She dissapeared among the sea of butterflies and became an illusion of the past

Just to give the answear before i watch it, her damage can be as big as Dr. Ratio, but it's locked behind her resurgence passive, and that requires her to kill an enemy. But because even the enemy mobs are tanky now, she can't one shot them, which means she can't access the full damage of her kit yet.

Resurgence basically fixed her issue of being a Hunt character since release. Hunt characters problem is that they're single target oriented and from the start of the game and you're clearing mobs from the beginning anyways. Seele basically made Belobog story a pushover. She's done her part, now she stays as one of the DPSes that players have used, but will be used less as they pull newer DPSes

What happened to Seele? She followed the path of Guinaifen and became a popular Star Rail streamer. What? Who's Molly Zhang? Never heard of em.

As a die hard seele main, I'd say shes a jack of all trades but not a master of none. There are plenty of scenarios where when used right she absolutely stomps. I still tend to finish her MoC 12 in 1-2 cycles and 40k PF with her but i cant deny that both the ceiling and floor are being raised to no fault of her own

I feel like people forget that one of Seele advantage is she super fast The more recent clear with Seele you see that she take 2-3 actions per turn even though her damage is around 80k-150k Yes, Resurgence is her bread and butter but she take more turn than other character also increase her total damage

i still think she's one of the best because she's been able to 0 cycle every MOC since release; similarly get max points in every pure fiction regardless of how much a disadvantage pure fiction is for her.

"Pure Fiction is a test of endurance." But is a mode that is restricted to 4 cycles, no matter what, and many top teams forgo sustain. Has to have been a better way to put this

Once the hunt propaganda mode arrives, hunt characters, especially seele, will see their growth in usage rate and efficiency. But dhil and acheron are still a blight to damage dealers cause they clear everything.

I love Seele and I love using her. She’s not my favourite character (that honour currently goes to Topaz), but The Bronya, Seele combo works really well for me whenever I feel the need to use it. I won’t ever bench her if I can help it.

Day 1 seele main, f2p, and I can say she still kicks it with the newer dps units IF you’ve invested enough into her. She’s arguably the most relic reliant unit in the game, which is probably what comes with being the first ever dps released for the game, and I wouldn’t recommend pulling for her on a rerun unless you’re willing to get as close to perfect relics for her. But if you do, it’s like she never saw a dip in production at all

There's a few issues with the analysis that often comes up when people are arguing against Seele: - 5:15 Seele is not as SP negative in PF. Use her basic attack instead of her skill to finish off kills. The damage is lower, energy gain is less, but if you can finish off smaller enemies with the basic, it's worth conserving the SP and can also help speed up rotations slightly as Sparkle's 50% AV push is sometimes not enough to make Seele act immediately. - 7:02 Seele's ult for Resurgence uptime is not as restrictive as it seems if paired with Tingyun. In a boss fight, Seele can maintain fairly high Resurgence uptime if played properly alongside Tingyun's ult battery. Additionally, Seele can be played in such a way that her ult provides 2 turns of Resurgence, not just 1, by activating the ult after Seele's turn has started. She gets Resurgence buff, but it does not tick down because her turn has already started, leading to a 2-turn uptime on Resurgence.

Seele was my first limited 5* (I joined during her rerun) and she carried my ass during the early game. Then I started to get closer to where things like MoC and the like became relevant and I started investing in other characters that I feel more of an attachment to. I didn't really mind her, her arch with bronya was quite nice to watch, and having gotten a bronya from the beginner banner kind of obligated me to pull for her but at the same time she wasn't exactly someone who I cared too much about. What definetly killed her for me was Doctor Ratio. I to this day still have so much fun playing this guy and I overall like his kit a lot more than Seele's (in terms of personal enjoyment). At that point when thinking about opportunity cost I simply went with him instead of her. So basically it's not even really her fault that I stopped using her. Maybe I will take her of the shelf again some day but right now other characters are taking priority. However the time I had with this character during the early game was still one that I enjoyed so I wonder how folks who did invest into her are doing now in endgame

Seele doesn't spam skill to clear PF. She mixes basics because one of her talents give her additional action advance. It's entirely possible/almost necessary to be SP neutral with Seele in PF. She can also get extra turns per cycle from just her own high speed and action forward on basic attack. And it is entirely still possible to kill mobs with basic attack in PF. Until something *drastically* changes, Seele will still be a monster in PF. She's only straightforward in concept--actually getting the maximum value out of her is actually difficult in execution. Seele hasn't fallen off at all. This video exists only because people are switching to easier use units like Acheron, who just does unnecessary amounts of dmg.

She is still strong, its just the game doesn't cater for her anymore. This is more of a case of feature creep than power creep tbh. She is still good imo for doing Scarab weekly boss and is alright in some other modes, but in general the idea that she has vanished from the meta is only apparent if you completely forget that she still deals some of the highest damage in the game. Sadly Hunt characters need a mode catered to them like Erudition got Pure fiction, maybe Hunt characters can get a boss rush mode or something.

Are we really gonna act like seele is weak now when she clears moc12 and pure fiction just as well as everybody else

i think overall Seele has definitely shifted down as preferred DPS for many players, but imo she’s still a perfectly fine at her role - especially so for day one players who pulled her and therefore have had time to invest into her really well plus there’s that new Apocalyptic Shadow endgame mode coming in the 2.3 patch… perhaps this mode will be more well-suited for her and other Hunt characters similar to how Erudition characters perform best in Pure Fiction ?

I mean, having Dr Ratio for free might skew the perception as well. Especially Ratio's team is about to get better with Robin

its hard to compete with titans like Acheron, Jingliu, and DHIL and even harder now that other limited hunts like Dr Ratio (yes technically he was free, but now he's limited) and Boothill are gonna be out, both of whom will probably find better homes in the current and shifting meta. She was my first 5* I pulled way back in the infancy of game, so she's a nice relic of nostalgia for me and a reminder of how far the game has come in just a year. Even if I mostly use Dr. Ratio now.

The one thing that makes seela unique is her disturbing high speed, which is baked into her kit. If jade can someone make that even better plus slapping enemies to make it easier for seela to get resurgence that might be saving grace but then the question is who do you replace in the mono quantum if you don't want to run a glass canon?

Not to be "that guy" but Seele is one of very few characters who can 0 cycle the most recent Pure Fiction stage 4

I was able to 40k the last 2 PFs (not the latest, but the 2 before the latest one) with e0s0 Seele with e0s0 supports (+ e6 tingyun). She's still among the best, even if she's not the strongest DPS in the game anymore. She really excels in content that she's able to make use of her resurgence mechanic via basic attacks. I remember one of the previous PFs, I was at 7 sp pretty consistently because I was using 3-4 basic attacks for every skill use and killing with each basic attack (skill only for maintaining speed buff), so I was able to run my s3 DDD on tingyun, and give sparkle past and future instead.

If we're going to be honest the bar isn't too high right now for Hunt but hey she has one of the best Lightcones in the game like seriously it's really good

What happened to Seele? She became my literal wife and she's still my prime DPS. My ingame description literally says "professional Seele simp". Best girl forever.

I think some points have been overlook when talking asbout Seele. Her spd and speed mechanics on her kit such as speed increases and turn advancement on basic makes her make up not only for resurgence but by doing many turns naturally as well. That can bej ustified that other units like Bronya and Sparkle can enable that to other DPS, and its true but this is a 'floor' mechanic that she has naturally, and its quite important, since speed is still the name of this game. Also, Sparkle did boosted a lot of other DPS but her innate extra boost to quantum favours Seele more than others and also raise her floor and ceiling a little bit more than the others. All these little pushes here and there is what keep seele very consistently still.

What happened to seele? Nothing, she is just chilling with other dpses clearing all content anyway so it doesn't matter at all

I have a feeling that she would have been the best dps if her talent was like killing enemies would grant Resurgences, but from the second turn consume 5% max hp of teammates upto 20/30% of Seele's attack. Although it's like Jingliu,but she would become insanely good in 5 enemies like Himeko and Herta making her the best dps in MOC and PF.

my friend got 40k with hypercarry E0 seele in PF a month ago so idk about that lol fair enough with claim that she has higher ceiling but kind of hard to get to, the thing is that you can usually play around that, in PF just use SP positive supports like in case of my friend she used pela, tingyun and sparkle, then seele can jump around as much as she wants in a real single target scenario tingyun is also really good for her, because she can ult more often that means she can prock her resurgence more often even if she doesnt get resets, which is why i think she's somehow kind of underrated in single target despite being a hunt character, the main thing that resets do is make up for "wasted" turns used to get rid of extra mobs, but when there's no mobs to get rid of then you dont need to make up for it because your full attention is focused on the boss, and yeah sure you lose some energy but that's it, people act as if with resets she's attacking the boss twice as often, well no that's not what happens if half of your attacks are going towards extra mobs

I thinks it’s actually super easy to give her her own support. Just make a support who buffs characters who act twice in a row (and make it stack). Yes, every other dps can use it (whether it be with follow-ups or just using their ult, but they won’t benefit nearly as much as this non-ice type Pokémon (get it bc Seel is just a water type)). Support idea: Fire Harmony Talent “Encore”- Buffing an ally (or allies) additionally grants x% damage bonus. Bonus is increased whenever the ally attacks immediately afterward. Skill “Break a Leg”- Increases an ally’s speed and atk Ult “Star of the Show”- Grants Spotlight to one ally and Ensemble to all allies. Spotlight grants the unit 1 free use of their skill without using a skill point on their next turn. After Spotlight is used, the ally’s action is advanced forward by 100%. Ensemble grants an x% damage bonus. A1 “Thesbian Charm”- Whenever this unit uses an ability, there is a 25% chance to restore 1 Skill Point. A2 “The Show Must Go On”- CC debuff resistance A3 “Triple Threat”- Skill also grants crit damage. Or you could have the unit based more on turning a unit’s speed into buffs instead of just the random stuff. I also think that would be an interesting video series idea: Making the best, most niche supporting unit for a specific DPS

Qingque was the most interesting dps character since launch to me, which in turn made Seele a very easy skip and I've never looked back since

I use her since 1st banner till i get Acheron. I love her playstile and hope she will be ok in new endgame mode.

I played at launch for about a month and came back at the start of sparkle's banner. In 1.0 I got Seele and loved her, but I wasn't around long enough to get silverwolf. Now I'm still trying to make her work, saving to get fu xuan, having sparkle and hoping for a silver wolf rerun soon which will level her up a lot, it feels quite sad to have my quite cope Acheron team with Pela Gui and Gepard 1 cycle the floors I'm at currently in MOC while having Seele take 5 or more cycles most of the time. I hope getting the optimal mono quantum team will bring Seele at least close to my Acherons level and allow her to Brute force through some floors with SW, but at this point I've also just considered benching her until she gets a good MOC and building other teams :/

I started playing HSR on April 29 last year, near the release of the game, I was on the Seele hype train and she was really awesome and really fun at the time, then "Our General" released, the real crime being he was more powercrept but also more indirectly buffed overtime, can't say the same for poor Seele..

Seele has proven to be the best 0 cycler in the game at E0S0 (comparable to or better than Acheron). I'm not pulling this out of my ass - Seele has the cheapest 0 cycles of any DPS for every MoC before the current one. Watch Xolze's content if you don't believe Seele can perform this well (they've been banned in most HSR communities due to personal behavior but that doesn't take away from what they've shown Seele can do). Seele is by far the most underrated character in this game nowadays and honestly one of the most underrated characters I've seen in any video game I've played.

Honestly i could see the case of Acheron being a one off example. Acheron is a Mei expy with clearly a LOT put into her, so it would be suprising if they were to keep it up. Bronya even still has use, as they seemed to be careful not to DIRECTLY powercreep her, but created more of a sidegrade. Basically i just wonder if hoyoverse plays favorites when it comes to some units considering the strength of some and seele was just unlucky (even silverwolf has a niche, despite being less used due to the blast meta, she still provides the biggest debuffs for single target scenarios)

I hope the devs make a support for Seele that can make a clone/clones of the enemy to easily access her Resurgence against elites or bosses that dont spawn mobs. Kinda like Illaoi from LoL. The clone can have a percentage hp pool of the original and once a clone is killed, it redirects a percentage of the dmg back at the main target. The idea and concept already exists, just depends when they plan to execute it. A support like this can also help Erudition. Example spawning 5 clones leans more towards helping Seele getting Resurgence but the dmg being redirected is smaller where as Erudition units benefit more from hitting multiple clones, Destruction can also benefit but much lesser compared to Erudition since the path is usually restricted to 3 targets. Just a concept i hope to see the Devs implement one day.

I am more comfortable playing Seele than Jingliu even though I have them both on E0S1. Although Jingliu has a really good Blast dmg she's a bit slow compared to Seele and easily falls off against ice res characters especially when I have no E4 Pela at that time, Seele on the other hand is saved by her QUA res pen to be able to brute anything, that's why I able to 40K the PF3 and 31K on Auto the PF4 because of how good her penetration is.

In my case, she's been perfect for 4 months. At E0S1 3388 atk (3938 after team buffs) 78.9 CR (100.9 after team buffs) 184.1 CD (360 after team buffs) 133 SPD (160+ after skill) With the full quantum team, she is used in everything.

I... luckily grabbed her on the first roll of her with Clara (she came first, so lost 50/50 and won instantly)... And then got her LC after a while. She is probably my cornerstone in Mono Quantum teams and i dont see her fall off.... unless Hoyoverse launches another Quantum Hunt unit... The meta moves so fast that I'm a bit concerned. I heard Honkai Impact 3rd has the same problem with its meta as well in past

To be honest, when playing with archeron i realised not just her but every single character has some serious downplay when it comes to meta, dan heng requires a lot of SP, which in several scenarios can even bypass sparkle's ult, jingliu is honestly very self sustaining which can be controlled by using healers since she eats hp of pther people sp i have no complaint Archeron however her ult is severely dependent on how consistently the enemies are getting debuffs so unless you have a dedicated nihility team her ult is difficult to achieve with only E0 Seele comes in same category but since i literally have all the mono quantum characters I am on a smooth sail since once silver wolf acts against a boss its checkmate for single bosses and i enjoy every moment of it🗿 My views might be biased as a og seele fan which archeron hasn't managed to take🍷🗿 Blade is lacking supports meanwhile, he is just not f2p friendly when it comes to meta since many 4 stars characters like asta tingyun etc due to his hp scaling dosen't synergise with blade at all except lynx and even among 5 stars the 5 star best for him i think is literally fu xuan or sparkle 💀 Kafka is just built different, literally 💀 The thing which keeps seele truly in competition is sparkle's ability which increases attack for quantum units exclusive, her sig artifact set which is still the strongest set in my opinion, and the sheer value her sig lightcone gives, which can go all the way to 100% crit value+ extra dmg increase at S1 which is wild💀

i have been playing on and off since the games release and i always felt seele was more of a placeholder than anything else since her extra attack relies on her getting the last hit on something but then not being able to chain the effect for a good sweep

I still play her, but only in a Quantum only Team Seele, Fu, SW and Sparkle

If you refer to a higher damage as power creep then basically every new dps will power creep almost every other dps but power creep should be used when both dps has the same use cases and supports and eas of use like jingliu and yanqing for example and even tho jingliu power crept him he is still competing and aventurine increased the eas of using yanqing but not directly buffing him . In conclusion the dps is only one peice of the puzzle and you need to collect the supports in order to make them stronger for example jingliu and blade got a big buff with ruan mei as the other supports didn't do much for them as they mostly buff attack although she buffed everyone else they were affected the most due to lack of good options for them and every new support will inrease the damage celling either generally or for a specific team comp like how robin is good but she is better in FUA teams.

Seele is basically the best dps that i don't recommend getting nowaday, if u already have her and built her well enough, then yes she can still compete with other top tier Dps at similar investment in most contents, if u DIDN'T have her or haven't build her yet then it's better to stay that way unless ur desperate for a Quantum dps (which Qingque can fill nicely enough), she just take too much investments and actual "skill" to reach similar ceilings of the likes of Acheron, Dhil, Jingliu. She can still reliably clear most PF and MoC for me, so i never regret pulling for her, plus quantum set is op af , a lot of my dps are still using 4 pc Quantum leftover from when i farm for Seele

This video is very good but the pure fiction bit is mostly wrong, seele is one of the best pure fiction characters thanks to her action sdvance on basic attack trace

Great video, one thing about Acheron is that she is super powerful (and is definitely a level above every other DPS), she also has a limitation of needing 2 Nihility teammates (or 1 at E2) so her high damage is meant to come at the cost of limited team structure as it's assumed she couldn't easily bring a Harmony character without throwing huge damage or sustain whereas any other DPS can bring any supports they want without resistance

I still play her, mostly because she is the most invested unit I have and got her since Day 1. I just can’t let her go.

In every RU-vid video I've seen recently, her Ultimate hits like a truck. She's still going to be relevant for type coverage until a new Quantum comes out.

While I do agree with you to some degree, I don't think you have look hard enough into the situation. Starting from version 1.2 forward to late 2.0/start of 2.1, the MoC line up has not been kind to Seele and just quantum unit in general as there hasn't been a specific floor design for it while Hoyo keep spamming ice floor for Jingliu. About Seele sp economy, you can just spam her basic attack if you can or are running low on sp. Its action forward property would just bring her back a lot more often than you would think

I think that seele might get a 2 life with release of new hunt focused gamemode in 2.3. But it will depend on how much enemies there will be. If only boss wihout summons will occur then she will fall off and will be on similar level of other old hunt characters.

I hate how OP acheron is. She basically makes me feel bad for having Jing Yuan as my answer to the current MoC or previous Pure Fiction. They legit made me struggle so hard to get all stars that it was just frustrating.

I think trying to compare acheron to any dps would be unfair since her burst/break is unique in the sense that elements just don’t matter to her. Seele is still pretty nice and strong but what makes a unit future proof in my opinion is versatility and like you said she’s unfortunately very straight forward but still very solid as a dps option (especially if you go by units you like)

I still use her regularly, but relegated to the secondary team since Kafka and friends are just too good. I dont really use FuA at all (yet) but that and/or Jade seem to be a pretty big threat to my seele usage moving forward, though.

I think Sellee really resembles Diluc in genshin where she's the one-stop shop for everything in the early game, but gets outclassed by better specified / simply higher damage (read: Hu Tao/Acheron) until she becomes an OG unit

Got her on week 1 of the game, sadly she's is kinda meh atm because I don't have her LC(was outta jades for her rerun), but she's still very powerful especially when teamed with Sparkle. Can't wait for her next rerun so I can max her potential

They just need to release a Support character with a jacked-up version of that one Hunt Blessing in Simulated Universe where characters who act consecutively get a damage boost

I mean, she is still good and, you know, if Jade can spam some aoe moves she's basically gonna be like Herta but for MoC. But let's be real if she released today her E6 ability would have been an ascension trace.

Im not sure if this would still be considered Leaks cause of the Livestream (So warning anyways) but i heard that robin's ult damage will not steal seele's kills, so she can do a basic and kill the enemy and get resurgence again

I have got her e2 at 1.0 as f2p. Use her from this time on almost every fight.

- In MoC she is solid, but the tendency is for her to fall further and further behind as even the fodder starts to have too much life for her to kill in one hit. - In PF she is carried by the ability to attack multiple times in the same turn, since otherwise she would be unusable there. - Everything indicates that this new game mode, like PF, will be super biased towards new characters and Break META, so I don't see her doing very well there without the best supports and a lot of investment.

with the release of robin in a way seele benefits alot next to either dot or follow up because of the fact that robin advances everyone's action forward allowing seele to be able to get even more dmg and turns in the same cycle so robin is a good choice to run with seele but i think she will last for a long time she still have one of the strongest if not THE strongest talent of her Path to compensate being a hunt unit idk what do you think?

Imo she is still the 4th best dps behind the big 3, i have dr ratio and jing yuan with Sig and she still outperforms them both in clear speed so i think she is going to be good for a long time.

Honestly seele could get a buff that works primarily for her which is something like a buff that increases a units damage the more actions they take in a cycle. Seele is the unit who can do the most actions in a turn theoretically and if they designed a support in that way she’d be buffed the most with every other unit not being buffed as much.

Seele, for me, might be the first character I regret pulling for. I dont use her at all and when I do, I just end up using Silver Wolf with another character. She's a great character sure, but idk maybe I just went along with her hype when she first came out and pulled.

imo shes still one of the best. she went from a general-use answer to everything to a pretty niche answer but when she is the answer she is peerless

my account needs help. im not sure why but my dr ratio only hits like 5k damage and my seelie hits 50ks everywhere but Ive been stuck on the starcrusher swarm king story boss since the quest came out.
