Fun fact: (I)stan is a suffix that is given to countries with their culture/population in front of it. Istan means place of aka province in Persian and these names where given by Persia to most of it provinces and now that they're independent some decided to keep the name. There are also a lot of provinces left in Iran with Istan, i.e. Kurdistan, Lorestan, etc.

There are so many countries ending with stan in Turkish: Stannations in the Video Hindistan (India) Moğolistan (Mongolia) Sırbistan ( Serbia) Hırvatistan (Croatia) Macaristan (Hungary) Yünanistan(Greece) Ermenistan(Armenia) Many not independent States (In China,Russia) Bulgaristan(Bulgaria) Suudi Arabistan(Saudi Arabia) Gürcistan(Georgia) I don't know more countries with Stan in turkish.
