Kristen! Your videos are more and more inspiring, you are so productive and creative right now, just incredible. I am so inspired by your work. Although I tend to dream of drawing and painting more because I'm currently in hospital (for four months now) being treated for leukemia. You really are a great role model, especially because I know that you, too, have been through a history of illness... - and now, despite sometimes having little strength, you can do so, so much. Hi! I found you through the recent sketchbook tour and was so inspired by your playful style, use of different materials, and the way you are moving through life with chronic illness. I've been watching older vlogs too. Thanks for sharing your process with us! So many gems in this video! Shout out to Dickies, love it. Also definitely get a piston convertor if you haven't already for your fountain pens so you can use waterproof inks. I've been happy with the Roher & Klinger "Sketch Ink" series. Their color Thea is my jam!

I feel you on the infusion. Every 8 weeks I get an infusion called Ultomiris. It should be a 2 hour infusion but I’m at the cancer center for 7 to 8 hours because I’m allergic to it so it needs to be infused a very slow rate. I get 5 premeds 2 of them are Benadryl and Ativan. Then I react 5 minutes into the infusion and get more Benadryl. I sleep for hours and hours afterward. My next infusion is in 3 days. Fun times. Anyway, I love your work!

This was so cool to see what goes on in your day to day life as an artist. I am currently a graphic designer and desperately yearning to be more creative in my daily life and hope to potentially one day make the leap into being an illustrator (as this corporate advertising life is not it!! let me tell you). Thank you for sharing some of your daily life with us. And thank you for researching Uline. I am still trying to convince managers where I work to stop buying stuff from them. Also, there is an artist on RU-vid who often fountain pens, and I am pretty sure he also recommended the Kakuno pens for drawing. I can't for the life of me remember his name, though. Maybe someone else here will chime in with his name or RU-vid name. Oh, and I love how you use your pre-school teaching experience in your communications with clients now.

tip with underglazes, i use them alot in my ceramics and you can totally mix the colors! I personally add in white to a lot of my underglazes to dilute them and make them more pastel :)

I just found your channel and have certainty in subscribing. I absolutely love what you do. I have undeveloped ability in drawing and painting. I live on disability for schizophrenia. I have a sister in Montana. I spend my time practicing guitar. To support myself as you are seems so pleasant! I would like a book on what art supplies to buy and how to use them. The uline folks are wild, we get their catalog at my machine shop and they always have some crazy essay at the end about their values, sometimes they’re laughable, other times gross. 0/10 wish I knew who I could recommend.

You have such a warm and comforting energy pouring from your videos. I can’t believe you’re accomplishing so much while still having to deal with all the health issues. I went through half a year of feeling like a lifeless rag doll due to what I think was long covid. On my worse days I could barely handle simple daily tasks (and I wasn’t even employed back then!) I ended up envying people who could go for a walk at the part without getting fatigued. Not a healthy mindset at all. Seeing people like you gives me a lot of needed support and motivation to not give up on living a full life, no matter how good or bad my body feels today. I’m sure that you’re strong enough to deal with all the hardships in your life and I wish you healing completely so you can have even more energy to share the joy of life with those who need it ❤

I don’t think I’ve ever related to you more than I do in this vid! The pistachio shells in the car, the treat for being “brave when having stitches removed and not crying”, ordering the wrong size tubes for prints and later discovering they were ordered from a morally awful company… these are all 💯 things I would do 😂 thank you for sharing! Your painting is looking incredible! Will ‘The Immortals’ be available as a print? I’m in love with it!
