I am using T95Z Plus Android 6.0 Amlogic S912 Smart TV Box, since November of 2016. For over the year of using it, the performance is very smooth and very happy with it.

Hey Saxon, hehe!! I just enjoy what i do in life, either my work as a teacher, playing with my kids, spending time with family and off course sharing some ideas here on YT. Can you say something about the image & sound quality between the Amlogic & Hisilicon SOC? I'm currently running the Himedia Q5 Pro and for me it looks like the image quality in video's is better with the Hisilicon chipset compared to my other Box wich is a Wetek Play 2.

I always tell people, don't pass go and don't collect $200.00. Pay a little more and get the hands down best performance box at this day and time and that's the Nvidia Shield. You'll never second guess yourself concerning purchasing the very best out there. Great review Roberto.

Hey Tom, i also believe that its best to pay more and get something that we will enjoy!! Fastest Android TV OS box - Shield / Fastest Pure Android TV Box Minix U9-H. These are 2 safe choices depending on the OS that we prefer than as the price comes down compromises will rise up 👍

I am new when I bought a Amlogic S905x Quad core 64 bit M9S box. It has been a nightmare with every program not responding. Takes about 10mins to get goinmg before then you click on some thing and you see it happen on screen 20-30 seconds latet. I hate it

I've had a Vorke Z1 Amlogic 912 with 3gb DDR4 for a year. I'm not sure why it's rarely mentioned but in term of speed, it's light out. The only problem I've had is that black scenes in Kodi gets too dark. It's apparently a known issue with S912 chips? Is that true? A way around it was to go play some 4k video on a video player than somehow the color would adjust quite a bit. On Kodi forum, they say that people should stick with the 905. What's your take on that?

Hi, I am trying to decide between the minix u9h and ez stream Ti8, they both seem to have the same specs and around the same price. The ez has a nicer web site. I appreciate any help, thanks. I tried the kukele 3/32g but it was just a little faster than my Amazon Fire stick.

Hey Gary and Celtic, in my opinion the U9-H is one of the best choices which goes against what Celtic boy just mentioned below. I use one on a daily basis and its by far my Favorite Pure Android TV Box and the Fastest one on the Market without a question. All the Updates released by Minix on the U1 and U9-H went without any issues at all so i cannot share CelticBoy opinion. I also have 2 Nvidia Shield (2016 and 2017) and althought they are great they dont give me the same freedom as a Pure Android TV Box. My opinion here is as it was since the 2 devices were release: If you prefer Pure Android go Minix U9-H. If you prefer Android TV OS then the Shield is a great choice. On the Other hand if you really like Android TV OS i would also consider the Mibox 3 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j3VQ8Ul0Kyw.html which can accomplish almost everything the Shield does at 1/4 of the price and my comparison here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2Y15HWj1Sro.html Hope it helps RJ 👍

Kirk, if you are going to use it for storage of pictures etc, honestly use the cheapest you can get but if you plan to use to expand internal storage than get the fastest that you can get, and off course it will be more expensive but needed to install aps etc 👍

Kirk, forget the established brands from the PC-RAM world like PNY, GeiL Patriot etc when choosing an SD card. You want to buy SanDisk, Sony or Sanyo class 10 (although almost every card sold now are class 10) for safe storage.

Yes but what about quality of sound,settings, bass, frecuencies, levels... My last tv box had a lot of problems with hdmi desconectings Why? I dont know There are a lot of cells whith 13 megapixel cameras but is it the same the sony xperia than the huawei? You know...

Hey Manuel, yes i understand 100% but my biggest Handicap at this level is that i dont have a capable receiver to tell everyone which machine passes dolby Dts etc and which dont. I have a investment plan for a receiver but i still need some time 😊 Its definitely something very important that i want to be able to cover in the future 👍

voyager All the box have the ability hardware wise to do so. It’s the OS that is limiting you. As of now as far as I know you need a box that runs android for TV, not regular Android. Such as the Shield. Roberto has a video of some boxes other than the shield that run Android TV. Look for his Android vs Android TV he talks about them in there.

Any time. I should clarify I think it has to do something with licensing rights Plain Android does not have them Android TV does. Silly but what ya gonna do. I have heard of some hack apk that supposedly bypass this but have yet to find 1 that works.

Hey Voyager, at this moment Shield, Mibox 3, Wetek Hub, Wetek Play 2 will play up to 4K. Zidoo H6 Pro goes up to HD and most other boxes will only go to SD because they don't have Netflix license. Usually Android TV OS boxes like shield, Mibox have a license for it 😊

I want to be able to download movies etc from a android box to some kind of storage device so I can watch them later. Internet available slowest ever so movies etc keep buffering. Will any of these devices allow you to easily do this and if so how. I appreciate your help I currently own a nexus player but cannot get it to allow me to download to outside storage device. I don't know what you've tried so far, but I see some sites that show how to use external storage with the Nexus Player, so you may not need a different box. Looks like you would need a USB OTG cable with the Nexus. A file browser app, if you don't already have one installed, would be useful. I assume you'd be able to download directly to the external storage since the Nexus storage is so small, but you'd be able to manually move stuff.

Hey james, that is a interestsing question but like the Shield, Mibox 3 and Razer the Nexus Player is a more "closed" system with Android TV OS so it might not be as easy as on a Pure Android TV Box. Ravagin below searched and found something that might be useful 👍

If your streams are freezing it's probably nothing to do with your box as 99% of the boxes are fine streaming live and high bitrate content. More to do with the your ISP and the service you are using for the streams. Free streams will ALWAYS freeze.

Hey Kragger, true what Fraudster just said, the ISP or those free streamer services might be the cause as the load of streaming is very light for any box at all. Any S912 with 2GB Ram will be more than fine for streaming services 👍

If a box become bricked and no longer boit on android or have no signal from output , is that a software or a hardware problem?

Hi Reda, can be either. Hardware fail usually will not display anything at all. Firmware fail can display a light on the box, or a image on screen. If you have nothing try to use another power adapter, i have seen some power adapters failed in the past

Hey Navin, the GT1 is a budget box and works fine for what it is. It has a great price point with a really nice hardware and the only thing that is not 100% is the firmware that has some bugs. Beelink has been trying to eliminate them but still not 100%

all socs are old and insufficient anymore .speeds belongs to 2 years ago . at least 2ghz cpu& sd 530 equivalent gpu needed. but they only changed numbers s802>s912 and not much performance changed . 2g ram> 3-4gb just happened nowadays . so tvbox devs sucked at development . expected to see nvidia k1 performance in 2017 but seems China learned capitalist games in a bad way . allwinner and rockchip turned into big disappointments after their popular socs. would expect better things from mediatek(bcs cheap& fast cpu ) but guess they focused only cellphones. maybe I'm missing somethings

Although i can understand your point of view, at this moment the mai issue is on software more than on hardware. There isnt a single piece of software available that slows down any S912 or equivalent device. I would love to see Plex developing a server side for Pure Android and then we could see some more improvement on the Socs but until then i dont see the need for more power. Regarding S802/812 vs S912 true performance wise nothing special, but there were other implementations like the H265 10 Bit hardware decoding capability and others that were missing. Lets see what the future holds, but if the software side doesn't push then we wont see many changes in hardware. The example is the PC Games pushing GPU´S at their maximum that manufactures keep pushing every single year great improvements in performance 👍

Roberto Jorge what's your favourite? I read quite a lot of good reviews on the h96+ n there's few decent custom ROMs out there to increase overall performance
