What I Would Want For PvZ GW3 

one of the best thing in gw2 was the little easter eggs with the gnome ,with the keys that just maked the non online mode way cooler

If they eventually make a gw3 I'd personally want the bfn classes added with their own variants and more variants for the existing classes.

This franchise deserves better. I fell in love with the shooters and they deeply inspired me. If only EA wasn't the outrageously incompetent and ridiculed company it has been for countless years, the GW series could've thrived for longer than 6 measly years. I miss the PvZ Shooters so much, man.

I think our only hope is a new studio picks up the PvZ license with a lot of passion for the series to make a new shooter. Maybe Epic Games?

in addition to what you said, I would want them to keep the gw2 leveling system. I never bothered to get everyone to gm5 in bfn just because it felt like such a long grind that gains nothing at each milestone, but in gw2 I liked the idea of mastering every character in the game no matter how bad it was

It'd be cool to see more plant cameos from the other plants vs zombies games. e.g. iceberg lettuce could be an alternate ability for the potato mine or the primal pea as a new variant of the peashooter or maybe even red stinger as some sort of primarily ranged ai spawnable

I hope PvZ will have a good future. There are lot of fan ideas for the shooter games.

An actual GW3 would absolutely save the franchise but they don’t have anyone to make unfortunately it’s sad that corporations can’t learn human lessons despite them being made up of people they took the risk with BFN and while many people did enjoy the game myself included the game overall failed if they had kept it together and went back to the drawing board and listened to the fans tans the franchise could very well have kept thriving to this day

I think the GW3 campaign should be like SWBF2's campaign with cutscenes and should have a tutorial like style

i feel like the reason pvz gw2 was so good was because of the replay value it had. me personally i find myself coming back to it every few days because i enjoy the game so much. i can't really say the same for pvz bfn tho. it lost all the garden warfare charm and i guess why it kinda flopped.

i feel like something that would be an intresting replacement for the sprint meter would be a deticated movement ability slot

i loved pvz ever since I was a little kid. this franchise made my childhood, all the memories I have playing gw 1 and 2 it’s incredible. i hated it when bfn was such a downgrade and eventually stopped updating the game after not even a year of launch so i don’t think they will make another shooter any soon. But if they someday ever would it’ll be awesome and would definitely shed a tear if they would make a 4th shooter.

When/If GW3 happens, I want a full story on the past of Dave and Zomboss, the past of the gnomes, and the timeline of the war between plants and zombies.

I think that if any company listened to their customers would be a good thing for profit (since having wanted features would entice you to play) and should also be a standard for gaming companies. Not many people wanted a spin off and nobody liked the removal of variants I. BFN (it just seemed like the worst direction to go for in a spin off, since it removed a unique feature, instead of adding one), which is mostly why it failed. I haven’t seen many games suggest ideas for updates, apart from smaller games like Forager, but that game turned out amazing in my opinion.

Re-add boss mode to multiplayer and allow you to summon waves of zombies (or weeds if on plants) and have variants of boss mode and upgrades (credit: bluemrgutsy and I)

I would say get an anti cheat combine have varients and stuff like gw2 but more of the technical and ui stuff from bfn and have b-hopping back in the game Having both games combined could make a really good sequel to gw2

BFN had a great storymode and some cool ideas, but i think garden warfare 2 was just better with things like night time city maps looking amazing, character variants, art style and ofcourse sticker packs

Variant Idea for nightcap; a charge variant that instead of doing more damage throws more shuricans at once

I think a campaign like splatoon would be good, somethings been stolen go to different areas to find it by doing unique levels and cool bosses The problem with the old campaigns was that it was only the set maps.

I Currently started playing with the Camo Soldier (Foot Soldier) and its very fun, but i hope they make GW3 one day and make it as when you aim with it it will look like your aiming trough a sniper

Unlocking Disco Chomper was the happiest moment of my life.

Story mode / campaign should be the scrapped game , you play as a human . You have plants to help you on the way to defeat the zombies ! Chomper is melee , peashooter for longer combat , cactus for very long range and sunflower to heal and to light up your way! You potentially play as younger Dave , idk . It would make sense as they would be the agents when they were younger! Still in their pots , and dave as a teen , liken show in the keeled gameplay! Moving onto non campaign , the shop should be like battle for neighbourville , and there should be a refresh button u can use once a day to change what you can buy in the shop. There should be much more skins and accessories . If there’s a gym all machine make it like 10k to have a go. Maybe bring back vending machine packs too . Also cheaper . I think they should also add an option to change what colour your plant is. Like imagine a blue peashooter😅 that would look cool!! New characters for plants and zombies! LOADS! even bring back torch wood and the surfing got 3000 or whatever it’s called 😂 add the scrapped characters! And even do fanmade character vote . So people have a chance to add what they want into the game! Mostly for pvp what you have said. Maybe some more abilities and stuff like that😅 more challenge like challenges , like pvz 2 with the plant pots and robot turrets. (Smth I wanna mention is make the weed a playable character!) no joke, if a garden wf3 comes out, and if it does the same as gw1-gw2 like adding more classes, varients, game modes and a better campaign id definitley pay a triple A game price. to be honest if bfn just had the UI and graphics the same as gw2 and varients it would feel like a new game.

I know this is pretty late in, but if you're ever interested, I've been working on modding GW3 in GW2. It's still a bit early in and a bit limited in what can be done, but it might be something to interest you a little. Especially since you mentioned wanting balance out of GW3. :)

I have a whole list of changes and ideas for balance changes in GW3 if it ever to come out. As well as a couple of character ideas. I wish I could get into modding.

I think the chances of a GW3 are unlikely, but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. I say this because I looked at the EA hiring webpage a few months ago and there were hordes of job openings of various positions for making a “Star Wars Multiplayer Shooter”, which very much sounds like a Battlefront 3. And if a series that was considered dead for the same reason as GW (all of the original development team had left DICE), and if this hypothetical Battlefront 3 was a success, maybe EA would consider pulling the same hat trick twice with another shooter franchise.

Quick variant ideas for bfn variants: Flamin’ Slide: fire dmg and the tornado leaves a DoT trail? Thunder Slide: like pops corn (pretty sure it’s pops corn) slower RoF for better Range, Bloom and recoil management and damage. Lightning slide: further cactus 2.0 VolcanoDragon: (w.i.p. name) shoots projectiles that terraform the ground intro spewing a small pool of lava for AoE/crowd control. CrackleDragon: Chargers up a massive bolt of lighting. The ads projectile is like an airstrike beacon but only one bolt of lightning and has the splash of like a bed. (The size of a bed) AstroCadet: Primary is now similar to GW2 Citron beam. CosmoCadet: Primary is more like deadbeards hipfire but the longer you charge it, the more accurate it gets. So stage 2 charge has the same damage but better accuracy but is therefore harder to hit. Similar to 80s action hero. 90sActionHero: Charge up a bundle of arrows that all deal the same damage per charge but can “lock on” to different or multiple targets. Charge one: 1 Charge two: 3 Charge three: 5 One lock is one arrow, each lock takes a quarter second per. Arrows deal around 18 damage per. The first lock is instant, aka the second you Mr crosshairs go over that target. 70s Action Hero: Your primary only has one arrow but the longer you charge equals the more damage it does. The arrow can hit up to 3 people. Daycap: increased movement speed and a triple jump. Both abilities that make Nightcap or ally’s go invisible heal them instead but have the same effect on zombies. Dawncap: When Nightcap uses her dodge an 25 damage explosion is triggered at the end and she temporarily has fire DoT for her primary. Her invis bubble has a similar effect but reduced duration of the DoT buff. Coco&Palm: Coco now has a slower RoF with increased damage and every 10th hit slows targets down by 15%. Palm: The log bounces and can now jump over shorter characters like imp, soldier, scientist etc. Deadbeard and all star take damage. Apple&Honeycrisp: Apple: Primary shoots apple slices as a shotgun like spread and damage. The dodge now has a citron like roll but with little turning maneuverability. Honeycrisp: the log now shoots, laterally, like a spyglass. If it hits something, it’s fragments can deal damage as “splash”. The sap is no longer like c4 and now acts as a DoT slow down area denial.

If there ever was a GW3 they need to add everthing from both games like maps, customization,etc and BFN classes and Chester chomper, dr. Chester, berry shooter, and citrus cactus and their abilities and new stuff obviously

GW3 ideas: infi-nut (cactus’s version of future dummy), coconut cannon (a plant version of deadbeard’s cannon, maybe a new class could use it), bring back all pots from gw1+2, boss mode and maps, make any character playable on old maps, make party characters and at least one legendary for every class.

Some of these ideas are things I've also thought about for GW3, The rest were things with which I completely agree! Like, I haven't thought about how great it would be to have a ranking system, I think PvZ Heroes can be used as a reference. It's really good that there are videos of this type, not only for the community but also for PopCap employees to consider as feedback in future games. I just hope that if there is a GW3 in the future... it won't be abandoned like BFN 😭

My ideas are 1: all maps returning, the ones from 1 and 2 return, this so could be really fun 2: if acorn was gonna return, I would make its oak form work like the imps mech, as the zombie side is really powerful due to said mech, I would also make the acorn variants various nuts, like pine cones, peanuts, walnuts, etc. 3: A meter that prevents teams from legendary spam, this could help balance out get-off-my-lawnathons, 4: Electric slide and snap dragon would need reworks if they were gonna be added, 5: All the bosses returning, same with the minions. 6: if there was gonna be a story mode, there should be decent rewards, 7: The missions in story mode should have some effect on the backyard battleground in some way 8:Variants should be immune to their own element, 9: boss hunts should return, 10: There is no tenth idea.

i think a ranked mode addition would be good because it would let people that want to try try and take them out of casual and knowing popcap browncoat would be the highest rank

To be honest I would like a story mode that isn"t too long and is a single goal unlike GW2, for example Splatoon 3 had a great one, there are multiple stages but the story mode can be completed in 3-4 hours. Which is great beacuse a shooter is multiplayer based. Having multiple GW2-esque quests in a BFN setting would be amazing.

I’m pretty sure there was something about too many variants so that’s why they removed them because they couldn’t add any new ones but idk that’s only what I remember but if that were the case I would say for a new shooter they would just have to remove some variants in place for new ones like maybe only add the fan favorite variants and then add new ones for the old classes and the new classes 🤷‍♂️

I don't think I would entirely like it if gw3 kept the sillines from gw2 and bfn, I love gw2 to death and enjoyed some of the bfn classes, but even since gw2 it felt so disconnected from gw1 for the sole reason that gw2 is just a silly, cartoony shooter when gw1 was to me a silly way to approach a "" serious"" shooter, that's why it had realistic sentient plants, with a war undertone and grounded environments, while gw2 went too far with the surreal aspects and just has magic plants and futuristic landscapes

I think the old maps and all should be added plus all bfn and gw2 characters also I think the sticker packs should return but to me the gw2 monotization is the best also I can of feel like some of the classes variants should have a special variant exclusive ability as I think it’s a good way to make each one more unique also the old character upgrades with some more bfn like abilities also sprinting is a nice addition and I mean for abilities Ice pea can have an ice chili grab bomb and maybe they are usable on other variants just unlocked with one

Honestly all I want is for ops mode to have some new gimmicks. Keep the 5 rounds to win from bfn but have evac again. Bring back variants for ops mode at least but add in the perk system too. Could add a new boss with a gimmick where they change you into a different character randomly at certain intervals of the battle. Like not just the final round but have it be a special boss that randomly appears round 1 and taunts the player everytime it switches them until the boss wave lol

İ really enjoy bfn and gw 2 and it would be amazing if they somehow mixed all good stuff in the next game Bfn already was kind of refresh version of garden warfare but sadly it kinda cutted and simplyfied the game to make clean classes And it would be cool to have more characters with abilites on them but new stuff, upgrades and characters were adding too slow and they couldnt add content that they were planning to add

All I want for GW3 is more classes and variants, a good and deep campaign/story, and most importantly good game balancing, because even though pvz gw2 was one of the best games I have ever played it was also a balancing disaster due to OP ,Cheap and braindead characters that Popcap blatantly refuse to nerf.

New ability variant ideas -Primal potato can make a strong bigger explosion but only can be used twice -Stealth potato covers himself with leaves to blends in the environment same damage as the reg potato mine Mega gatling pea can has the fastest firerate and perfect accuracy Spike rock he can stun zombies and deal a lot of damage when they step on him same as spike weed but can be placed two Goo bean(for pea shooter variant) he can make a sticky that does no damage it can only disabled abilities

I agree with all characters getting new variants EXCEPT the swarm characters because their whole gimmick is them all being the same and basically being the whole little army AND they should’ve added more like the hypno shroom from pvzgw2 and some sort of zombie based off a pvz 2 zombie

There will for sure be a new pvz shooter, this franchise just makes way too much money and whether is gonna be good or not, its happening
