2 videos in and you're officially my fave foodie/nutritionist RU-vidr. Down to earth, no nonsense, high-maintenance or convoluted recipes.. Your breakfast looked soooo nice! Also I absolutely loved your take on baked potatoes with guac and chickpeas xx
your voice is so nice to hear! you should try ASMR :D However it seems you eat very little food.. you may feel full with that but yeah, im sure most people not haha
Would you say that living in the US for five years influenced your flavor preferences in comparison to friends and family that haven’t spent time in the US? Sorry if it’s a dumb question, but once you started making the guacamole, I started wondering if that’s a normal food in France as it is over here. I love your videos by the way!
That's an interesting question! I would definitely say yes: on occasion I love super sugary/and or fatty foods that are found in the US and things like deep dish pizza that French people hate haha!
You're so gorgeous! You could literally work as a model. How is your English so good? Did you attend school in the US? I've viewed your 'What you eat in 2 days' video and I must say that if I ate what you did I'd gain a lot of weight. I think some people with good functioning livers and pancreas metabolise carbs and sugar way better than other people do. I think some people are genetically blessed. Great content though! ❤️
Great cooking inspiration video for this Francophile! I hope you get some larger knives for food prep in the future. Slicing the sweet potatoes looked très dangereux!
Nice video. Thank you for it. I think you need a chef's knife for your daily cuisine work, watching you struggle with that dull one kind of hurt :D Also if you want I suggest squeezing some lemon juice into the guacamole, it can make a small difference. Stay safe!
Everything looked so yummy! I used to make a version of your dinner but with regular potatoes, black beans in a tomato sauce and only mashed avocado. Very good and very filling! Speaking of potatoes, mashed potatoes in some restaurants where I live are called pomme puree and I get so confused thinking it's apple sauce haha. How do you like to get your dark leafy greens in your meals? I always thought kale had to be eaten in a salad and I never liked it like that but last week I bought a bunch of kale and put in in a smoothie, sautéed for breakfast with eggs, steamed in with pasta and now I like kale!
That sounds so delicious as well! I call mashed potatoes "purée de pommes de terre" so very similar haha I love kale chopped up in little pieces in salads, or cooked in soups or vegetables platters...Awesome that you found ways to enjoy it!
Okay so I know what I'm having for lunch today! I've got a surprise quiet day at home. Going to treat myself to spending time and putting more effort in to cooking for myself! I ate my breakfast while watching this but made extra conscious effort to chew properly 😂 I need to stop inhaling food!
How is that little breakfast enough for you? I have tried it for my breakfast and it can't satisfy me. I had hemp seeds, chia, peanut butter, banana, cherries and maple syrup. Doesn't keep me full at all. I did enjoy it though. I am more of a savory eggs and cheese person though. However, that gets me too full and bloated. How do I find balance?
@@Edukalebylucie I will try that, thank you. I am trying to lose some weight, but I don't want to reduce my calorie intake too much since it always backfires and slows down your metabolism. I also don't want to ignore my hunger cues. It's very tricky, but I have to reduce my weight. Any suggestion is welcomed. 😊
Ah, bulgur. I'm Armenian. We eat bulgur pilaf. Mmmmm. I always add onions and parsley to mine. It's great topped with dolma--grape leaves stuffed with ground beef, rice, and onions or sarma--grape leaves stuffed with onions and rice.
I'm Armenian too and also grew up with bulgur pilaf! We usually add pine nuts and fidelini noodles to ours and top it with homemade yogurt. But your way sounds really good so I'm going to have to try it like that too!
Love this so much, everything looked so wholesome and satisfying 😍 I love how mindful you are with your food and the way you talked through everything was really informative!! I need to try that cashew butter, I've heard amazzing things and this motivated me to check it out :) This is one of the best what I eat in a days that I've seen, just subscribed and I can't wait to see more! I'll def be coming back for more meal inspo. I hope we can support each others channels 💕 Also your eyelashes are amazing lol
Thank you so much for your kind, long comment! Yes I saw in one of your videos that you had almond butter (with dates), in my opinion cashew butter is even better!! Thank you haha and yes I will be checking out your channel!!
Thank you so much that's very kind!! I did a master's degree in biology specialized in nutrition and health, and yes I currently live with my parents and my sister!
Hi, I am new to your channel and I absolutely love your videos! Can't wait to watch all of them! I also have a question. I know many nutritionists say that we should wait 30 min before meal and 30-1h after meal to drink water, so it's not good to drink water while eating. I noticed you drink water with the meal. Don't you think this is bad for your digestion? Will highly appreciate your response!
Thank you so much! There is indeed a myth that says that drinking water during your meal will dilute your stomach enzymes and hinder digestion...But it isn't true. Do what feels best for your body!
Interesting to see appetite diversity between people. I'd probably need double portions of both your lunch and dinner to feel satisfied. Plus maybe a snack somewhere.
Honestly I’m constantly rewatching your “what I eat” videos because I find them so invaluable and calming to ease my anxiety around food. Thank you Lucie. I don’t think you will ever understand how much you have truly helped me (more than anyone else.) I love you so much and I am eternally grateful!
Serious question how do French mamas cook my kids cry so much (2 and a newborn) I want to cook from scratch but I feel like I can bairly boil water for oatmeal. Do they have more community in this aspect than Americans
That's a great idea, in the meantime here's a video I made on protein in general, lots of vegetarian protein there! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cji-wZs1ee8.html
I find it interesting how many of the items you use have english labels. Is that normal in other countries? I'm american so of course it's normal here.
I like ur videos..but wouldn't it be better to not drink water whilst having your food..bcoz it's stated in ayurveda that u shouldn't have water while eating it messes up with ur digestive fire
