I used that polyboard insulation (50mm though), to do my garage studio's ceiling, to keep it cool (South Africa!), and it was worth every penny.

@PeterLindgren, Peter, to keep the cold in the attic, take a piece of plywood that will lay across the top of the opening above the folding stairs and adhere some of the fiberglass or foam insulation to the top of the plywood. You can hinge it on one side or simply slide it out of the way as you climb the stairs. Doing this will greatly increase the warmth in the space below, and cut down on heating costs. Although hinging it does make it easier to cover the opening as opposed to having to slide it back and forth.

@@finnbellFCBDet beror lite på vill jag flika in! Mellan reglar i ett träbjälklag är inga problem (samma princip som på vägg och i tak), men under betong krävs lite extra planering (det går t.ex. inte att gjuta mot aluminiumlaminatet). Mellan betong och t.ex. parkett skulle jag inte rekommendera!
