As a teenager I also just was in love with great watches so much so I was just addicted & I purchased several not only for myself but for the ppl.that mattered in my life ⌚ during that time I used to think something was wrong with me ??? until I started traveling internationally. I'm happy to report that their are millions of watch ❤ around the 🌎 & I'm perfectly fine at the age of 51 yrs.old I still don't have an all time favorite because I Love so many different brands.😃

I was a teacher and I dressed everyday so my sister bought me a watch to fill out the look and I kind of fell head first into the industry starting with a Timex indiglo and then I quickly found a passion for vintage with a blue Clinton automatic from 67. My next birthday I was so far committed that I bought a wittnauer 7004a for my birthday

I get what your saying about old vs. new, BUT i bought my birth year Rolex from you - a 1964 Datejust. I absolutely love that fucken watch more than my panda Daytona. The fact that a 57-year-old watch continues to work flawlessly is just beyond cool, technology be damned. Will definitely buy another vintage piece…. Fun video, keep it up…

6:40 regarding Brownsville - when my girlfriend and I came to New York for the first time, we booked an Airbnb there, thinking that it was just Brooklyn 🙈 The host was the nicest guy, but we quickly figured out that that was not the neighbourhood we wanted or almost „could“ stay for five days.

I love Daytonas but there not worth jumping through all the obstacles to obtain 1 or spending 40k on the grey market. Vintage Daytonas are a different story I rather get a Zenith Daytona over a current ceramic Daytona anyday 👌

A Zenith Daytona ref 16520 I actually prefer pre ceramic on Daytonas I just don't care for ceramic bezels on Daytonas. When I think of a Daytona I think of steel bezels

My Dad took me out to a London discount Department Store, to buy me a Sekonda Automatic, for my birthday in the early 70's. After we had completed the purchase he bought himself a much much nicer Seiko Automatic dress watch. That really upset me, but later realized he was a massive narcissist. His behaviour never improved.

So there you go. Theo and Harris are contributers to why a vintage Rolex is now the same price as a new one. Not saying they are the only ones but they contributed todays used vintage prices. I prefer only vintage Rolex but at today's vintage prices with aftermaret/fake parts becomming harder to spot and the potential of getting a franken is high so I got of of the collecting game. NO way in helll would I spend $15k + on a 5513 today.
