I know this comment is already a year old, but I still wanted to mention that for me, Sistar was the best Kpop girl group of all time. There has been a huge amount of groups in the last 10-15 years, but Sistar always stood out to me. Their different personalities, their musical/artistic skills, their professionalism, their amazing sister-like bond made them very unique. They have always been exemplary as a band, and their scandal-free disbanding only stresses that. The fact that they still hang out and support each other even after their disbanding shows how much the band meant to them and how much they cherished each other and the time together. They were the first Kpop girl band that I discovered ~10 years ago, and they were the only one that made me cry when I found out they were disbanding. Even writing this comment is tearing me up a bit. Sistar got me into Kpop and I will forever be thankful for that. Maybe there is hope that they will re-unite at some point, we'll see... Anyway, I wish them all all the best, no matter what happens, and thank them for making the last decade so much better for me ❤

@@nonamer0o016 Yeah, agreed. I always found that a bit sad. But I guess those were their group dynamics and it was kinda accepted by everyone. I think if they were that bothered by this, they wouldn't have lasted so long and wouldn't have had that clean break-up though :) I think part of what made it possible was that they weren't selfish.

Oumaima haf Yes they sacrificed for the group and although disbanding is hard to accept but glad that they are free to fulfill their own goals and dreams. They can always reunite whenever they can too. Hope they maintain their bond with each other for life.

@@gabrielian4265 Soyou renewed her contract with them,cause she was comfy in the industry. However Starship is not a good entertainment industry. They really don't promote Soyou at all (there are people and her fans too,at the comment section of "Gotta Go" that wrote,that if they hadn't watch Monsta X's tik tok video with Soyou's comeback song,they wouldn't know its existence. Only Soyou try to promoter herself via her IG profiles), and Monsta X's promotion exist,but are not that good either. Also when it comes to Sistar,we can all admit that the line distribution was too bad,cause Bora barely had lyrics on most of their MVs. Let me also comment,that only Soyou and Hyolyn had solo projects of their own,so this is not such an accomplishment,that Starship could brag about. Last but not least,at the 10th Anniversary of Sistar, Starship had the audacity to only do two Instagram posts,one for Soyou and one for Dasom,since only them stayed under the industry. Like the other two didn't exist in Sistar's history from the time they decided to leave the company.

Sistar's disbandment took me by surprise. Around that time, there were a lot of groups who disbanded like 2ne1, Secret, 4Minute, Tara, etc. But this is the only group that made me cry.

I think Sistar is one of the very few girl groups that is effortlessly sexy, you can really tell they enjoyed it and weren't forced to do it, they're naturally all beautiful and genuinely friends. You gotta love that.

Them disbanding as a united front is a SIGNIFICANT statement to all K-pop groups how a group should be. High respect to SISTAR! I cried big happy tears during their goodbye stage. Sistar was a very professional group. They always strove to provide a top-quality product on all the important dimensions. The Music, the Costumes, the bodies, sexiness, the scenery, the lighting, the location, the video quality, the timing, the background activities, decorations, easter eggs, little teasers, beauty, making, special effects, the mood. They had all the bases covered, almost all of the time.

yeah man i feel you. i'm not what you'd call a 'super fan' or anything, but i kinda teared up as well. i REALLY REALLY REALLY miss the second generation of kpop man. that's my era, when i started stanning multiple kpop groups. that's when my kpop story began(i assume for you too), and any thing from back then makes me extremely nostalgic. things were just so pleasant for kpop back then man.....(i say this at the risk of sounding like a granny but i'm 21)

Sistar was definetly the best summer groups to do the concept. And of course they are one of the best sexy groups. And im sad but happy that they disbanded. Its in their contract and they have a great run. Gonna miss them. And i hope they all have a great solo career

SISTAR was always Hyolyn . Her voice is immediately recognizable in a sea of "samey" sounding K-POP artists. Some others that come to mind are Hyuna(especially her rap/flow) and Hwa Sa.

But as far as I remembered being a star1 it was Bora’s fall (accident) make their group noticed by public as what shown in the video.. Until they won several awards on ISAC (especially Bora). Hyolyn’s voice was later then noticed by the public. So SISTAR is not just Hyolyn. Sistar is Sistar.

SISTAR was the first girl group that got me into kpop with touch my body and it was totally by mistake So I was looking at an AMV(An Anime Music Video for people who don't know)Of Kamisama Hajimemashita and It was with touch my body and I was like"WOW that song is wonderful I wanna know who sings it" AND THEN I saw those beautiful ladies and I fell in love with them and later on with kpop and now I Stan more than 90 boy-girl groups and someone needs to send help cause the situation is getting out of hand with my addiction to kpop😂 Thank you for making this video for them I got emotional with you don't worry We will always miss our summer queens that's for sure but they all are doing great as I have seen till now so lets support our girls❤

Legit, I just got into K-Pop 8 months ago, but when I found SISTAR on my own (I think through the "Bubblegum K-Pop" playlist on Spotify) I was hooked. Everyone that I know who introduced me to the "Hallyu Wave" never mentioned SISTAR because all of them got their start in the movement probably just after they disbanded. Originally, I started off as a BLACKPINK fan, but when I heard the melodies, harmonies and "clockwork" timing of the girls of SISTAR it was just mindblowing for me. No lie, I probably listened to their entire discography on Spotify at least 50, maybe 60, times by now and it just never gets old - this level of talent is timeless. Hell, they're so talented they have a track with Giorgio Moroder (i.e. "Papa Giorgio") or all music industry legends! Yeah, to say their disbandment was a huge blow to the industry is an understatement.

welcome to the party SISTAR is the cleanest Girl Group ever: no drama, no scandal, no conflict, no member left, no change member, no bad songs (even their B SIDES song are so good), came from small company and have small fandom but can become the most respected Girl Group ever, debuted with high heels disbanded with high heels....B.E.S.T. Girl Group for reasons. people nowadays listen to BLACKPINK, TWICE, MOMOLAND, etc....and here I am still listen to every SISTAR songs over and over again.

@@straightlogic1015 I came to K-Pop thanks to MAMAMOO & the description you give seems to fit them as well. All 4 are truly singing sisters and even though they came from a small agency, no major scandals (unless you count Hwasa's dress "violations" at the airport), they broke out big based on their undeniable singing, rapping & dancing talents along with their hard work. I am going to enjoy getting to know more about SISTAR (and I'm also intrigued by a K-Pop group that played instruments called Wonder Girls).

SISTAR's disbandment signalled the end of my second generation Kpop story. They're disbandment was beautiful but same as every disbandment, it is heartbreaking. Summer has never been the same without the real summer queens.

Thank you for making this video. Sistar is the reason I listen to Kpop and will forever be my favorite group. It's always bittersweet thinking about them. They were my gateway into k-pop. Especially SISTAR 19, then SISTAR. But man I do miss them, but happy for them as well. For some reason I thought that, as long as one of them wanted to stay as a group, they would stay together, till the last one said she was ready to go and that’s what they did. This group was a power house, they had two of the top 10 vocalists in all k-pop (by many lists) with Hyolyn and Soyou, top dancers in Bora and Hyolyn, balanced personable diverse personalities. They could have been the best world wide but their strong SISTARhood let them go out on top. But thanks for the video. Brings back memories. I actually did guitar covers of some of their songs. Lol

I got into K-Pop and I got to know SISTAR after seeing Dasom in VIXX's Rock Ur Body MV. They became a really important part of my life, my favourite girl group ever. I love their whole discography, the girls' funny personality 😂 I was amazed whenever they came back with a new album. I truly miss them and will miss them! I support all 4 of the girls on their own paths ❤️ Thank you for everything, our Summer Queens💕

I started burst out crying when Lonely came on, knowing that, that was the last MV together before Nathan mentioning it. I can’t help missing them so much because they are my favourite girl group among all. I miss all of them harmonising each other so well. Plus their dorky sides when they were on Running Man😭😭😭

Beautiful Nathan. It was an awesome tribute to SISTAR. I’ve been with them since debut and it was an amazing ride. Summer never seems to have a start anymore but I’m happy I can always have a lovely memory of the girls when they come up because they ended things on their own terms.

It really hurts for me, 2016 was the year I became a kpop fan then I research all 1st and 2nd generation groups. Sistar was one and still one of my Favorite groups. It really hurts Lonely was my first and last comeback for them. I miss you Sistar same with the 2nd Generation groups, Kara,2ne1,GG,Girls day,T-ara and many more

As a long-time BAE and an even longer time SISTAR fan, I truly appreciate this insightful, wholesome, respectful telling of their beautiful story. I love them as a whole, but I'm more knowledgeable of Hyolyn's story. I'm working my way through Soyou's story and work and loving it! Her vlogs really show her funny, quirky, genuine personality in a way that I really love a lot! 😍I got a bit sidetracked, once Hyolyn introduced me to the LOVELY Lee Youngji!!! I'm working my way through her music because she is SOOO smooth and has SO much promise! But I've definitely not forgotten about the other ladies of Sistar 🥰
