It’s so reassuring to know that it isn’t always accurate and has flaws. Will definitely help my anxiety issues for a year. Especially when I live in Michigan with real cold winters. Especially when I live over an hour away from the installation center and a tow truck.
I suppose every state is different. I'm in Florida. I violated on my Interlock (from drinking the prior day). Came back a couple of hours later and passed. Took the Interlock in for already scheduled servicing. And absolutely nothing happened. Device is now off. My diversion program is over and case is closed. If I had gone screaming to my case manager about the violation, who knows what would have happened? I'm not here to dispute the advice in this video; just providing another perspective/experience. Note: my interlock was court ordered and was not related to the DMV.
@@icekid342 no, i realize they try to instill fear, i had similar false alarms happn more times. Unless you keep failing a bunch of times they dont have enough evidence to prosecute you
Yeah, mouthwash is 40 proof, has mint, has Sorbitol a sugar alcohol artificial sweetener, all of which fail you unless you wait 15 minutes like everyone told you to. Or you used an alcohol free mouthwash and waited 3 minutes and drank water before testing. Like you were told to do. Like you read up on, right????? And do check all labels for ingredients that end in ol or yl, right?????
These machines would be easy to fool by using a machine that simulates how a human breathes. It would be a relatively easy matter to create a human dummy with mouth apparatus to which the blow piece can be inserted or left mounted. The human dummy wouldn't need to be shaped like a person at all so it would be super easy to conceal inside of the chairs or other spaces inside the vehicle. Should a driver be pulled over or has to go in for mandated tests and calibrations there would be no evidence in the ignition system of tampering. Without a court approved search warrant for mechanisms that override the breathalyzer ignition lock the driver can breeze by without ever having to put up with these unconstitutional violations of their rights. Another option is to have a secondary ignition switch or button installed. Possibly with a toggle that is routed to an existing control panel button or switch. There is no way for the lock to detect whether the vehicle is in operation when it isn't getting real live data. check your local state laws to see which ones state it is illegal to charge an installation and service fee. Imagine these things being installed on an electric car. Some cars have room for a 2nd battery which could serve as the starter battery. So having the interlock setup on one for constant power and then the car's ignition on the other battery would be an effective bypass. There seems to be no sensor involved in whether or not the vehicle is in motion or use of any sort. Does this thing go off after the car has been parked when nobody is inside of the car? Collecting evidence of how it intentionally fails drivers is an easy use for dash cams that record video and audio with date and time stamps. Be sure to turn off any features that will allow the dash cam to delete existing files to make room for new ones.
It said increases iid usage instead of the original time it was supposed to be taken out. Drivers license revoked or suspended permanently or temporary and in some cases jail time. Or maybe be reassigned to treatment and aa
There's no point of getting an interlock then they are designed to get you to fail for the slightest alcohol 0.02 in Washington. If you violate it's counted as a gross misdemeanor even if your below 0.08
I was eating a bag of funion and the device said i was blowing dirty , they charge me for that count and it doesnt matter if is food or juice you always will be guilty thats how the systems wants it... lawyer, judgeds governnors,, all that low key..
Yeah because you guys are so sneaky and desperate to drink and drive we need to catch you when you're lying. Honestly you shouldn't even be on the road if you need a fucking breathalyzer to start your car... we used to laugh at people who had to blow to start the ignition. Absolute scumbags
Oh so not only do you pay 150 a month but your also liable to fork up thousands of dollars for an attorney when the device fails it’s sole purpose cool got It
this is stupid advice. If i am not drinking but it pulls some positive yet I a have a half hour to be at work or get points or discipline. I am having my wife take me to work or call an Uber.
