Great job 😃👌🏾💯. Very inspiring. I'm thinking 🤔 about getting the surgery to help with my medical conditions.

Don’t do it.. I just had it slap yourself real hard and go to the gym and drink 64 ounces of water every day and only eat jello and bone broth for a month then ask do you still want it. I know for a fact I will regret this years later. This isn’t a lifestyle for me.

Can I make a couple of suggestions? 1. Use full fat Fairlife (if they make it) bc ur body needs fat in the AM to keep from hunger till lunch, and the body needs fat to make sex hormones. Maybe ur lactose intolerant, but probably not bc u eat various cheeses. U could even use real heavy cream instead of Fairlife. The calories won’t do u in bc the chemicals & soy in ur other foods are actually doing u in. 2. Instead of Country Crock, which has lots of chemicals and SOY which will slow ur thyroid and slow down wt loss, use KerryGold butter (available at Sam’s Club). It’s grass fed which will help BURN fat and speed up wt loss. 3. The hot chocolate is made with artificial sweeteners. They will cause Insulin Resistance and give u a bigger sweet tooth and they actually do raise insulin. You can get or make a healthier hot cocoa by using real whole milk and organic cocoa powder with honey perhaps. With a little research u can find a much better way to make hot choc. BTW, ur craving for choc means despite taking vits you r low on Magnesium. U can buy Mo’ Maggie topical magnesium gel to put on your limbs or feet or low back or wherever ur might have some aches, pains or stiffness at night b4 bed. It will: provide magnesium, fix aches/pains, reduce cravings for chocolate, improve deep sleep, reduce sugar cravings, help with wt loss by lowering stress and cortisol. Amazon. (Wash hands, do not get into eyes/mucous membranes.) 5. Take 900 mg Saw Palmetto twice a day. Spring Valley brand, Amazon. Take a selfie b4 and take another selfie 4 hours after your dose - your face will change by looking super feminine. That’s bc Saw Palmetto blocks DHT which ur body is creating from existing Testosterone, which is causing symptoms of PCOS which causes high androgens. This leads to acne, rough skin, thinning hair, belly fat, hair in odd places, cravings for sugar and Insulin Resistance. It will fight Insulin Resistance and help with belly fat, wt loss and hair/skin/nails. These specific tweaks are GAME CHANGERS.

Amanda Athanas of course you can always make suggestions. I appreciate your thoughts and input. I will definitely look into these things especially the last vitamin you recommend to help combat PCOS symptoms. I regard to magnesium my levels are actually high. I just had my labs done ironically and that was the only thing just slightly out of range. I don't actually like chocolate or crave it. Hot chocolate is just warm and sweet and doesn't have a strong chocolate taste to me so I enjoy it. Again thanks so much for you input. I really appreciate it. Always nice to learn new things.

SeekingMiniMe VSG: You will be amazed by the Saw Palmetto. (Seriously: take 2 selfies.) Some ladies have tried it and didn’t think it helped, but they didn’t use this brand or this dosage - they used too small a dose. It wears off after about 6 hours. That is interesting about your magnesium levels. You know I have your best interests at heart bc I appreciate you, your journey and I enjoy your videos. So any suggestions are given to help u rock it even more!

Amanda Athanas I'm glad you enjoy my videos, that means a lot to me and I love listening to people's suggestions. I don't pretend to know everything by any means and there is always room to learn and for improvement so I appreciate you. Just out of curiosity were did you get all this information from? Just researching it yourself? Or are you in the medical field. You just sound very educated on all this and I was just wondering.

SeekingMiniMe VSG: I’m not in the medical field. My husband is an R.N., but I haven’t learned that much from him (a few things though). Mostly he has learned stuff from me, which he used to resist admitting, until recently. I learned a lot from self study while trying to uncover and resolve my own medical conditions. I have been doing that since about 1997. I have learned a lot from my Naturopath in Scottsdale, who was voted Top Doc in the Valley 2 years in a row. She is like an educator bc she explains things during visits. She talks VERY fast in order to treat her patients AND teach them things during each visit. Oprah interviewed her once to consider hiring her for a recurring medical segment on her show, but she wasn’t chosen. From all the research I had already done on my own for years, she told me it was a delight to have me in for a visit bc I was one of her most informed patients. Because she never has to explain the basics to me during visits, we can discuss more advanced things. I have also learned a lot through my own trial and error and seeing what works. I was very motivated to feel better and understand the ROOT of various problems. The more I learned, the more questions I came up with and the more I wanted to learn. I also have a conventional PCP. It’s tricky walking the line between my Naturopath and PCP. I listen to both of their suggestions, then decide how to proceed. My PCP usually only suggests prescriptions or surgery for any problem. My Naturopath will explain the root reason for a problem and suggest a supplement and/or lifestyle change. Sometimes, however, my Naturopath is okay with certain prescriptions or surgery. She knew I HAD to have my appendix out. My PCP is okay with the natural supplements I take - she just wants to know about them. Each doctor knows what treatment the other is giving me. I kind of think they are in a competition to see which one is helping me reach my best state of health. I just have to make sure they are never in the same parking lot or there will be a cat fight!

I’m 5 months out and I can still barley get in 3-4 ounces depending on the type of protein And I misssssss sandwiches 🥪. I can have about a quarter of a sandwich or half a slice of bread with an ounce of meat

Yah that is normal. Everyone's restriction is different at different times in their journey. Also every tolerates different foods. At one point in my journey I could tolerate bread just fine. Now I typically don't eat it because in like two bites I get overly full and uncomfortable. It is weird. It does get better though.

My surgery is 5/1. And although I won't be using milk for a while after surgery I would like to know where you get the fairlife from? Thanks in advance!

Why don't you use a blender or ninja to mix your coffee protein vs a wisk? I find the ninja blends my protein powder and liquid better. Thanks for your food tips.

@@seekingminimevsg2111glad to hear that these videos depress me, I had mine 10 days ago and I feel I will feel the same way about it ten years from now. Sure I may get to live longer but what fun is that having to watch everything or if you screw up you pay for it way more than if we just had our regular stomachs. As well as I feel doctor shouldn’t do this on anyone under 400 lbs man or woman.
