Eee! I love all of your makes, but also chiming in to say that the Pietra shorts kicked my butt too! After struggling for a while I went back and wrote the pattern piece letter on the right side of each piece, because they are all so ambiguous and rectangley as opposed to most shorts I've sewn. Looking forward to watching more of your vids.

I have also sewing fails really annoying, maybe you can add to the last shorts some yoga band from jersey to elongate them to your natural waistline

Have you tried using a walking foot when you’re matching stripes? It takes away the drag of the feed dogs and makes the top and the bottom fabrics move equally.

Yes! I love my walking foot and use it all the time. Most of my annoyance was in cutting out the sleeves since the stripe was irregular. I might try again with a simpler stripe.

Do you have Cashmerette’s latest book? I’m sure it would help with your fitting issues with the By Hand London dress. You may find the smaller size is the right size but you might need a full bust adjustment and even do some tweaking around the distance between shoulder and bust.

I’ve since made the Tamzin again and found the smaller size with a broad back adjustment is what I needed. I bought Ahead Of the Curve and have read most of it, but haven’t utilised the methods just yet. I’m really excited to make some of the patterns in there!
