Also Chinese division stopped by anything during their war is largely propaganda. as Russia in 1860, i had to send all my army to China's borders to attack, occupy all of china until they have Reactionaries revolt. i mean as Russia, i managed to get to acceptable healthcare before 1850. with 200 brigades available.

i tried playing the chinese once in vanilla victoria 2, i westernised by about 1900's and made 20K a day until 3 boxer rebellions events which raised 500K rebels in a row all over my country sent it crashing to a uncontrollable and bullshit feeling death.

@@desertdesmond6736 yep, it really sucks that pdx designed the game so badly that they had to literally gimp a nation to make it function right (they should have just disabled china from being playable, people try playing it without realizing its hardcoded to die no matter what, its not like EU4 burgundy where being a player prevented the death of the duke event, china in Vic 2 dies no matter what) ... that said, there are mods that make china playable, but those mods also rebalance a lot of the economy stuff so that china being western doesnt crash the simulation.... pdx should have just done those rebalances from the start tbh

@@XiaoYueMao burgundy doesn't disable the ruler death event? It might have in the past I wouldn't know that but the ruler fires just the same and just like the AI you have to deal with the Burgundian succession event chain. The AI is just coded to pick certain options more than others

@@goranpersson7726 it did before the burgundy event became an imperial crisis, the event never fired back when it was a one time event that instant split the entire nation between france and someone else (usually the emperor) ... now that its an imperial crisis with an entire chain involved it can fire as a player, but the player also has an option to not be partitioned or PU'd if they wish

That's only HPM and related mods not vanilla though. In Vanilla, China is EXTREMELY overpowered. You can westernize in like 10-15 years through swarming Vietnam, Japan and Korea with your unlimited peasant army and farming research points from them. Then you trounce everyone for the rest of the game because there isn't a warlord event to divide you and you have practically an unlimited amount of Soldier and Craftsmen POPs to skyrocket your military and industry.

@@RK-cj4oc Over time in the game, like 80% of all wealth is hoarded into the treasuries of all nations and there is no money given to POPs or factories or anything. No money to the POPs, they can’t buy goods, no goods sold mean factories lose money, and that generally means economic collapse that feeds into itself. Most mods have something that brings money out from AI treasuries to the economy so there’s not a Great Depression in the last 30 years.

@@sicknastydabdab2711 the healthcare system we have in the U.K. began in its current form with the NHS in 1947. The Poor Law hospitals were available mostly for the poorest. However, until the NHS, voluntary and community hospitals actually provided decent coverage for most people, while the middle-class paid. The NHS was not founded because people couldn’t get access necessarily, though often the dependents of working class people found it a bit tricky in areas of poverty, but to equalise and make free all access.
