Hello my beautiful marshies, this is a long over due update and festive what I eat in a day after loosing 113 pounds with the help of a gastric bypass! Now I will say most days we don't treat ourselves to pastries or bread too often (I can get late dumping syndrome from it 🙈) But we decided to have a treat for Christmas! Did you enjoy seeing this style of vlog? Would you like to see more updates? It's crazy to think that this time last year I actually decided to take the plunge for surgery! What a life changing experience!
I also had gastric bypass surgery and lost 150 lbs. After 5 years my appetite returned and I've gained 49 lbs. Please be careful with the food and follow your food recommendations. I know holidays are difficult but almost impossible to re-losing the weight as your metabolism will take a dive. Congratulations on your weight loss. You look amazing, but you were always beautiful. Thanks for sharing your journey.
3 years for me (I had the sleeve though) and yes I will agree that my appetite is slowly returning. What keeps me going at times is , sad to say, my negative relationship with food so I'm still hard on myself so I tend to do "better" BUT negativity aside I'm so happy for her weight loss jorney so far as well (:
@mellybear yes I have unhealthy food habits and emotional eating. I think after surgery, it got worse, but I don't regret having surgery. Now to do the "head" work I've should have done with surgery.
holy shit!! 113lbs in 9 months is insane!! You and Dean are looking amazing. It really makes such a difference when you lose a significant amount of weight, not just on looks or clothes, but in every aspect of life. So happy you are feeling so much happier and healthier now!
Aww thank you so much! Your totally right! We’re not at our goal yet but it’s mad how much more comfortably even just simple tasks like sitting and moving is! 😮 xxxxx
@@catherinekayy I really love this journey because I had lost about 40lbs at my heaviest but struggled to lose the additional 20-30lbs to be at my goal weight. And seeing your journey is very motivational! I love the travel and personal videos as well, but happy to see you sprinkle in the health journey stuff as well!
Hi!! I just found your channel today and I'm so grateful I did!!!! I just started my weight loss journey as well (well about the 100th one I've had) but this time I am facing my Binge Eating Disorder head on and have reached out to a psychologist to help. Thank you for his awesome Vlog - it is SO great! Love it! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is actually a surgery I am thinking of having! I'd love to hear more about the surgery and how you feel after, did you have any issues? did you struggle with anything afterwards? How has your body changed due to the weight loss? Do you now have foods you once loved that you can no longer eat? So many questions lol. Thank you for doing this video and Merry Christmas to both of you. P.S you both look amazing
It’s fantastic to see how much your lives have improved with the weight loss. Not only do you get the health benefits, you also look amazing. Keep it up.
I was going to get bariatric surgery in 2010 but I backed up and was already in the process of getting it done I did testing and everything and the classes and was already about to get ready for surgery but something told me to back up mind you I was too younggg that’s why I backed up and I did my research about bariatric surgery, wls, gastric sleeve and gastric bypass for many years now 😊
Congratulations on where you and Dean are so far. Being so conscious and aware of what you eat at a young age is inspirational on so many levels. Keep going. And yes 👍 to these videos.
Thank you so so much 🥹🤍 we’re definately not perfect! But slowly over time I want to build healthier habits and try be more intuitive with our eating! Xxxx
Hey Catherine 🤗 you made such a yummy dinner. You and Dean are doing amazingly well! I echo what you said about Vinted, I only discovered it a few months ago and it is amazing and very dangerous 🙈. Looking forward to hearing more about your weight loss journey. Have an amazing Christmas and New Year! ♥️ xxx
It is absolutely insane how tiny you’ve gotten!! You’re like a whole different person and it’s awesome you thrift as well. Honestly, thrift shops are amazing for so many pieces and with the cost of living now I love that it’s become normalized. But yeah I’ve gotten used to how you look now so if I see comparisons or your old videos it’s like holy cow!!
You look so good! Congratulations! As someone who hasn't had to struggle with weight much, I have found your journey very interesting and enlightening. Thank you so much for sharing it!
Oh wow thank you so much! I can’t imagine the feeling of not struggling with weight! ❤ you don’t realise how much it takes up your mental energy! 😮 you da best! Xxxxx
I am so grateful for you and Dean are doing good. You both look great. Love you and hope you are having a great time with family. Merry Christmas from Alaska. :-)
I really enjoyed the video. I am a doggie lover myself and I was hoping that maybe you might make a line of stickies with your puppers? Your puppers is BEAUTIFUL 🥰btw , I'm new to your channel but I think you are adorable and I enjoy all of your content 😘Keep looking up. Janie
You look great! I weighed 126 kg in June. Now I am on the KETO diet and I follow the principle of 16 hours of fasting a day. I eat within 8 hours. Now I weigh 94 kg. I highly recommend a ketogenic lifestyle. 🙂
Best thing about that is your body literally gets used to it. You will rarely be hungry in the morning, and sometimes nearly 20 hours go by without you even noticing you need to eat. I've trained myself accidentally to do it... I can't eat breakfast because it makes me sluggish and gross feeling, so I go from about 7pm to 11am without eating. occasionally I get hungry a little earlier or eat a little later but I'm just used to it now
@@catherinekayy stalling....1lb up and down for 2 weeks now. But hoping to give it a good kick in the new year. But over all feeling amazing. Best decision ever!!! (btw, you gave me the last push I needed to actually go through with it, so THANK YOU!!!) I am lighter, more active, and generally just so more happier.
One thing that dawned on me while watching this video, was a curiosity on how much your food shop has reduced financially since the two of you had surgery. Do you have a savings goal and a plan of something you wosh to do with the extra money that no longer are spent on food shop? Thank you for sharing ❤ /Scandinavia
Aww Catherine you both look fantastic. Loved the video, thank you. I too like this topic of video. I'm also considering this surgery. I probably drink far too much as it is so I may have to be careful if I got the proceedure Merry Christmas and hope the New year brings even more joy to you and All xxx
Love this video but had to say I was distracted by the gorjus robin tablecloth 😊. Congrats on the amazing transformation!! What an accomplishment ❤. It gives me hope to continue transforming my life into what I want 😊. Merry Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you & your family ❤
@@catherinekayy it was a lot harder mentally at first than I thought but it’s been really good overall and it feels so good to have lost so much weight! Thanks for asking ☺️ and yes, definitely a learning curve!
It is really important that you feel better and healtier and are more confident in all the things you can do now :) loosing weight is not all about looks but its mostly about health and getting rid of extra baggage means that you can do stuff you wouldn't be able to otherwise :) Happy Christmas :)
How are you and your husband finding it! I feel so lucky to be on the same journey as him cause this would of been harder without us both going through it I think!
Amazing well done both of you, I eat too much bread and get what you mean, i would love to lose just 2 stone to start but i guess i am eating all wrong.
Oh wow not long now ❤❤❤❤ how exciting! It’s a weird one because our surgeon never said we had to get rid of caffine and thank goodness I’ve been having it since my surgery! 😂❤
@@catherinekayy I don’t quite understand it, but my dietitian seems to be making caffeine a big deal? 😂🤷🏼♂️ maybe it’s just their personal agenda?! 🤔🤔😂
Hi there from Canada - just stumbled upon your channel. I love your approach to life! Where in Northern Yorkshire are you from? I have family just south of the Humber. I visit there every once in a while. I am going for my bypass surgery in 4 weeks. Excited and scared!!
I wear a 16 comfortably, and sometimes a 14 depending on the shop! (Cant believe it) I used to be a size 22-24uk ~ Yes its very uncomfortable if i eat too much!
This is why some of us are try to tell people that is not healthy nor something to glorify people with overweight, its not that we are trying to make harm or be hateful, people are saying that we shouldnt talk about other persons body but common, the thing is that people just dont want to be told the truth to their faces. Im really happy that you made the desision to get the operation to live your life to the fullest and now are so much more confident. Keep the great work on getting the better version ofrecemos yourself. Much love ❤️
No not at all! Ask away! ❤ yes I have developed loose skin, mainly on my legs! Which suprised me! ❤ I thought the worst place would be my stomach however I haven’t lost all my weight so I might get it there too! ❤
Oh wow didnt think of legs. Youve done really well. So by decreasing portion sizes and diet only u can lose that much? No pounding away in gym treadmill then....im thinking of getting surgery.
I have one goal of 11 stone 7lbs and the second at 10 stone, but I will evaluate when I get to them, and see if I need to loose anymore when I get there!
Oh my gosh my hair loss has actually effected me more than I thought I’ll go into it in a update video! But my acne has cleared up! It’s so much better than before!
It was personal preference, but I preffered the longevity of studies with the Bypass, it had been around much longer, I might do a video on this in the future 🌸
Hi I just done my gastric bypass 17 days ago I need some help about diet what should I eat in this days and only juice and water this this only can I get
How are you getting your protein in? Have you been advised to get a certain number of grams of protein in? I’m 4 months post op from SADI surgery. Im supposed to get between 80-100 grams, and I still struggle to get that in every day! How do you do it? Love what I eat in a day videos!
Cari Cakes admitted in an apology video to stalking another creator named dearseoul whom she cyber bullied and attempted to ruin her reputation online. This is not a person I would support and promote. Not sure if you're aware of this.
I actually don’t feel less hungry! I get hungry like I used to but I get fuller much quicker hunger is also a slightly different sensation! I’ll try answer this in my next update vid! ❤
YES! I’ll go into depth in the next update BUT I’ve had regular literally on the dot periods for the first time in my life 😮 however my hair growth hasn’t slowed down 😂 infact im pretty sure my beard is getting worse 😂
Don’t make excuses for eating the wrong things. It justifies choices while doing the wrong thing. Please be careful. You can easily gain it all back! And then some.
I would like to know your process from start to finish!! As in, how long after you reached out to the clinic for the surgery, did it actually happen? Do you have to meet with a nutritionist for 6 months before you're approved for the surgery? Did you have to do the pre-op diet before flying over?
@@catherinekayy Oh my goodness.. I thought you would reply in the update video but I'm SO HAPPY to see you replied so soon!! Wow!! You don't know how many times I've watched you and your husband's vlogs about the process. Truly, it was so incredibly inspiring! Thank you for documenting it all for us and giving us updates as well as for being so open and generous with the information!! Happy holidays to you and yours!! 🤍
