Thank you so much, yes I certainly gravitate towards florals don't I but I think I do need some plains in my wardrobe too so I'm trying to incorporate them into my plans :) x
I like that you use the same pattern several times. You may have new tips each time you make them. Using a pattern more than once proves it’s a winner!
Your June makes are lovely, love your myositis dress. Your cardigan is absolutely beautiful! I have a peacock eyes cardigan that I've been knitting since about 2013!! I'd love to get it finished but if I'm honest I'm doubting I ever will. It's knitted on quite fine wool so it takes ages to grow! Xx
You’ve made some beautiful garments, it’s taken me a long time to find so many likeminded people who share all things hand made. I love knitting and have recently returned to dressmaking and am totally hooked again. Thanks for sharing your makes, I thoroughly enjoy watching and getting to share your makes and chat, thank you x
Thank you so much for watching, I'm pleased to hear that you are enjoying my videos. Yes it's great to find likeminded people with knitting and sewing isn't it x
You've made such a lot of things! I think you've got the Myosotis dress perfectly balanced with the flounced sleeve and the skirt length. It's so pretty. Your Whitmoor cardigan is beautiful, I think the sleeves could be tight because of the yarn you used. The cardigan was designed for yarns with a high percentage of wool and alpaca, which have stretch and 'bounce' which would make the sleeves stretch more. Yarns made with a plant fibre can give you drape, but not the stretch and recovery that animal fibres do. If you plan to use plant fibres to knit the cardigan again, all you need to do is pick up some extra stitches at the underarm and you'll be good to go!
Thank you so much for explaining that it makes a lot of sense put like that! I’m glad you like the Myosotis and my cardigan and thank you for watching 😊 xx
Such beautiful makes Sally! You always choose lovely fabrics that really suit you❤️ Your finished cardigan is amazing and I’m sure you will get lots of compliments when you wear it. I just love the lace design!
Thank you so much I’m pleased you think so! We’ve had such warm weather lately I haven’t needed a cardigan but I’m looking forward to wearing it soon 😊
Morning Sally, you can never over share the Davenport dress, it my all time favourite pattern. Lovely makes again this month, I've had the same issues with feeling pregnant in some of my makes, and have added waist ties to cinch them in a touch. xx
Morning! Thank you for watching I’m glad you’re not bored of the Davenport haha! Yes I think a lot of people feel that particularly with the Indigo it’s good to feel comfortable in this dress I’m glad I changed it. Have a great day x
I love your aesthetics! The colours, the patterns and material of the fabrics, it suits you so well. And your photographie! You have nailed it with the light settings of your videos, so so beautiful. 👏👏👏 If I could wish I would love a video of behind the scenes, what camera you use and how you get this lovely lighting. Appart from that your sewing is gorgeous! For the moment I’m involved in a summer exhibition where I show my arty cushions and I have just finished two cushions made to order in my special ”patchwork” style.
Hi Eva thanks so much I’m really pleased you like it all 😊 I’ll have a think about the behind the scenes, I do list some of my equipment in the video description if that’s helpful? Good luck with your exhibition your cushions sound beautiful 😍
I loved your makes.I don't mind you using a repeat of the same patterns as it shows how to get value from your patterns. You don't make them in the same fabric so it's interesting to see the same pattern in different fabric.Indie patterns are expensive and it's good to see how to pattern hack .
I love the cardigans you knit! They have a Sezane vibe. I tried to make a Rosa cardigan and I could not follow the instructions for love nor money. I might need to go to a knitting class. Sewing instructions are so clear in comparison!!
your myosotis is so pretty i am having to fight hard to resist making more as they are taking over my wardrobe. for winter i modified the pattern to remove the sleeves and line the bodice so i could make a few in a heavier fabric to wear over sweaters.
Oh that sounds like a lovely idea I am amazed at all of the different ways we can change and amend patterns, there's always something new. I can also see how this pattern could be addictive haha x
Hello Sally, beautiful makes as always. I have purchased the Whitmoor Cardigan pattern and the same make of yarn all ready to go, my shade is coral. Thank you for the lifeline info, i had never heard of that, great. Thank you.
Lovely makes Sally You will have to knit that cardigan in lots of colours it’s beautiful Get some pearls to go with I love that look Have a good week xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations Sally on absolutely fabulous makes! I've knitted for years and I've never knitted in the round but your cardigan is stunning. The colour sets off the pattern beautifully. I may have to try that method myself. Love everything ❤
Thank you so much I’m glad you like them! My mum said the same about knitting for years and then these new methods come up. It’s taken me a while to give it a try but it’s great if you really dislike seaming. Thank you for watching xx
About how much fabric did your Davenport top take? Would it work with double gauze? I have some lovely double gauze that I want to make a top with and I really like yours.
I had a metre and a half and got it out of that easily. I think it would work in double gauze, you’d get more structure to the sleeves using it. I’m not the biggest fan of sewing with gauze though so might not be the best person to advise haha x
@@susanaserio4613 oh sorry I think it’s maybe temporarily out of print but it looks as though you can download it as a pdf from the Deer and Doe website x
