So many people just go through too much in life. Many black women go through so much from the time they’re little girls and once they start puberty (which usually happens early) they are rarely seen as a little girls anymore. Abusers come out of woodworks. First-hand experience. Happy Ms. Pat was able to overcome and love in spite of what happened to her.

@@richardwise7813 these kind of things usually happens in poor neighbourhoods, and statistically if you are black you are most likely to be from a poor neighbourhood, in her story, she got molested because she was poor. and she was raped by a black dude obviouly because she lived in a black neighbourhood. i feel like you were tryna make what you thought was a point but its just obvious shit. racism isnt always a white person doing something to a black person, the real world is more complicated that that. the poverty she faced because of which he had to go through that shit was the result of a long history of racism in america.

How can a child defend themselves against an adult..I will never forgive my Mother and the others, I've missed funerals of the guilty and I'll miss hers too, she's still with him and sold me out for less than 30 pieces of silver. Ive heard people speak ill of children that dont have a relationship with their parents but would they feel the same. Very judgemental. You are a very brave philosophical lady. Best of luck😊

Mrs. Pat! Your story is helping many people who have experienced being abused. You remind people that there is such thing as coming out on top when others let you down. It is important we are reminded that we are survivors we are strong and we are not to carry around shame. An abuser wants victims down in themselves because it helps them continue destroying others. I love your message of thriving despite being through life experiences that most couldn’t handle. May we all remember that we do not ever have to repeat the situation we experienced. May we help each other and encourage us all to be better people. Do not allow our souls to be overtaken by the evils of others! We thrive💕

It's true. My grandmother told me this how for years she frustrated over what a controlling horrible person my great grandmother was to her. But then one day she decided to just forgive her and moved on, she said it made things better to just let all that baggage go, even tough her mother didn't perhaps deserve forgiveness my grandmother needed the peace of mind. So what was said in the video really is true.

This is a powerful woman. The worst things in the world happen to you, but u grow and become stronger and learn. I wouldn't wish anything she's been through on anyone. But if it's happened and u stayed sane and follow that path to better yourself instead of self pity and blame, you can be a powerful person too.

Ms. Pat is a real strong woman. I don't know where she got that strength from. Compared to her, I handled my situations pretty terrible, as a kid, teen, and as an adult currently. I'm going Muay Thai and BJJ classes, and I still feel like a weak bitch. Ms. Pat is definitely a rare, special person. She looks like she got her formulas down to the fundamental core. I hope she stays that strong in the future.

She is a testament of the strength of a real woman. For a child to feel so trapped and traumatized with an abuser is one of the strongest things I’ve ever heard. A LOT of people overuse the word brave but Ms. Pat it. What’s even better is she’d probably slap the shit outta you if you called her brave.
