On all of the dunes at around 6:33, what are all of those black things sticking up out of the dunes that are casting shadows? They almost look like trees or something
@astrumspace

They are the dust deposits left by gas releasing from under the ice. Check out the first video in this series about the polar regions of Mars to find out more about them! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mBuvVM_e4G0.html

Your channel is absolutely top shelf, among the many other science/astronomy channels on RU-vid. Keep it up! Our deepening understanding of the planets of our solar system, and the many other dwarf planets, rocky asteroids and icy bodies, as well as the growing list of exoplanets certainly makes it clear that there are innumerable possibilities, and that there is no simple template for world building. I firmly believe that our scope of imagination can hardly begin to grasp what the physics of the universe can and does engineer. Considering the inconceivable complexity of a human being, it is no surprise we are continually astounded by new discoveries on these vastly larger scales. Keep it coming Astrum! Thanks for your time and effort

I love your videos, man. Look forward to every single one, always. Audio tip: Try recording your voice inside a thick blanket, or make a small box out of PVC and towels or blankets. It will really help cut out the reverb and give you more headroom to work with. Your RMS is about 9db quieter than the most popular channels with good audio. Sadly, we all perceive "loud" as "good".
@astrumspace
@astrumspace 5 лет назад
What is RMS? Forgive me I'm not an audio engineer, but I am willing to learn! This is actually with a blanket over my head, sadly the new apartment I just moved to is really echo-y. I bought a rug and I'm looking to put stuff on my walls soon.
@EricPeelMusic
@EricPeelMusic 5 лет назад
Your audio should sound even better with those extra materials. Try putting pillows in as many corners as possible. RMS refers to the average volume level in an audio signal. By removing the echo and all other noise, fewer resonating frequencies will trigger your compressor/limiter, and your compressed audio will sound much more natural. Before you finish producing your next video, feel free to send me your audio tracks and I'd be happy to mix them. I'm always looking for good sources to practice on. I'll send you a PM.

The atmosphere of Mars is supposed to be very thin..yet we see clouds in the sky, and whirlwind dust cyclones traveling across the surface. How are these whirlwinds formed and how do they pick up the dust which has mass if the atmosphere is supposedly so thin?
@karlsjunior466
@karlsjunior466 4 года назад
The electric universe theory says that because the atmosphere is so thin and there is almost no magnetic field, the electricity from space (there is alot there) interacts with the Martian surface. Free flowing electricity forms the whirlwinds by means of berkland currents, sending it high into the thin atmosphere. The electric universe model explains a lot of things that the standard model doesn't. Check out The Thunderbolts Project. It's full of good stuff.
@md14rh27
@md14rh27 4 года назад
@@karlsjunior466 Not only that,but he's left out the part about solid structures that 'appear' to be dunes.When in fact,they're solid things created by HUGE electrical shaping.They're not sand or dust at all.Since the atmosphere IS so minute,there's really nothing to wear away these structures.But from space and such,they appear to be moveable with wind and all.

However, a little earlier you show transverse dunes on Earth and then you seem to be transitioning to example of them on Mars. When you show the picture, you say it's nothing like on Earth. So are they transverse or not ? Or did I miss something ?
