I like all your ideas, and it’s so nice to see your ideas for styling patterns that read more modern as vintage. IMO I’d pick the Betty dress for the 50s one as the kitty dress, while lovely, might read very similar to the one you chose for the 40s dress since they both button up the front and nobody will see the top part under your lovely jumper (assuming it’s not too hot). But of course you will pick what works best for you 😊 can’t wait to see how they all turn out.
I totally agree with the floral fabric. Having lived through the 60's in my early teens it would be fabulous above the knee with white 'kinky' boots as we called them ...not knee boots and not ankle boots somewhere between the two.. Your other ideas are fab.
Sound like fun! I just made the caftan pattern. A couple things I will say, the back can be made in one piece as the button is completely unnecessary. The bust however is quite high so even though I fit into the small measurements I made the large so that the bust would fit lower on my chest. I really dislike an empire waist that cuts halfway across the bust. You'll see what I mean when you do the toile. But it's a really cool pattern

Hi, oh you are going to look stunning. I have been going to Goodwood revival for the last 10 years. We go Thursday through and camp in our vintage caravan pulled by our 1962 Ford Thunderbird. We absolutely love it. I normally make my clothes but this year I think most of them are pre loved. It was my 60th birthday this week and my husband has booked for me to have my hair done in Betty’s on the Friday morning 😱😎. Hope I bump into you. Take care.

I agree with you about the 60s one. The floral fabric is more 60s. I was born in the mid 70s and I remember women wearing floral kaftans to the beach even in the early 80s. I also remember them wearing the floral swimming caps very typical from the 70s. I used to be very sad that I didn't have one myself 😂 Looking forward to seeing your makes. I have the Rosery jumper and it's a lovely jumper. I think it's very good how you came up with the colour scheme as you'll get your 3 colours red, blue and white in the outfit 😊
