That was the most creative way i've seen an enemy being defeated in Dragon Ball, it wasn't an energy blast struggle or a really flashy punch, Goku and Trunks were much weaker than Cold, so they outsmarted him rather than outpowering him. I admit i'm sort of curious about how this would affect the Resurrection F arc and the tournament of power, with Frieza's new mentality he wouldn't have been so careless would he? But I think it's a good note to end on.

Little late, but I dont think Zamasu would choose Broly. The reason he chose Goku was because he was messing with the "power of the gods". Granted, many people go with Gohan or Goten, neither of which have and form of SSJG, so I suppose it'd be possible. Unrealistic, but possible 😅

If the story realigns itself, how will it affect the resurrection f saga? Now that frieza knows how effective training is and gaining new transformations, will he try to get the energy drain in his golden form taken care of before fighting the saiyans or not?

You could do a sequal what-if that flashes forward and see how the events of this what-if effect the Resurrection F Arc of Super and possibly thereafter. You know, how an already stronger and a little more mature Frieza might act in that situation.

Here’s an idea for a ‘what if’ that I don’t think you’ve done yet. What if Roshi trained with Kami to prepare for the Saiyans? Roshi didn’t participate in the battle against Vegeta and Nappa because he would’ve just gotten in their way because he was too weak, but if he had a power level of about a thousand like the rest of the Z-Fighters, with all his experience and techniques, he could’ve really helped. His participation could’ve affected the entire DBZ story.

Frieza's character development in this story actually gave his return more depth. This feels much better than the brief mock return that actually happened. It made Goku and Trunks better heroes for it.

@@silver7215 part 3 literally ends with Vegeta becoming ssj2 before anyone else. You could easily keep it going by saying that he keeps attaining further forms before other people. A what-if Vegeta's pride was never put in check? is an interesting scenario.

@@silver7215 Keep in mind that at the end of the last part, Goku was revived. So he hasn't learned SSj2 or SSj3. Vegeta is still stronger. Also when the Buu saga comes around, there may not even be a Majin Vegeta.

Wouldn't Freiza be stronger by the time of his resurrection in Super? He'd also be more serious with his training. Likely getting a handle on his golden form and even combining it with his altered form. Making him a much more serious foe for the Z-Fighters when he attacks them in super. I think this series deserves one more part, a bonus part, to explore the effect this would have.

I dunno, Masako, what about the Super arcs and movies concerning Frieza? I feel it would be a different outcome, unless he can’t use his 5th form in conjunction with Golden, but that only makes sense in a way that it makes no sense at all. BUT MASAKO!!! How could Goku teleport to a random location if he needs someone to be there in the first place? His teleportation only works concentrating in someone's ki, if there's no one, he just can't go there. Also, congratulations on your wedding!

Um. You could still fast forward to Resurrection F and talk about how Freeza knowing the 5th form (and knowing about stamina regulation) and applying the golden form to it affects that arc. Maybe add a King Cold resurrection as well like you did in the Nappa What K If. Then again, at that point the entire Earth might be boned anyway.
