I think you missed an opportunity there. If Goku married Suno and Gohan grew up being influenced by having Eighter and Dr. Frappe around, then Gohan may have gone a different route entirely. He'd still learn martial arts from his father, but then seeing how strong and gentile Eighter is, he may have apprenticed under Dr. Frappe to build more androids to be like Eighter. With his mother's kindness and strong will to do what's right and his father's strong ambition, his androids would have started out helping all the people living there in harsh winters and eventually could've built up Gingle village to be a tech hub that could've started competing with the Briefs, while also providing Goku and Gohan some top notch sparring partners that never tire. It could've also been very interesting to see how the events of Z would have unfolded if Gohan took them on with his android helpers. Gero also may have altered his plans for revenge too. Maybe instead of building 16, 17, and 18, he could've engineered a computer virus to turn Gohan's androids evil and we'd have an arc of Gohan being caught between destroying his creations vs trying to capture and cure them.
And of course 18, 16, and 17 would be made by Gohan but would be stolen by the red ribbon army and enhanced. While Cell would be created to merge with them if they ever went rogue.
Perhaps their son would still be named Gohan, but this Gohan would be a different person. I don't just mean in personality, but in identity. The Gohan we know wouldn't exist.

Suno is popular because she was such a nice girl in DB. Plus she still remembered Goku at the end of Z and gave her energy. 8’Ter was there too so maybe his presence will change the what if too.
It's funny, cause if you expect DB to be more of a typical anime, you can totally feel that Suno was being set up as a potential love interest for Goku - I'd even argue Toei kinda leaned into that vibe a bit. They added a lotta flavor to the original DB series that gave it more "standard" anime vibes. In any case, Goku and Suno definitely hit off well as same-age friends, and I am kinda sad we didn't get to see her and Eighter more often - but they just aren't the kinda characters Toriyama could implement well as permanent supporting characters in the story that DB was.
And he prob forgot bout em cuz Toriyama really doesn't care much (even the average (mayb even a casual) fan cares a lot more than him lol).. and hasn't really cared since like the middle of DBZ unfortunately

I think Suno would be similar to Chi-Chi once Gohan would be born, just less strict and less aggressive. And I don't think she'd like Gohan training with him being 4, but as he got older I don't think he'd be so big on studying and he might not even be a scholar. Maybe a scientist with Dr Frappe being there to influence him?
April Fools what-if idea: What if Arale saves the past instead of Trunks? Senbei and Turbo both invented time machines themselves. What's interesting is Senbei's is actually a perfect time machine that actually makes changes to the past instead of creating new timelines, so Cell would appear significantly later in the timeline, specifically two years after the end of Z. This is also supposing they would've actually popped up at the same time as Trunks. Given the mechanics work differently, they realistically could've popped up anywhere in the timeline, making the idea even crazier. What if she went as far back as Goku landing on earth, and Jaco took her time machine from her when she wasn't paying attention? Infinite possibilities.
Whether or not it alters a single timeline or splits possibilities is dependent on physics, not the time machine quality. So there would still be separate lines, because that's the option Toriyama took, since we do not know how the universe would actually work. The idea of involving Senbei and Turbo though is great. I would also like some kind of Arale turns into a real person with the DragonBalls or something.
I just got back to the episodes with Suno, and seeing the scene in DBZ Kakarot as well as all the fan art and comics, I love the idea of them being together
Wouldn’t Gohan’s hair be red in the Suno story? It seems hybrids keep the mother’s hair, as seen by Trunks and Bulla. We can’t tell where Goten, Gohan, or Pan got their hair from as both parents have black hair, but according to the brief’s hair this checks out.
@@NieroshaiTheSable goten got gokus hair shape. Where Gohan did not. I'd argue that the traits like genetics in reality still apply. Vegeta just pulled the "short" stick on the physical characteristics for his kids. (Pun very much intended.)
@@blamethebrain9282 nah full blooded saiyans have the same hair length and style from birth till death, their hair never changes, but half human/half saiyan hybrids have human hair cuz it can grow longer and they can actually style it. Chi Chi was just weird and made goten look like mini goku
@All Commentary RU-vidrs are Ironically Gay I think it'd probably be an easier fight overall. Cell only absorbed No. 17 (whom I presume you mean, since 19 was defeated before Cell appeared) and No. 18 to gain access to their Infinity Engines, or whatever they were called, to maintain his subsequent forms. Absorbing Goku and Vegeta would at worst render them incapacitated while within Cell at no benefit to his power - though maybe he could drain their energy to temporarily sustain his Nonperfect form - and at best enable them to destroy him from the inside out. But idk, I never watched Dragon Ball.
I think Goku would have loved Suno more, he would have wanted to be at home, and because she would have supported him he wouldn't have to run away and hide to train
I don't really think so, it's saiyan nature to be training, and whilst he might be moreso prone to being able to train, he might still be the same goku, just not as held back, meaning he might be overall stronger whilst in his time at home, but would still go out to train and fight stronger foes
@@Kiro_Valyne I'm looking at Vegeta, he clearly cares about Bulma more then Goku cares for Chi Chi, maybe Goku would have that level of feelings for Suno. Not being nagged all the time would help.
I always had an idea that Suno would make a good match for Android 17, considering her connection with Android 8 and the fact that she lives in a wilderness area that I could see 17 being a park ranger for.

In the Suno X Goku scenario, although I don't imagine him being the best husband, I do think that he would be a better father as Suno wouldn't argue with him on training Gohan. So how I see it, when he's not eating he's training his son. And after Goku's first death, Suno would encourage him to train much more (after he got wished back) and this might make Goku appreciate his wife more.
It’s nice to see how a wife should only obey to her husband’s will but never think of what she wants for her and for her family. Goku was right saying he was selfish to her, and whoever doesn’t see it has very little respect for others feelings.

@@steadfastscout4606 sure Chichi has a bit of an attitude when it comes to her son and family, but as much as I try I can't help but understanding her point of view. To do so, you should try and comprehend what it means to put your own son on the line risking his life, even if it is for the greater good. She doesn't want that, ever. Is it a bit selfish? Probably yes, but she can't help it and I get it. If you notice, after Goku sacrifices himself, she changes a lot, even trains Goten herself, showing that she probably understood she doesn't and will never have an ordinary family, but will still do her best to keep them safe.
Whis made a comment to Goku and Vegeta essentially stating that Goku and Vegeta are at their best when they're training together. So based on that, rather than Goku and Gohan in the HTC or Trunks and Vegeta in the HTC: "What-If Goku trained with Vegeta during the Cell Games?"
he's probably talking about training with someone rather than training solo. That's how goku and especially gohan became stronger than vegeta and trunks.
It could potentially improve the relationship between Goku and Vegeta, though not likely since Vegeta likely likes Goku less than he did Trunks and his relationship with Trunks didn't really change. What will be interesting though is how Gohan and Trunks will interact with each other.
Man, I was honestly hoping for series combinating "What If Suno was a Z-Fighter?" and "What If Goku married Suno?" some December (but not this one since I'm rooting for "What If Launch was a Z-Fighter?") but still, thank you for addressing this.

I don't think I'd agree that an agreeable, supporting and caring wife and mom would result in all that maybe Gohan wouldn't be quite as driven in scholastic like he is with Chichi, but he's still half Sayen, and it would say something about Gokus character too if he chose Suno and what effect she's have on him. Suno might not be able to feed 2 Sayens with ease like Chichi could, so Goku and Gohan would either be hungier all the time and forced to help out more just to make fixing the food manageable, and thus making Goku more attentive himself to his wife's needs.
Goku knows how to hunt (not that that's difficult since he can catch and hold anything). I imagine Suno would be growing a garden for the vegetables and fruits while Goku and Gohan hunt and fish. Also Goku is pretty agreeable himself, so I could see Suno asking him nicely to get things for the family.
You definitely need to do more of these lighting round what ifs in the future for sure.👍 One Timeline: Gohan becomes the MC is neat. I lean more towards Beast Gohan than God Ki while Vegeta does God Route like normal. Roshi rasing Goku: Understanding on why Roshi can't raise Goku, but at least Grandpa Gohan get to live to an old age and get to meet little Gohan. Goku marrying Suno: At least we get to see Eighter been an Uncle to Gohan which is neat.
the Suno what-if would have a huge difference with android 8 closing the narrative gap for piccolo's social rehab xD basically rewrites all of DBZ if the down time between sagas is slightly altered with each oportunity could be a great series if they've picked up fro mthat angle
MasakoX personally I hear the question of "What if there was only one timeline" VERY differently than you... I don't see it as "What if time-travel never existed" but instead, "What if Time Travel in Dragonball worked more like Back-to-the-Future?" With THAT in place... There would be LOTS of changes! ... But that is a story for another What-If lol.
Timetravel does not allow for PARADOXES. . You either get the "branching timelines", or no "effective" timetravel at all. . You could also use some forms of "limited" timetravel just to get information (or acquire objects/people who "mysteriously" dissapeared) from the past by "pulling" them into the future [with the condition that they either stay or get their memories "scrambled" when they return].
@@adolfodef Well this is fiction, so we're going to go with other popular depictions of time-travel via fiction... So in Back to the Future, they DO allow for paradoxes... So yeah, random things could totally happen.
The Suno married story doesn't need to end at the Android saga directly. Bulma could upgrade 8 if he wants to, sure he wouldn't probably be strong as 17, 18 and 16, but he could still be to help at the start, and maybe with the blueprint he could be upgraded to have same strength as 16 maybe.
The couple of Goku and Suno is more appealing to much because I believe of the support he could have and he would not take any chance to get the hell out of his household.

I honestly forgot Suno was a character lol but I would've been interested in a what if about her getting with goku but instead of her being overly agreeable, you and hav can make a full length series on Gine who has the same if not less character than Suno so it is possible oh well guess it's not meant to be.
I think when it comes to Suno, we would also get some more Android 8 interactions and that could lead to other things. OK Gohan may not be using his potential in the same way as the original, but as he would likely be more in tune with academics, there is nothing to say he wouldn't be helpful and powerful in a different way.
Wait a minute, in that One Timeline thing... How would Broly even become a thing? Frieza picks him up after being revived post-TOP, but in this version he never gets picked up for it. Thus he never gets revived, Broly just stays on Vampa with Paragus. Slight hiccup there, but otherwise yeah, that does sound fitting.
Broly & Paragus would be "rescued" by someone working for the "Freeza Forces" (either active or disbanded); this is a fixed point in time. . After many decades of relative "extreme poverty" in Vampa, Paragus would seek a "Patron" that could give him a modicum of the "elite class" luxuries he had back in planet Vegeta. . Since he is already past the "extended youth" living phase of saiyans, he would had to rely on remote_controling Broly. -> It is only a matter of time for someone like Freeza/Cooler/Heaters to notice the "unlimited potential" of this "chained saiyan" and try to get some wishes on Earth.
The title What if and your take on it kind of reminds me of how the fanfic Dragon Ball Z: Dynasty used Suno in a more interesting way that matches what we know of her as a character. Don’t know if you read fics much Masako, but I would recommend checking it out. Yes, it does take some inspiration from one of your What ifs, but it does it’s own thing with the concept. Also it gives the non-Saiyan Z Fighters good spotlight and development, makes a better version of the Garlic Jr and Bojack stories and does even better with integrating the movies into canon and giving the characters from them personalities and character development.
As one of the requesters of What if Suno Married Goku, I understand completely. True, we don't have much to go on with Suno's personality and stuff. I just felt it could be cool because Eighter could somehow become a Z-Fighter, they could investigate Gero earlier. But yeah. I get it. I also liked the What if Dragon Ball had one timeline and What if Goku Landed at Kame House. They were all was pretty cool. Thanks Masako!

Kami specifically made it so his tail can't grow back. I'd imagine the dragon couldn't undo something specifically done by a higher being than himself.
@@NieroshaiTheSable the dragon was made by kami shorty after he became guardian and by then kami has been ageing a good 200-300 years so it would make sense for kami to be weaker and the dragon stronger
1. What if Chi Chi turned evil due to Goku's behaviour driving her insane overtime? 2. What if Katas went to earth with the Nameless Namekian? 3. What if Kami had kids during the first King Piccolo wars? 4. What if King Cold was revived instead of Freeza? 5. What if Zeno decided to travel the multiverse and bond with mortals in the beggining of his reign?
Me personally I feel like one of the reasons why Goku was never really around the house is because Chichi was always there pressuring him and many times try to take him from his passion one of the reasons why Goku fell in love with her is because she was a fighter upon becoming a mother she gave up on that she even made Goku stop training just because you're agreeable does not mean that you won't say no when the time comes. The way how I see Chichi and Goku's marriage at the beginning was the fact that she played on Goku's one ignorance and two caring nature Goku did not even know what marriage was I feel like he was more keeping a promise than actually loving her I feel that as time went on he began to love her in some way but their marriage is not a happy one they constantly fight and Chichi has just changed her entire demeanor she for being a fighter just saying that martial arts is bad that is the main reason how she got her husband and she's calling her bad. Personally I think with suno with her being a lot more caring and understandable Goku and Gohan have time to grow I think Goku would be around the house more look at Vegeta and Bulma and his drastic change I feel like it'd be similar to that
Idk, I agree that Goku would accidentally neglect suno because she would never speak against his excessive training, but he'd still want to spend time with her and Gohan because he loves them... Even if he loves training more... and I think Gohan would eventually call him out about causing his mother grief and get him to re-evaluate his relationship with suno
Imagine the potential if he married Launch. The REAL original Super Saiyan. I feel like no matter who he married Gohan still inevitably would have been born but imagine him with Launch's genes. Only problem is, where would the family live?

One Rumour floating around (backed up by a level in dokkan) is that Android 17's mystery wife is in fact Suno. Theory is after the cell games #17 would come across #8 who personaility wise was a lot like #16 and would be introduced to Suno from there. And we know Suno has an affinaty to take in Androids from the Red Ribbon Army lol

I have a small but perhaps big objection to the dynamic between Suno and Goku. She has a cozy crib and apparently good cooking skills that might make her seem as just a milder flavor of Chi Chi, but let's not forget she lives in a decidedly cold region. You usually gotta be in at least half-decent shape and, assuming they need to gather their own materials from time to time rather than having it all delivered, physically active and witty enough to handle the harsher environment and terrain to survive in it longterm. I doubt it would simply be a matter of Suno being lovingly supportive and a local authority figure, I wager she might very well compliment Goku's survivalist upbringing well enough by doing some of the hardy work with him now and then. It'd be a more passive kind of challenge compared to butting heads, but a challenge nonetheless. You could see it as a different manifestation of Goku being put in charge of a cabbage farm much earlier. Plus, Eigther's around along with the other villagers and Dr. Flappe to make things a little more interesting for all of them, while still keeping Goku somewhere relatively rural. I wager it'd be more stable than boring. It'd be a simple but likely less dull life than making a living at Mt. Paozu.
This kind of has me wondering about "what if Dragonball Z wasn't funny". I don't think it would make for your style of storytelling since you like to stay true to the spirit of it and this is explicitly taking that out, but DBZ famously toned down the humor a lot from DB, while still keeping a significant piece of it. If Toriyama decided to play it straight we wouldn't have had things like Hercule, the posing aspect of the Ginyu force, or Chichi's rage boosts (what inspired this train of thought from this episode). Obviously, you've touched on the all-things-being-equal versions where we erase Chichi's rage boosts and lose Gohan's rage boosts, or erase Hercule and Buu's rampage isn't stalled. But with Toriyama writing a coherent story without them I wonder how much different it would turn out.
What if... Instead of dying from the heart virus, he just became paralyzed from the neck down. Ooo, maybe it could result in him becoming an android in a unique way. An exoskeleton gets meshed over his body that can utilize ki. Or maybe a fully robotic body.
Im not usually a pot of good ideas. Some what-ifs that I would like to see is: -What if vegeta and tarble switched roles -what if there were was no godly hierarchy -what if earthlings had a god form Not much to go off of, but some things I was just thinkin' about

I like the idea of a Redhead Gohan! Maybe Bulma, as a scientist, goes to space earlier and meets Vegeta a year or two after Goku's fight with Piccolo Jr. Making Trunks only few years younger than Gohan. I'd love to see their red/blue head fusion later in the story!

What if the human Z Fighters trained harder? Technically the humans could match the Saiyans if they trained for longer period in Gravity Chamber , King Kai's plannet , Yadarat , Under other Supreme Kais , and Beerus Planet or duel against Super Saiyans until they reach their levels.
The only way they could "manage" to keep up with saiyans would be for them to have access to both the Kaio-Ken & Genki-Dama ; plus getting the "Magical Upgrades" (from both the old Kami of Namek & the Ancient Kai of the Z-Sword). Also also -> The Saiyans (or half_saiyans) can never learn or benefit from this techniques/upgrades ( something ~something~ saiyan_blood/soul_bad ).
