I love your finished long ass coat. (Actually all your projects are beautiful on you.) Your fabric combos are right on and you are becoming quite the fun little sewer. Keep it up! I am proud of you. PS> Have you ever tried a one piece pattern? I find them way easier than a free one which you have to manually tape together.

Thank you Jane ❤ Well not yet, even the ones you buy come in PDFs nowadays! So you'll have to print them and cut them out yourself. It's okay though, I find it quite meditative ;)

Congrats on your beautiful makes! I particularly love the green winter coat and the teddy vest. I'm always on the look-out for fabric in the op shops (thrift stores) but I have noticed it’s getting harder and harder to find these now in my local area. I used to feel guilty about not loving all of my makes, but now I try to see it as just part of the process of improving my skills. Previously I never wanted to see the ‘fails’ again, but lately I have been trying to return to these projects (after we have had some space from one another!) to see if I can fix/alter the parts I don’t like, or at least re-use the fabric (which I often still love) for another project. Looking forward to seeing what you create in the northern hemisphere spring 🙂

Thank you so much! Yup I feel you, you have to be really lucky to find something in the thrift stores. Sometimes I don't find anything for weeks! And sometimes I find like 5 amazing fabrics in one go... And same - I used to feel guilty as well about not loving everything I made. I do still feel guilty about owning so many clothes now, because I don't really have time to wear them all! And that's a good one, I really need to return to one of my projects as well. I hope I can muster the courage to do so soon ;) Thank you for watching!

What lovely cosy makes. I am a beginner sewist and would love to make a jacket or coat next winter (if my sewing skills improve enough for that!). I might start with the Nino jacket as it looks like a good beginner jacket pattern.

Thank you! I am a beginner as well so I think you'll be able to sew a coat next winter :) The Nino Jacket is great pattern for beginners and it is also for free, so definitely worth a try!

Love everything you make, all looks great! May I ask where the wool coat pattern is from please?
@angelicavis

Thank you! The pattern is from a Dutch website, so not sure if it is any use to you. But this is it: knipmode.naaipatronen.nl/knipmode-1712-13-jas.html

Hello from Melbourne :) sorry if someone already asked, could you share where the coat pattern is from?

Hi! If you are talking about the green one, it is from Knipmode (a Dutch magazine). However, I was recently looking for it online and couldn't find it anymore. I think they discontinued it, sorry!
