Just how durable is the Tesla model 3 center glass display screen? What happens if you destroy it? Time to find out. FACEBOOK: / techrax TWITTER: / techrax INSTAGRAM: / techrax
Frankly, it's not surprising that it still works, it's just that the screen was smashed. It's like breaking your computer monitor and being surprised at how it still works.
@medialync Yeah that kinda makes sense, but we are talking about a car that depends on a screen to function. What I expected was that it would be undrivable since the screen got destroyed.
I once smashed the ring bell of my bicycle and to my surprise, the bicycle worked flawlessly even after ripping off the ring bell. How amazing is that?!?
You'll need a lot more than hammer to reach and remove the speedometer. And then you still have a full day worth of removing other parts of the car... Vs smash a big screen the middle of the dash
You kidding? It's literally just a screen. It's likely to be under 200$ to make, the repair consists of attaching a cable and popping in the screen. In short, it's an absolute ripoff.
My mom said she would buy me a new mic if my video reaches 1000 views because I sing so good. This is for serious people only so haters can leave. DO NOT dislike my video
3:15 - "Dude it is INSANE. When I smash my keyboard, my PC keeps working! I can just connect another keyboard and it keeps going. Those things are built like a brick!"

@@raygaullas2179 You have got to be kidding me!!!!! You only uploaded 1 video (1 day ago) and you already have 300 subscribers!!!! I am so jealous right now because I have 5 videos on my channel and I only have 51 subscribers.
@@ChazzaPvP I checked out your channel, you do gaming videos!! Gaming videos are supposed to be very popular on RU-vid and you're barely growing! Honestly the RU-vid algorithm is quite unfair to small creators like us!
I’ve been watching this man since middle school. I was like nooo he’s destroying a iPhone 6. Now that I’m in college, I’m like nooo he’s destroying a Tesla 😂😂

@@1dgram Techrax: what's up guys techrax here and today I'm gonna show you a trick to put gasoline in your Tesla, so im gonna drill a hole in the charger *drills hole* alright now that we have a hole let's fill it up with some gas, *pours gasoline* alright let's start it up *Tesla then explodes*
Great work! This was actually cheaper video to make than one of the "drop test latest gen foldable phone to break it" crap. Maybe you can retry the task with one of the Teslas that got rid of the stalk or other physical buttons to operate the features without the screen?
What would have been interesting if you had pin to drive on with smashed screen you wouldn’t be able to drive as you would need to touch the screen with PIN numbers
Good idea but tesla is proggrammed to work with the autopilot for a few minutes i belive, if it doesn't feel the hands of a driver on the wheel for a few minutes it will give a warning, two warnings and the car will stop and turn on emergency lights
@@shahnoorsyed6769 yeah there happen to be about 7.5 billion of us here on earth. I wouldn't be so surprised bumping into one of them on a public platflorm.
Clearly you don’t understand how RU-vid works this view got 1.2 million views assuming his channel is monetize which virtually everybody’s is that is a RU-vidr in the whole point of him doing this video is the habit monetize acquired 1.2 million views on average each 1000 views you get you make typically 1 to 3 dollars per view so if you split the difference I just assumed it was two dollars per view per view assuming he doesn’t have any other sponsors that sponsored him to do this he just made $2400 plus whatever exposure he gained from new subscribers that would help his other videos gain more views and more traction on his account and at the end of the day his insurance assuming his deductible is average of 3 to 500 like most people in the states are he made a $2000 profit off of literally 15 minutes of work
@@tygs Yes there are multiple parameters but typically the numbers still make a difference this wasn’t being done just to show what happens it was done for monetary gain
The touch screen isn’t the “brain” of the car it’s nothing more than user interface. So yes the car is still drivable without it. Like a laptop when the screen goes bad. The CPU is what operates the machine.

@@benweedman7628Yes but who would like to own a car that does that. Like imagine you are in some scenario when you have to run away for your life with your car and the screen for some reason isn't working and the car just be like "nah I'll just let you die" even though the car is still drivable. Not being able to tell your speed is your problem and you should get the car fixed.
I've had gearheads ask me about what happens if a kid threw something at my screen while I'm driving and stuff like that. So it's good to have an actual answer and not just an assumption. I'm honestly surprised how well the screen held up against a sledgehammer.
Well.. yes of course it’ll still work. You only broke the LCD (which is totally replaceable). It is like, if you have a laptop, smash the screen, then plug an HDMI or a VGA chord to an external display (like a Monitor or a TV). Or just replace the Screen, your device would still work.
You would think with all the SMART technology in computers nowadays that there would be a safety system that would make the car not drivable if the aforementioned happened, if that makes sense. I think that was the point.
