giorno has the will to do good but i think you greatly underestimate how much being raised by a zealot like pucci would effect how giorno conceptualizes goodness itself. you'd need to think about the conflict between what he knew was right and what he felt was right. his will to do good might also not be quite as strong since that was largely founded on his harsh upbringing.

Giorno grew up in catholic Italy. Every warped idea Pucci has about goodness in society has already tried and failed to stick to Giorno through the lens of religion. I think it's fair to say, since Pucci has such an intense emotional relationship with his self-percieved "duties" to Dio, that his relationship with Dio's son would be abusive. This son, that happened as a result of one of hundreds, if not thousands, of one night stands that Dio had while touring the globe? Pucci wouldn't see him as special, in fact Giorno would probably spend his childhood abandoned much like his brothers were until they all received stands.

Pucci would not raise him, and if he did it wouldn't lead to a good relationship between them. Thus Giorno would have developed his moral compass largely on his own, through fated encounters and luck.

A small bit: Without Giorno in play... more than a few things would be different. -No Giorno = Polpo won't be dead. - -Thus, Bruno won't become a Capo, so it's not even certain that they'd be picked for the mission. -And that's not even getting La Squadra fight, because good lord, everyone's getting massacre'd. - -First and foremost, MitM fight; There's nobody to spread or cure the virus. - -Then there's the freaking baby. If Giorno isn't there to make a snake to poison the stand user, everyone will continue to get attacked by the damn babies. - -If anyone survives beyond that, then we've got White Album to figure out, 'cause Giorno was absolutely crucial there.

Remember that if Giorno didn't kill Polpo, the order to escort Trish would have been given to him as he was the Capo above Bruno. Bruno's team may have participated but it's unlikely they would have fought as many La Squadra members as they did since Polpo likely had other teams working under him who would have helped as well. And delivering Trish to Diavolo probably would not have been Bruno's responsibility.

I can imagine Pucci getting PISSED that he's not the sole protogé of Dio. That being said, Giorno would never be a model child for Dio. Lack of a villainous ego, power centered around nature, etc. Man was built to be an anti-hero under this plot.

And before yall talk about "oh but if Dio raised him he'd be a villain", no. Dio had a shit father, worst of the worst. Dio even being present in Giorno's life makes the situation far better. And since every characters destiny is fated in this series, their personalities are immutable. Giorno would have always had that sense of justice. Maybe he'd go along with their plans for a while, but the second he realizes he's a JoJo, I bet he'd still find Polnareff.

I think he would still try and raise Giorno once Dio died. He wanted to make sure all of Dios kids, even the incompetent ones, had a place in Puccis heaven. He could’ve ignored all 3 if he really wanted to,

He wouldn’t ever get G.E.R from a story stand point polnareff wouldn’t have a bit of trust in Giorno and Jotaro would’ve went himself to Italy seeing Giorno as a threat to the Joestar family meaning either Jotaro would get Star platinum requiem and another thing Giorno wouldn’t even be near a requiem arrow it would really just just be golden experience for Giorno meaning they’ll probably lose since Jotaro would actually get the arrow like intended

I still think Pucci would obtain heaven because the children of DIO are supposed to be destined by gravity to help him obtain heaven. The interesting part, imo, would be after he obtains heaven and Giorno sees what Pucci actually wants. The whole squad might not die in that scenario.

Id Imagine Giorno would replace Johngali A. Since Giornos stand is more powerful than Johngali A, the outcome is still the same. However, Giorno isn’t killed because Pucci actually trusts Giorno. Giorno opts to keep watching Jolyne unlike Pucci who couldn’t care anymore. About half way through Stone Ocean he realizes something is off (i think he should definitely see the foo fighters fight) and confronts Jolyne. Idk what happens from there.

If you think about it, diavolo only would attain requiem if Giorno sparked the events of part 5. Polpo was the one who originally had the arrow in the beginning and only polneref knew what it could do. So polpo being alive means the arrow wouldn’t see the light of day and polneref wouldn’t trust anyone in the main gang because they wouldn’t have rebelled without Giorno’s influence

Without Giorno, the part 5 gang never even meets trish, cause they only met her because Bruno took over Pulpos territory after Giorno kills him, no Giorno and Pulpo doesn't die and he takes care of trish, then he sends one of his guys (maybe bruno but we don't know) to deliver her to Diavolo, she dies and Bruno and the main group remain where they were at the start of part 5

I really forgot how woven into fate the Joestars are but this has me wondering. If Pucci was able to convince Giorno by the power of what ifery, he might allow Giorno to achieve the heaven plan first being a link to DIO and all. (Pucci wouldnt dare feel superior to DIO or his true heir if he could help it) so if all the stuff played out, but with Giorno in Puccis position, what would Golden Experience Over Heaven be like? And what busted ability would it hold?

If thats the case he'd have no issue with Donatello obtaining heaven,(or use any of his son's in such a manner) which being real Nobody sees that happening. Pucci and DIO were seen as equals not some sort of vanilla ice situation Thus having DIO's motive in eyes of heaven being more than a universe reset GE:OH as with most likely any OH stand would just be reality overwrite requiem is close enough to that anyways

If that was the case then he would have been fine with Donatello executing the Heaven Plan but he did have a problem with it and in the end he uses Whitesnake to make Donatello look like him with the intention of having Jolyne and Anasui attack him. Donatello being the son of DIO didn't matter in the end, he was a pawn and one of many children that DIO had. Donatello also behaved in a way that you could tell that Pucci hated (which is funny to me because he displayed a lot of traits that Dio had, specifically in Phantom Blood). That said Pucci would have had more respect for Giorno if he was the Giorno from Golden Wind but even then the whole Heaven Plan in Stone Ocean really stopped being about DIO and was more about what Pucci wanted and how he was driven by his trauma after what happened with Perla and Weather. It's why Pucci wanted people to know their fate and make peace with it. I highly doubt that was DIO's intention for the Heaven plan. I think for Dio it was more about controlling his fate in general and being the one who dictated what happened to himself and everyone else.

I think they would still try to kill Dio. Kakoyin and Polnareff (though they wouldn’t save him if they never went to Egypt) were mind controlled by Dio so there going to want him dead Advol also survived an attack against Dio so he would want him dead. Infact thats what made him and Joesph such good allies. Holy was just the most the recent line of Family members Joesph remembers that were hurt by Dio. Keep in mind he was raised by Erina and Speedwagon and his dad was killed by one of Dios minions. He probably always wanted the chance of killing Dio and given how well he knew Erina and Speedwagon he would be disgusted at the idea that his grandfathers soul wouldn’t be at peace (regardless of rather or not it was true). Jotaro would still hate Dio after seeing what he did to Kakoyin. Yeah he probably wouldn’t care to much about Jonathan and his family but he would still be pissed off about his mom even dio freed her. Jotaro would see how Evil Dio is and i think he would want him dead either way. If Dio came to Japan they would just kill Dio in Japan.

I think even after defecting from Pucci, Giorno would still go back, if Pucci said "That's the man who killed your father." That would be likely enough of a hit to his pride, the reason for the pain of his childhood, to likely blind him in rage similar to Jotaro or Josuke. This would likely be enough for Pucci to make Made in Heaven, but whether Pucci goes to pick him up, and whether Giorno would continue with him to see Dio is up in the air. A scenario I'd like to see is: What if Dio's Blood turned Joseph into a vampire. There's 3 ways I could see this: 1. Joseph revives with fangs, or ends up possessed by Dio, then what. 2. Joseph pulls a Straits, and ends up de-aging effectively, likely being between his part 2 and 3 designs during part 4. 3. Joseph ends up aging as usual, until he ends up dying in retirement with the Speedwagon Foundation. His last request is for someone to break his neck upon his death, causing a Vanilla Ice situation, where he revives, pulls a "I was possessed by Dio all along" or "The next thing you'll say is..." prank on the foundation members. Situations 1 and 2 would allow him to be present in Part 6, with potential for him to throw off Pucci wih the "Possessed by Dio" thing. The third could as well, but that depends on when you think he'd end up dying.

You also forgot the fact that jotaro will explain the entire thing since we all know that jotaro knew about alot of things, since stone ocean happened after golden wind its almost highly likely jotaro went to Italy to look for his bestro frendo to only find out about divolo and bla bla bla, not to mention it doesn't matter if he did beat divolo or not since now he has access to the requiem arrow most likely from his besto frendo, but also the fact that the speedwagon foundation might find out the fact that pucci was in Italy getting giorno, which gives him more then one reason to go to where his daughter at since pucci and giorno is there and jolyne is in jail about to get killed, its most likely tye fact that jotaro will tell jolyne about their entire bloodline including giorno, making her want to talk to him first, making this like, oh well, heres some things I found out from my dad that you, giorno is part of my family, and let's not forget that koichi didn't go to Italy to find giorno, but instead followed jotaro the entire way after high-school y'know? This story goes way way deeper then it possiblely can

I feel like without giorno, brunos gang doesn't do anything. You could easily just put part 5 after all this where giorno goes to Italy and discovers the corruption and seeks to eliminate it thus leading him to bruno
