I imagine Vegeta and Nappa would never actually come to Earth if they didn't know the dragon balls were there. They certainly wouldn't show up to avenge Raditz.

"If Goku Married Bulma" is the new "If Raditz Turned Good". When the latter finally concludes, this one will still be going. Not a bad thing, in my eyes.

"Raditz is the most powerful being they've ever encountered." It's such a funny statement, because even though it's true, they meet someone a year later whose power is beyond Raditz's by a factor of literally 15. He's just outclassed so *immediately* .

...Masako, for the next part, you are going to have to remember this is a different Yamcha, a more responsible Yamcha because he is married to, and probably had a child with Chichi, and he now is less likely to be jumped by a saibaman, but almost exactly as powerful as before, yet more conscious of his strength (if you don't take Yamcha's improvement into account, they'd all be long dead when Gohan and Goku arrive, and maybe the earth too)...

So a more confident Gohan results in him not getting kidnapped just as easily and Goku doesn’t get killed off. Bulma marrying Goku is becoming a better of two choices all the time. ^_^

I always thought that goku helps bulma on her research. Remember the filler episode in Super, when Bulma ask goku to get that mineral for the time machine experiment.

As a hardcore Raditz fan, the fact that Masako refers to it as “the Raditz Saga” makes me so happy

Here is a basic yet profound What If to explore Masako: What if Chi-Chi, rather than remain idle while Goku is Dead and Gohan Kidnapped between the Raditz and Vegeta fights, went to the lookout and trained with the Z-Fighters to better protect her son? I suspect the idea of Chi-Chi as active combatant would have small but interesting ripple effects on the entire timeline.

All these what-ifs are so well fleshed out and thought through. I'd love to see these as manga. I wonder how this scenario would play out if Raditz turned to the good side as well. A what-if cross-over!

Here's a what if. What if Chi-Chi was a Z Fighter? She could have trained with Krillin, Yamcha and Tien to fight the Saiyans and went to Namek with Bulma, Krillin and Gohan to find the Dragon Balls.

What if Gine (goku's mom) escaped Planet Vegeta with Goku in a ship and crashed on earth?

I'm not sure if King Kai would have been willing to teach Gohan the Kaio-Ken. Gohan's body is far to young and frail to use it and Gohan's main well of power comes from his rage boost, something that you can't really have while using the Kaio-Ken. Yes, Gohan is much stronger on his own now, but I don't know if he's strong enough for the Kaio-Ken.

If I remember correctly, the only reason Goku was able to survive snake way in the original series was due to the fact that he was dead, and didn't need to eat during the 6 months. How would Goku and Gohan be able to make the trip if they were still alive?

That was a good idea. Making Goku live means that Bulma's willingness to let Goku train Gohan actually matters, rather than having Goku always be absent because he's dead or something.

Wouldn't Bulma also make use of Raditz's ship since it wouldn't be destroyed by Gohan in this scenario?

Also do you think this Gohan has higher IQ than the original Gohan?

I'm really liking this so far. There's a lot of changes that make a good deal of sense, my favorite being that Gohans rage bursts now come from "selfish reasons", a trait that would DEFINITELY come from his mother.

I love these what if so I added another variable to your what if Raditz by adding Nappa onto that Here is part 1 and 2 From part 1 of what if Raditz series were up to the point where Goku has thoroughly beaten Nappa. Nappa pleads with Vegeta as he does in the original timeline and as Vegeta does he throws Nappa but instead of blasting him afterwards, he lands in a rock formation destroying it. Vegeta presumes he is dead either way and prepares for his fight with Goku. Skipping the whole song and dance to that fight Vegeta has left and Goku is taken to the hospital by Krillen. Gohan and Piccolo however stay behind because they sense a very strong but very faint power level coming from where they had the Saiyans battle. Surprisingly they find a barely alive Nappa in the ruble of the boulder he was thrown into. Piccolo scared at the aspect of Nappa leaving prepares an attack to kill the Saiyan but Gohan stops him saying he might just be like Raditz and he could be a good ally against Vegeta. Reluctantly Piccolo agrees to this and wisps him off to the only place he knows other than mountains, Kame house. Everyone there understandably is a little mad. Tien the most mad because Nappa is the reason Chiaotzu suicided. Piccolo tells them he could be useful if Vegeta comes back. Everyone like him is reluctant to agree but Tien is pissed. Because they are without Senzu beans, they nurse Nappa back to health From part two of the Raditz series, everything is the same with the exception that Nappa is rather pissed at Bulma for destroying his pod. However, Popo still tells them about Kami ship. Bulma and Popo bring the ship back to Capsule corps. The same group still goes to Namek as in the original part 2 scenario. Nappa also wants to go because he knows that Vegeta will be there and he wants revenge for trying to kill him. Roshi and surprisingly Tien talk him down saying Vegeta might kill him. Despite his overwhelming hatred for the short Saiyan, he is somewhat afraid of him and agrees with both of them. Everything is the same up until Goku gets the Sensu bean. He asks not just Piccolo but also Nappa to join him. Nappa wants to see the training that made Goku strong so he is more than willing to go so is Piccolo and head to Capsule corp. Without hesitation, they take the ship and head for Namek. On their way they train a bit. Because he was healed, Nappa has gotten a power up to almost rival Piccolo. By the time they reach namek Nappa’s power level is 44,000. During the flight, Nappa tells Goku and Piccolo about Frieza. This terrifies Piccolo a bit but it gets Goku excited. Everything is the same before then with everyone else up until the Ginyu’s arrive. Goku gives everyone a Sensu bean. Nappa kills a downed Recoome, Piccolo Jeice and Vegeta Burter.Goku is disgusted by their action but they tell him to shut up. Before Nappa can enact his revenge against Vegeta, they all sense a rather miffed Ginyu. The fight is the same as in Masakox what if, with Yamcha, Krillen and Gohan getting the dragon balls and Vegeta fleeing the battle scenes as well with Nappa in hot pursuit knowing what the prince is probably planning. The duo of Piccolo and Goku are able to handle Ginyu until he uses body change. Everything is the same up towards the Ginyu frog thing. After Nappa thoroughly destroys Vegeta, he returns to Goku where he takes him and Piccolo to Frieza’s ship to heal his wounds and Vegeta’s as well. Nappa doesn’t really care about immortality so he doesn’t interrupt or threaten anyone and the whole Raditz wish goes through. Because Vegeta is in the pod thanks to Nappa, he takes the lead in the Frieza fight. Raditz also helps. Skipping to his final form, Nappa severely wounded and Vegeta is out the pod. When the plan to Zenki boost comes along Dende heals the Nappa, Piccolo and Raditzs readily but reluctantly heals Vegeta. They are able to fight Frieza at borderline three percent. Once he is out the pod Goku thanks Raditz and Nappa for all they have done. The two Saiyans both sense that Goku is far stronger then either of then and even Vegeta.

I'm sorry the Piccolo-Gohan relationship is gone, but I love everything else!

Lets all be honest. Bulma is a much better mother then Chi Chi.

This “What if” story started off with a good start so far. I can’t wait for the next chapter. Maybe Gohan will take on Napa while Goku takes on Vegeta.

Okay. To all saying that there's no Future Trunks and no Android warning now, you're all forgetting that Masako never changes Future Trunks's timeline. Across all his what-ifs, the only video where he changed the timeline of the future was when he explored the idea of Future Gohan surviving his final battle with 17 and 18. So yeah. Future Trunks lives. But he's going to go back in time to find a present where he doesn't exist, his mother is married to his teacher/best friend's father, and his father is either alone or dating Launch (I mean, she's the only significant female left in Dragon Ball by the time Trunks shows up. Unless you thinks Gets will hook up with 18 when she rolls along).

I know a lot of comments have already said it, but combining "What if Goku married Bulma" and "What If Raditz turned Good" would be an amazing AU in the multiverse. Hell, for extra kick I would add "What If Dr Gero and Freeza teamed up!"

I know you only made a very brief (hehe) comment about it, but I doubt Gohan would have a tail. LIke Kid Trunks, I'm sure Bulma would have gotten rid of it to avoid dealing with Giant Monkeys every full. It's also cool to think that maybe Krillin got a few hits in before being smacked away by Radditz in this scenario. Also, no comment about a potential kid between Chichi and Yamcha? ...I guess it's not that important or really has anything to do with the main point of this scenario. Also, can't wait for the Future Trunks bit.

I actually never really liked the pairing Goku x Chichi. Mostly because Chichi is a bit "bitchy".

Well I can see what is happening... I feel like I know where the story is heading... But this is a really blurred story for me, in a good way. Because Vegeta isn't going to end up with Bulma... Chichi might still name her son Goten to spite Goku, Bulma names her second son Trunks because Goku technically named Gohan in this what if. There is a lot to take into account with this particular what-if. I foresee a lot of things missing and a lot of holes to be filled. I am interested in what MasakoX does with this what if still.

I always thought Gohan's rage boosts came from Chi Chi. When she was a kid when she was scared or angry she would get a power boost too.

Still think it'd be neat to see what kind of kid Chi Chi and Yamcha would have together. Also, could be fun to see Gohan use his mother's smarts to utilize Kaioken in a way that suits his limited grasp of the power, think something along the line of Midoriya's full-cowling with One-For-All. He could find a way to use a small burst of it, but make it very effective and on par with most of the "times x" that Goku has done.As for Piccolo, I would think it'd be nice to see Gohan or someone try and reach out to him. Maybe he wouldn't gain the level of kindness he got with the year with Gohan, but whatever little olive branch that could be extended to could at least set him on the path to becoming something like his original counterpart, albeit with a longer-lasting fixation on domination earth compared to canon Piccolo who pretty much dropped that ambition without much fanfare.
