Watched this and the overwatch video. I've gone full circle with digital drawing: bamboo tablet in 2012 -> cintiq 13 sometime in middle school (2014?) -> cintiq 16 pro in 2018 -> xencelab tablet medium in 2022 -> mouse in 2024. Just recently switched from using my mouse with right hand to using it with my left hand, and after doing so I tried drawing with the mouse. Now I can't be bothered with setting up my drawing tablet. The only downsides with using a mouse are that you have to manually set the opacity and if you're zoomed out very far, the lines become very jittery (because the program receives the stroke from the cursor position on the screen and not through the tablet and its driver/windows ink. This can be fixed by using weighted lines, but i prefer to have that disabled when zoomed in.
I knew it wasn't just me! I started with big 10" tablets. (Huion H610 and Huion H610 Pro) back in like 2012 and I looooved it! I had a laptop back then so I felt very portable and I would get a lot of art done.. Then I finally upgraded to a Huion Kamvas Pro 13 display tablet back in like 2021, and while I was still getting a good amount of art done, I still found myself trying to find ways to draw portably.. I started to slow down my drawing.. I couldn't stand being at my desk all day and just wanted to lay down and draw like the good old days.... I was looking really hard for decent android laptops that had a visible cursor on the screen to draw, but found nothing.. I've tried drawing on phones/tablets that do no have that and I could never get my lines to... align with eachother. And just recently I found the Samsung Galaxy 9 FE+ and I LOVE IT! T_T My boyfriend is helping me pay it off.. The portability alone is WORTH IT! I can even work on giant canvases with little to no lag. QwQ I'm drawing a lot more now than I was for a while.. Great video! QwQ I love how your Hatsune turned out! ^w^ And I am happy to see I wasn't alone on this! QwQ I still use my display for streams and animation when I can, but I am mostly on my android tablet now.. xD
