At around four minutes in, when drew is doing the bit with the audition, you can see a small sign hanging in the background with various horses on it. I have that same sign. Always have. Honestly lip synching along to dialogue in a mirror could be a good way to practice emoting more with your face instead of leaning entirely on your voice, as long as you acknowledge that's all it is and nothing more.

Yeah. Coming back, lipsyncing can help learn how to emote for others. Learning by watching and imitating others is good, but then I watch the “acting” and they can’t even emote good.

I used to make stupid musically videos when I was kid lipsyncing to different songs and I honestly believe it made me better at making facial expressions. I like to learn kpop dances and a lot of people who just started learning them will lipsync while they dance with a completely neutral expression while their mouth barely mouths. But I think do the exaggerated expressions when lipsyncing on musically actually helped me do realistic emoting with my face while dancing.

As someone went through all 11 seasons (I'm a completionist and hate myself for it): seasons 1-2 were cringe, seasons 3-9 were ok-ish, in season 10 I really don't know what they were thinking with that one and season 11 was the worst of all. you wouldn't think it can go any worse and it did get worse. They even don't give a damn about continuity anymore. Season 11 is just an unrelated series of Dhar Mann videos

To be fair with the locker thing in Chicken Girls - kids in my school never actually locked our lockers, we would just close them. There was one time the girl with the locker next to mine didn't notice when something fell out so I just opened her locker and put it back

There's nothing wrong with like 11 year olds badly lip-synching to victorious, they're just doing it for fun. But when adults badly lip-synch to victorious, expecting to get a netflix original series from it, we have a problem. Edit: I also feel like if your gonna learn all the lines to something you could just say it yourself. It's still not going to be emmy-worthy but it would be a lot more impressive than lip-synching

I think the reason why that show and Gravity Falls are good is because the creators (Dan Povenmire/Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh and Alex Hisch) cared, and they wrote a show that was for adults, by adults that could be enjoyed by kids, too. I don't really consider Disney itself to be the reason that those shows are so great

@@christiancevallos9820 Yeah! Gravity Falls had loads of darker undercurrents during its first season foreshadowing the next. It was well thought out and the puzzle pieces all clicked together. And they had themes, and therefore, depth and meaning, but without being preachy to the point where you might as well just tell one of Aesop's Fables. I'm so glad someone gets it lol
