What if Tuco’s henchman never said “Just remember who you’re working for?”

It's kind of sad that Jesse and Hank's death fixed a LOT of problems in this universe. Jane likely never relapsed, Andrea never died, Hank never assaulted Jesse leading Walter to need Gale fired to keep Jesse quiet which would snowball into Gus and Gale's deaths, Steve lives. Even at the end of it Walter does end up cooking with someone he. I believe, would fully enjoy working with and would prosper off of, and maybe working with Gale would help him be a better person given how innocent Gale was.

This is the evil version of the show. Walt actually getting his meth "empire", while working with Gus to take out the cartel.

When you brought up Hector asking walter if jesse is family I very much felt we'd get a nervous walter lying and saying yes in hopes to save jesse. Tuco would be standing holding a gun at jesse behind a sitting Hector. Then Hector gets up almost frustrated at tuco for not dropping his gun. Then we hear "Familia is all" from hector

This may be Walter's good ending, aside from Jesse & Hank being dead, for what we know his cancer is gone from the cartel's treatment, and he's now cooking meth for Gus, though with Gale for the foreseeable future. Mike isn't dead, Gale isn't dead, his family doesn't seem to hate him, though he wont be known as Heisenberg like in the normal timeline, just a chemistry teacher with an unfortunate run in.

This is literally the best outcome ever for the show

What if Gus met Tuco? He's the only Salamanca who we never saw Gus interact with.

Closet thing to making gus an anti hero somewhat sympathetic

I don’t think Gus would allow the Salamanca’s to die so fast. His literally says “A bullet to the head would be far too humane”.

This "What If?" could have been a great plot for a stand-alone feature film. A feeble cancer patient starts an amateur meth operation only to wind up inadvertently instigating the fall of the cartel.

Any ending with Gale is a good ending. It's funny how this version of Breaking Bad makes Saul exclusive to the prequel, making Better Call Saul primarily a show about the rivalry between Gus and the Salemancas.

This is one time that I'll disagree with you: I think that talking about "lie detector tests" is a little too technical for someone who lives by animal instincts like Hector. I think Hector would say something like "These addicts: they can't be trusted -- always make trouble, talk to the police..."

I thought about the ending for this route Would Walt’s ego still take this story to the same conclusion? Then I came to the conclusion: Walt’s ego would probably be broken by hector so he basically got humbled.

I think the situation where Tuco kidnapped Walt & Jesse probably would never happen if Hector was in a better shape. That’s mainly because Hector could’ve maintain stronger control/influence over Tuco, although Tuco would still be struggling with “meth related problems” but not to the degree when he kidnaps two guys without any plan whatsoever, brings them to Hector’s place saying that they can cook meth and they should go across the border together to build a meth empire there… Hector probably would disregard that idea as insane and go much simpler way - whack both Walter and Jesse right there, tell Tuco to dispose of bodies, get the hell out of his house and out of country faster than cops can catch him. Anyways, love your what ifs, good stuff.

This is the bad ending because Walt and Gale never started making coffee, even as a side gig.

I loved the ride and the conclusion, it's actually pretty well thought out. However, the one thing I have a bit of a gripe with is the fact that Gus would have never let his revenge against Hector go. It was literally his main purpose in life and can't see Gus not taking care of Hector himself. I mean, if it were that easy for him, he would have left him to die when Nacho switched the pills instead of going out of his way to keep him alive.

I actually wondered earlier today what if Nacho escaped because Gus didn't threaten his father and he ran.

I love this - only problem is Gus would've personally killed Hector himself. Gus wanted him to suffer which is why he didn't let him die from the stroke

What I like about this is that it's quite faithful to what Vince intended for the show, especially with Jesse dying. This is honestly a great video and I like how the characters work.

A neat thing I've noticed in a lot of these Breaking Bad "What If" videos is that the stories where things don't go the way Walter intended often end up saving him mentally, and others literally. This story is a good example of this. Your video on "What if Drew Sharp" survived is another good example. I'm rather lazy, so I won't explain anything here, but it's just really interesting how if Walter's plans failed a bit more in the actual show, it could've stopped him from eventually being consumed by Heisenberg. If things went a bit more wrong for Walter, he never would've become Heisenberg. He'd still use the name for business reasons, but he never would've actually blackened his soul. Great story man! :D

Gus would want to pull the trigger on the Salamancas himself. Remember, in the last episode of season 4, Tyrus offered to kill Hector, but Gus was like "I do this."

This is like one of the best ending scenarios just kinda sad that Jesse and Hank died.

The only way Jessie could survive his encounter with Hector(recovered) & Tuco is if he had double the plot armour than he has in the show. Hector would definately not trust an addict and would manipulate Walt into thinking he k1IIed Jessie for his safety.

this is pretty dark but what if skyler miscarried holly? i wonder if walt would try and be there more for his family after that and how his double life would get in the way

I really like the idea of hector post stroke recovery actually learning some anger management and rivaling gus in his ability to hide his inner distain. Though I think if Hector, the twins, and most importantly *Lalo* outlive Eladio and Bolsa, they would not hesitate to immediately go into a gang war with their superior muscle. Hector and Lalo would probably even brain storm over the phone on their next move instead of congregating to the house. So I don't think it would be as easy for mike to just snipe them all in one place. So I kinda imagine at least one salamanca getting the jump on Gus and "peeling off his snake skin." Before the wars over. One other thing to consider is nacho, cause I figure he's only going to wanna try and get hector killed in a different way if hector will try to rope his father into the game.

What if Hank looked in the bag that Walt was carrying with 500k 😳

so right about hector. no half measures or hesitation with him. though i don't know if it would be as friendly with walt. maybe hec does respect his age group of peers slightly more than other civilians, but not by much- walt looks scared and hopeless- his only use being meth, so hec would quickly employ strong arming tactics without even the pretence of niceness, enslaving walt and killing jesse, killing hank, ruling new mexico with an iron fist over every other antagonist probably save for mike or walt.

Damn this is probably the closest to a "good ending" that any of these have been. I'm surprised that Hector recovering would lead to that 😅. I do think all the Salamancas being taken down so easily wouldn't be quite how it goes but I do like the idea of Gus and Gale working to save Walt. Feels in character for Gale to sympathise and for Gus to be motivated by taking down Hector.

A great what if scenario that gives Walt a happy ending after what he's been through while also probably humbling him that he doesn't have delusions of grandeur like in the show. And best of all Gale lives and now happily cooks with his new best friend. It's a shame that Jesse and Hank die but at least Walt and Gus avenge them. Though I would say that it'd seem a bit out of character for Gus to just have Mike snipe the Salamancas and be done with it, least of all Hector. I think he'd at least instruct Mike to have Hector's death linger via bleeding out or for him to cripple him via shots to the legs while Gus would finish him off himself.

This storyline is "Breaking Good" besides the part where he gets Jessie/Hank killed, and gets enslaved, this is a pretty good timeline for Walter 😅

Hector is a better Jack when it comes to slaves

I wrote an entire fanfic on what would happen if mike helped nacho in his final scene, like started shooting. If anybody wants, I could paste it below. Edit: so I had to do a bit of editing and its structured kind of weirdly but here goes. Nacho stood with the gun to Bolsa's head, looking around for a way out, but there wasn't one. He thought of his father, and knew what he had to do. Meanwhile, Mike was watching this unfold, and wished things could be different. He watched the Salamanca twins point their guns, trying to get a good shot. Why is it fair that a good kid who made mistakes gets worse than the ruthless Salamanca scum, he wondered. His mind flashed back to when they threatened his granddaughter. His anger swelled. He knew what was best for him was wrong. Well, he thought, maybe it's time to do some right. *Whizsplat.* The sound of the bullet speeding through Leonel Salamanca's head echoed, and everyone turned their heads except Nacho, who ducks instinctively. Marco fires his gun and Nacho's face is covered in Juan Bolsa's blood. For a split second, Victor and Tyrus don't know what to do, and before they can react, Nacho shoots Gus is the face, and Tyrus is shot in the back by Mike. Victor knows he has nothing left to fight for except himself, but he also realises that if Leonel gets away, he'll be dead, so he shouts, "truce!" before he and nacho take cover in the back of the van. "That must be Mike." Nacho says to Victor "Bastard." Victor vents. They move from cover and begin firing at where they saw Leonel take cover. They fire at it until they run out of ammo, and begin to reload. Leonel fires from under the car, shooting Victor in the head. Mike has figured this out and shoots through the truck in the nick of time. Leonel stares at Nacho, dieing on the ground. Nacho walks over to Hector, and drags him out into the open. He walks up to the van and opens the door. He can hear a bullet hit Hector as he climbs into the driver's seat. He knows he has to go and never look back. Lalo would call the nursing home where Hector would be if he was alive, only to be told that he was checked out by the twins, and never returned. Lalo breaks his phone is half. He storms up to the smugglers about to take people to the U.S. he doesn't even say anything to the smugglers and climbs in the truck, struggling to keep his anger in. He knows Hector must be dead. He figured that they must've gone to interrogate Nacho, and that they did not return. Lalo would have his revenge. Sangre por sangre. Gus Fring had been reported missing by Lyle. Mike thought about saying something, but the authorities would figure this out eventually. The authorities didn't suspect Fring of doing anything. In breaking bad, the only thing that was proof of gus' illegal doings was the lab, and since it wasn't discovered, nobody got arrested. Lalo would go to Germany to get evidence of Gus' betrayel, eventually finding out that he had been building a bunker in a warehouse. Lalo would break into the warehouse, recording everything. He would return to mexico and Don Eladio's home. "Miss me?" Nacho had turned himself in and become a witness to the illegal actions of Tuco salamanca and Don Eladio, with everybody else he could rat on being presumed dead. He didn't admit more than he had to, however. Don Eladio's home would be raided, only to find nothing. They knew Nacho would become a rat. Don Eladio would be let go, and widely considered to be innocent by the DEA. Tuco had multiple murder charges against him. Nacho also ratted on the Salamanca twins so that his father would be placed in witness protection. He had told the DEA where many of the Salamanca's victems were buried. Nacho was given a 20-year prison sentance. Lalo would return to Albequerque, to interrogate Saul about the betrayal, with Howard having given his speech days earlier. Saul would not end up knowing anything about what happened, however. Lalo's next target was Mike's family. He knew that Mike had not been caught, so he and the cartel kidnapped Kaylee, leaving the note "Lets talk." Stacey wanted to report this to the police immediately, but Mike knew this had to do with him. Mike walked outside with Lalo watching on a camera. Lalo went inside a few hours later. Mike spoke first. "Return her, and I'll tell you whatever you want." Lalo would ask him what happened in the interrogation, but Mike told him he wasn't there, that he couldn't bear to watch. He said that Nacho must've paid hitmen to help him, as there was no other way to win that fight. He would pretend to track down a group of hitmen and he blamed them for the attack. This was Jack's prison gang, and they were all mercilessly killed by the cartel in a massive shootout. Kaylee was fine, except for getting kidnapped. Mike would tell Stacey that he just tracked down the kidnapper. Mike would end up in mexico doing jobs for the cartel and providing for Stacey and Kaylee. Lalo would talk to Saul about representing Tuco. It was difficult, but Saul pulled out all the stops to defeat the charges, leaving only the multiple assault charges. So when They are are tucos place and tuco gets angry taking them outside to get shot, what if that never happened and they stayed inside long enough for Hank to arrive seeing the car and going inside the house, what would his reaction be seeing Jesse tuco and more importantly Walt just sitting there, tuco and Hank would probably get into the gun fight and Hank would probably win but then what would he do with Jesse and more importantly Walt how would he deal with it and how would it effect the DEA and Walt's family

what if you make a story where walter never finds out how much meth cooks make, hank never makes it on the news about the meth bust he got.

Walter got too hot, too fast He seemed to still want to be good at something in this story, but in this case he experienced such a traumatizing event he could never want to be the necessary kingpin of the drug trade nor the gangster like front man.
