Lost in the shuffle of 90s Carpenter in the remake of “Village of the Damned,” the 1960 chiller that was an adaptation of John Wyndham’s novel “The Midwich Cuckoos.” If there’s one movie in Carpenter’s filmography that hasn’t built up a following of any significance, it’s this one, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth another look - especially for those of us who’ve really only seen it the one time. SERIES SYNOPSIS: Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster but were beset with unforeseen disasters. Sometimes huge hits, sometimes box office bombs. Either way, we have to ask: What Happened To This Horror Movie?
