She has the right idea that the entertainment industry is an industry of influence with the goal of making money. That is the true fantasy many believe in. As far as her friend, she needs to hold on to the Hope mentioned at John 5:28 & 29. “28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice. 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” Therefore, those that put their trust in his promise will get to see our loved ones under his terms. To be humble and trust him above all will secure our opportunity in witnessing what his Kingdom will accomplish.
As a Muslim I didn’t find her videos about God Offensive at all. In fact most of them resonated with me and I was happy to see her at peace cause that’s what a relationship with God does. She’s Christian, so obviously she’s going to talk about God from a Christian perspective but she never said anything to offend other religions. I think generally the ppl who were “offended” were ppl that have an issue with the idea of being held accountable to a creator. It didn’t matter what she said how she said it, or what religious perspective she came from. ppl who have a deep issue with God just don’t wanna hear about God.
People can’t be mad over someone choosing to live their life different from what they expected . She has always been respectful with her message about religion . Some people just don’t like anything that has to do with a higher power , and will bombard you with negativity because they see your peace, and have turmoil within themselves
I have a lot respect for China MacLaine because she took her stand. She saw the entertainment industry for what it is. It went against her values. Child actors experience a lot toxicity in Hollywood.
China is very smart and intelligent & has a good head on her shoulders she not like your average girl these days. That makes me very attracted to her & probably alotta other guys. Shes mos definitely the type of girl you wife quick
China was so young when she lost Cameron and his passing affected her deeply. The public doesn't always extend grace to young people in grief and young people in greif doesn't always extend grace to the public. I feel both parties have a long way to go, but I'm here cheering for her no matter what!

As a young person who lost their mom, the person in grief doesn't need to extend grace to the public. Grief is extremely complex and people should be given the space/grace the experience and grow through it in their own way. As long as it's healthy. Grief never goes away

Nope it hit me just as hard as any other time and I realized I'll be dealing with this for the rest of my life. That shit hurts
China definitely always was religious and her family is the same way. Her grandma goes to church with my MIL and she visited the church. Her grandparents are considered die hard Christian’s. I’m glad she stepped back into who she truly is. My 15 yr old loves her so much and we would sing calling all the monsters together. Blessings to you young lady. Looking back, I really gotta give it to China for being one of the only POCs to gain prominence during her time with Disney. She was like a second coming of Raven is some sense. Also got her sisters along for a little bit of that Disney pie making music with the company.

When I 13 years old God saved me. I literally walked away from a nice size record deal to do exactly what I felt God was leading me to. It's been 20 years now I don't regret it at all. God has been faithful to me.

I'm so proud of China, and I know how hard it was on her when Cam passed. They'll meet again one day and in the meantime she'll figure out what she wants to do. The Lord blessed her with many talents and she's left a mark on the industry. She's inspired many black girls and I don't think she knows it. I play that Uma song for the kids I work with and all of them, black, white, boy or girl will sing it like there's no tomorrow. She's going through things and ppl need to give her grace. She's also growing into a beautiful young woman and will be fine.

I’ve loved China for years and I will always support her and her projects. I’m not Christian, but I don’t mind her talking about her religion. She’s not harassing anyone or forcing people to become Christian. She’s going through a lot and lost someone really close to her. I think people should cut her more slack. Losing someone in this life who you're very close to is incredibly traumatic. I won't pass judgement. I just lost my mom during a surgical procedure so I know firsthand how that kind of grief causes an existential crisis.
I lost my dad to cancer and Covid that essentially came out of nowhere, especially his passing for me at least. I was 18(almost 6 months ago) and his youngest and hoping to see him again but it never came to be. For me I fell into a really deep depression for months. I’m still struggling with it but it’s not as bad as it was before. I hope you find your peace or at least attempt to. There’s no bigger feeling than lost especially if you all you was love

It’s clear that people just don’t like her for taking about her faith. They say she speak different since she became open for her faith but you can literally see her RU-vid videos on things so mundane like “New Year’s Wishes” and you can see her talking the same way as her other videos about faith. She never changed. It’s people who started seeing her different and just nasty at her for no reason. She’s not even homophobia as people assumed from her religion. She had several videos on why Christian is wrong for hating on LGBTQ when god said Love Thy Neighbor. She said Stop Asian Hate Crimes and said “hate and violence towards any community is everyone’s problem”. She even explained that she only read bible and do not go churches or organizations so she can focus on what god is than how hateful people use religion to spread hateful agenda.
Someone who doesn’t understand nor reverence the things of the spirit should not comment on someone who does. She wasn’t simply “coping” with grief. She has a calling on her life and I pray God sends her the pillars she needs to become and BE exactly who he purposed her to be

As much I love Sierra and China , Lauryn is who I’ve drawn closer to over the past few years and who I wonder about the most. She’s not as active in the industry as her sisters when it comes to acting but I do find her extremely talented when it comes to music. Years ago i remember her posting on instagram about her being a victim of sexual assault (she didn’t say by who of course) and how she had done things as a teenager that she regrets. I don’t know but I wonder if that incident is why she doesn’t do much work in the industry and stays so close to her parents. I pray she’s doing okay mentally.
Um did you not make it to the end? She’s a regular cast member in fox’s #1 drama 911 lone star that just got renewed for season 4 set to premiere in Jan 2023. Shes the most active in the industry out of her sister’s currently I would say.

I will NEVER forgive The CW for cancelling Black Lighting. UPN/CW has a history of ending Black shows and using those funds for shxtty shows like Riverdale. So glad that show will be done after season 7. These girls are so talented.

I watch the show 911 lonestar with the oldest sister is a 911 operator. They sung in the hospital over their dad,and I was moved to tears as their voices are beautiful.

I previously watched these videos of her but didn't think about it too deep. But I notice how she's speaking. There is a lot of evil things happening within Hollywood, which triggered her to be more in her faith plus the death of her cast mate, which is very strange. She can't tell us exactly what's happening in the industry so she's telling us to be careful who we idolized.
Yes, I was thinking this too. I don’t know what will be the consequences on me speaking on this, later in life, but in one of her videos she says “I tried to cheat the game” or “I played the game wrong” or something like that, and all I could think about is her trying not to get too deep in some of the evil the industry holds. i had loved Cameron since even before Jessie. His passing broke my heart just as a FAN, i can only imagine how hurt she was. I am the same age as her. And i am an atheist. But her loving and finding God in her life doesn't effect anyone but herself. If that's how she heals and maintains hope in the world, I respect that. I only have issue with people who use religion to spread hate and excuse ignorance. Cameron was such a great person and meant so much to her. They were best friends. His death was sudden and I can only hope she continues to live life and try her best to remember the happy moments with him.
China herself said that Cam’s death really shocked her and made her think about what is her life and how she want it to be than just chasing after accomplishments in the industry. In other video on her instagram she talked about racism in the industry that actual PoC actors do not get to give their opinions based on their own living experiences and cultural insights when directors and writers make them play racial stereotypes, and she wants every creators to be more responsible about hers they’re showing to the audience. People see China and say “her faith was a downfall of her career” but it’s her own will to stop catering to some harmful stereotype recreations in the industry and her own will to put her effort and time into her own personal life and happiness.
The way China talked about GOD in those earlier videos was complete truth. I think Cameron's passing opened her soul for GOD to make his way in deeper and break the black magic that the entertainment industry holds on these actors and actresses. GOD will continue to Bless her and her family and HE will continue to walk beside this young lady and strengthen her faith and love in HIM.

I never thought I'd feel nostalgia for the 2010s decade. WOW! I'm really getting old! It feels like ANT Farm should still be airing on Disney Channel tbh. The kids from that era have really grown up. I also miss seeing her on Tyler Perry's House of Payne. I just watched the new episode for this week tonight. I wonder why she left that show? I feel so bad for her being that grief stricken and depressed about her friend dying. I know how special it can feel to find a true friendship that lasts over a decade. Not many people will become that close to you and become that integral to your life in this world. I definitely pray for peace and healing for her heart. growing up china was one of the few poc characters that wasn’t just there to be the token black character and to check off the diversity box. seeing her and her sisters become successful in a positive light was such a great influence to the black kid viewers who didn’t see themselves much on the screen like me. cameron’s sudden death definitely hit her and others hard and it’s still hard to come to terms with. she’s been working since she was a child and since we’re about the same age I definitely believe she needs a deserves a break. physically and mentally. she’ll find her light again, just gotta let her find herself. she will ALWAYS be the super talented halloween queen who raised an entire generation🤎

When I hear "tolerant Christian" I think of the new progressive Christian type which, 1. China doesn't seem to be. And 2. I think it's an oxymoron. I can list all the reasons why I believe that, but I won't. It's possible to love someone beyond their sin, yet not tolerate their sin. Christians just aren't taught how to set those boundaries, and western society in general in recent times has become so entitled that we'll will cut off ties with someone who doesn't agree with us on the smallest of things.

I watched her many times with my daughter back in the day. She’s a very talented young woman and I wish her the very best. I pray she continues her relationship with the Lord and continues to grow in it. The death of a loved one obviously drew her to question her mortality and the superficiality of this life. It doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy life it just really puts things into perspective.
I always thought china would go the Keke Palmer route or be like Marsai Martin. I think she transitioned out of childhood and her image as a kid well and could really be big again if she chose the right project. She’s very talented!

I grew up Christian, I have experienced a shocking loss of a loved one at a very young age and it made me more religious, and I also believe some Christians are overly judgemental and pushy...so I can see everyone's separate points. I remember her video about leaving Black Lightning and I've always been curious about the details since she mentioned certain things that go on in the industry. This was a great summary video 👏🏾

That “do not judge” video was posted on SAME DAY as Lil Na X video. Her intention was to say “Christian who judge others and drive other away is the problem and people like Lil Nas X was victim who mirrors hate that they had received from Christian community”. Her perception on the issue was acknowledging that Christian was the root of problem. She even posted another video in 2020 that saying “people turned Christianity into a bullwhip to judge others and they call out others as if their own sins are less sinful. But you know what? If you judge gays and say they’re gonna go to hell, so are you, so am I.” She wasn’t deflecting the issue from homophobia in Christianity. She was always very vocal about it.

I met China once at the age of 11 & she was so down to earth & from what I can see she still is. She’s been in the industry for years…basically her whole life so if wants to take breaks she should & keep in mind she has seen more behind the scenes stuff that most of us will ever see & she has every right to speak up or walk away from it. She’s choosing the stuff that makes her happy now rather than a paycheck & I respect her for that. In terms of her beliefs she has every right to speak on her beliefs. I don’t agree with everything she said but I’m not going to tear her down for it either. We all believe in different things so y can’t she express how she truly feels…? Also even though I never met Cameron it hurt to know that he passed & I can only imagine how hard it was/is for China knowing him since they were kids. She had to find a way to cope with it & no one should fault her on her healing journey. I love & respect China & I can’t wait to see what she does next & hopefully I can met her again.
