers or something that is generally associated with the witness as the "voice in the darkness" . So I think it was more of a darkness "possession" rather than rhulk possessing the guy directly.
Makes you wonder what the lore will say about the Hidden storing Calus’ remains? Would Caital be against it? Would she realize that Eris and the Hidden could glean information from her father’s corpse that could destroy the Shadow Legion for good?
They pretty much are. We’ve killed all there highest ranking commanders. So far the explicator was the last of the high ranking shadow legion. Plus most of them aren’t actually cabal but clones made to serve. Without a leader to serve there leaderless and therefor lost.
they were samples of those roots, not Rhulk's body. The vanguard doesn't chop up people. The veins weren't rhulk possessing him, we are unsure what it was.
This is the type of thing bunjie should put in the game. Having a quick cutscene of this happening would be awesome. We could take a trip into the mind of the Marco to see his struggle against rhulks possesion. Not only would this have been a really cool opportunity for a unique moment in the story, but we would have gotten closure in game that rhulk is truly defeated.
@@graymulholland9988 clearly I meant actually seeing it in game smh. As much of a destiny lover I am, I absolutely hate that the most interesting lore is just in writing and absolutely none of it is actually seen in game.
Another example of a guardian who isnt use somehow dieing trying to do something. I can see a guardian dieing trying to make lunch for the vanguard given how often a guardians story ends in death
I love how Rhulk behaves compared to other raid bosses. The others kind of took us seriously, especially Oryx (Its fair, we killed his kid). But Rhulk is literally looking down on us, and his demeanor shows he didnt see us as a threat. His calm walk, hands down. I loved his vibe
Wait.. ur telling me a guardian.. got a broken leg and punctured lung.... yet his ghost didn't heal him, thus leaving him weak and susceptible?? Wait.. what?!
Imagine an entire raid that it took to be able to down some big space batty only for you to somehow botch the job of bringing the remains back because you got into a small accident
@@GravitonLance If the darkness was possessing him, you could very well believe that he would be unrezable. And on top of the fact that the explosion was a small scale nuclear one and ghosts usually ride with their guardians, there's little chance the ghost didn't die with him
Rhulk still isn't dead yet... Kinda. While scavenging a pile of Dead Ghosts in the Sunken Pyramid a Guardian heard Rhulk's voice whispering to him. So he still exists in some fashion.
Marco had more sense than people in zombie movies and sci fi movies and sacrificed himself out of a sense of duty rather than for the sake of dramatic effect
The actual in game lore never states these were Rhulks remains. if they were, how would we be getting Subjugators in the final shape? Witness used the cabal cloning technology and Nezarecs remains to create tormentors, it is doing the same to make Subjugators. Using the remains of Rhulk to make clones.
Small Nuclear Blast bit might be some kind of Panic button for Hidden so tthey dont get captured or something, either that, or only certain Sparrows have that kind of Reactor. Or Just Gameplay reasons lol.
