What If I Had A Pokemon Evil Team? 

Eyyyyy! We had so many people reply to the original comment I made to join Team Buddy, that I have to make another one! Reply to this comment with what your Grunt Team would be! Guidelines are: -4 Pokemon Maximum -Fairy or Dark Type Pokemon. If you have a Pokemon that isn't Fairy or Dark, but evolves into a Pokemon that is (For example: Eevee, Seedot, etc) that's alright to have. -Some Normal types are alright to have. The Chansey and Buneary line are alright, so it really all comes down to your best judgement. If there's a normal type that's "Friendly" it's more or less alright to use it! -Try not to use Fully Evolved Pokemon that have 3 stages. (So things like Tyranitar, Hydreigon, Florges, etc). Using their 1st or 2nd form is alright, but being a Grunt with a super strong Tyranitar might be a little much I think ;~; -Try not to use an Alolan Muk! That's my signature Pokemon!

It would be the most annoying thing if whenever you cross a Team Buddy Grunt's line of sight, they stop you and run up to you as if to battle, but instead just smile and say hello.

Hearing the story of Team Buddy, I think it was a mistake to disband. Reformation would be better. To reform Team Buddy to follow their true and original ideals. Helping people and Pokemon heal after Team Plasma's chaos. Maybe Team Buddy could never shake the dark shadow that was placed on them by their misguided efforts but they still have a TV station. Issuing a public apology would go a long way to helping recover Team Buddy's image and continuing to help people without the dark undertones. Maybe it's because I can't bring myself to hate well-intentioned extremists, more often I find myself sympathizing with them and even pitying them. The extremist part usually comes when they think they have no choice but to resort to horrible measures to accomplish what they believe will ultimately be for the greater good.

As someone who always enjoyed the aesthetic of the 1950s era and the music, I just love this team! The designs are just perfect, and their plot fits so well. I love their Stepford-y mentality and evil plans. I'd totally play a game that featured this loveable evil team.

I like the retro 50's aesthetic, and think it's great that you and your cronies would split in a hot rod. But, uh... A cheesy Pokémon story? Can't say I've ever seen one of those!

I honestly love this so much. I want this game. The 50s style is to die for.

This is amazing! As i was watching, i imagined the region to have a much more subtle 50's looks with its architecture and NPCs and all, as well as the main characters having more of a bold look that matches the rest of the Unova region's refurbished atmosphere. Perhaps some of the NPCs should have small bits of Team Buddy's influence on them, such as small aspects of their clothing or hair, while some superfans are in an eccentric 50s getup, alluding to if team buddy is truly a suspicious corporation or if those people are just crazy.

You know, their 50s motif fits really well with Team Buddy’s goals and such. The 50s were pretty big on conformity (not Team Buddy’s stated goal, but they do want every]one to dress and act the same). Also the whole brainwashing things fits with MKUltra, which I think started in the 50s.

I really do like this team idea. Very shades of Grey about it. I don't know if you're completely aware of this but the fifties aesthetic suits the theme of the story to a T. After WW2, there was a period of western history where, after all the upheavals caused by war, there was a demand to return to traditionalism with a positive attitude with shows like Leave it to Beaver and I love Lucy being staples of the 50's and 60's and a return to normal gender roles. This period, ironically, was called Modernism.

Pokemon: *getting ideas for new region* Random child: *watching this video* Pokemon: *pauses at **1:50* Pokemon: *GUYS HOW ABOUT SWORD AND SHIELD*

My evil team: team Horizon or the Horizon Squad. (Story takes place in an Aussie region) Grunts appear as Pokémon rangers (jackets, jeans, iron cap boots, whips, rural style hats) Basically they act as heroes, researching Pokémon in random locations and tracking down and monitoring rare Pokémon species. They tend to use Pokémon found in the area they are found in (so grunts you battle on water routes use lots of water types). At the start of the game they use 1-2 Pokémon, after the 4th gym badge they use 3-4 Pokémon and after the 7th badge they use 4-6 Pokémon. But, it turns out they are actually criminals. Half of the Pokémon they 'save' are secretly sold on the black market or used as weapons. The main goal of the team is to summon the legendary and use it to conquer the region, then harness its energy for new technologies. As the boss says, the region is stuck in the past and needs to embrace change and lead the world into the future, either voluntarily or by force. People have become complacent with their lifestyles and aren't preparing the region for change. Whilst the team has a point, their methods are way too over the top and violent.

What if grunts mostly fought in double battles? Them being buddies and all

If I made an evil Pokemon team...I like to write my antagonists as having a valid point but just pursuing it too zealously/the wrong way. The obvious criticism of the Pokemon setting (it's elemental cockfighting) overlaps too much with Team Plasma and logically wouldn't leave the team with any ability to compete in Pokemon battles, so I'd probably instead poke at the whole "ten-year-olds run into the wilderness to capture monsters" aspect. Protecting Our Kids' Education is an organization which argues that children should stay in school and leave Pokemon studying, criminal catching, and so on to adults. They would naturally want to stop the protagonist (for their own protection), possibly dropping you off at home instead of taking money if you lost to them in battle. After some previous Team (Team Skull would work well) started causing trouble and got defeated by a bunch of _kids,_ POKE realized they had to take stronger action. They begin organizing themselves, recruiting new members, and training Pokemon teams. With this newfound power, they begin cleaning up the remnants of Team Skull and other such organizations, taking any wandering kids they find back home along the way. This could lead to some interesting story opportunities. Maybe the protagonist's parents (or at least one of them) are members of POKE, and the protagonist has to sneak away to start their Pokemon Journey. Maybe they meet, rival, and befriend a young member of the previous villainous team, and end up confronting the POKE Chairman together in a big double battle. Maybe the protagonist is forced to admit that the antagonists have a point, and seeks to make some kind of compromise. Maybe some woman can call themselves a "POKE-mom"...okay, that last one isn't much like the others. But still!

So it's the Nuclear Family as an evil Pokemon organization? I like it!

Team skull isn't evil It's obvious that they are COMPLETELY HARMLESS😂

Watching those "What if I had a Pokémon Evil Team" videos is making me think of what mine would be like... I think I would call it "Team Justice" and we would ensure that justice prevails, *no matter the methods!* We punish the criminals ourselves and all Pokémon that would count as "evil" (not necessarily the Dark Type as a whole) would be captured in mass and locked away in personal PCs so that they cannot harm anyone (examples of evil Pokémon would be Gengar and Malamar, for example). And even young trainers can be seen as criminals. For example, mean abusive trainers such as Paul and Damian would be taken to our base, their Pokémon taken away from them and then they would be brainwashed by a whole team of Hypno before being sent back to their home town under watch (and if they were *especially* bad, all of their Badges would be removed from them and they would have to start their journey from the very beginning). We would have a Super Hero motif, Grunts would all have colorful costumes with kind of a "Hero's Sidekick" look (think Robin from Batman). All of my Admins would've been past victims of well-known truly evil Evil Teams (meaning no well-intentionned extremists such as Team Aqua or Magma, only true villains such as Team Rocket, Neo Team Plasma, Team Cipher or Team Rainbow Rocket), motivating them to the cause. I would treat anyone opposing me like if they're the villains. At some point in the story, I would ask the Player Character "Just who are you working for? Giovanni? Ghetsis? Which Team are you from? So I can know EXACTLY who is my opponent, at the moment!". My Team would be one of the few not to have Grunts with *any* Zubat! My Team is supposed to act like some kind of Justice League, so we tend to avoid Pokémon commonly used by villains. I, myself, would be using Pokémon commonly associated to heroes such as Pikachu, Charizard and possibly also the Starter who's type beats the Player's Starter's Type. And when the Player beats me, I would swear that I only lost the battle and not the war, swearing that I will return and bring justice to this Region once and for all before going "to the rescue" of the rest of the world before escaping on my Charizard's back.

Jeez, you've got such good ideas! I LOVE the designs, I love the idea of them trying to make everyone friends by force, I like the smiley and polite exteriors, and I love the admins and the fact that Mr. Buddy sheds his dapper disguise and turns into one cool cat. That curled pompadour is beautiful. As someone who loves ridiculous hair in character designs - and makes it - I definitely approve. Anyway, all the little details - and the bigger ones - all mesh together really nicely and make for one awesome and well thought out fan Evil Team. And I wish this was canon to "Pokemon", ha ha.

My team: it’s made up of 3 people, sir corgi, sir womanman, and lady man They each have Chansey, and their own pokemon- ALOLAN MUK, tepig, And MAGIKARP

In my opinion after finishing playing the main story of Pokémon Sword, Team Yell is the only team in the entire Pokémon series to NOT be evil. For example there was this one time that Team Yell prevented me and Hop from using a certain path because a Pokémon was asleep right next to it. Another example is that one time when Team Yell helped me, Hop, Piers, Marine, and Sonia look for one of Oleana's grunts because he had the key to the monorail to The Rose Tower.

Team Buddy reminds me of the Aether Foundation.

I have three ideas: *Team Digger* who oppose Team Rocket almost religiously. Even if Team Rocket _did_ do something good, Team Digger would oppose it. *Team Cyber* which believes non-biological Pokemon are the future. They see mutations in nature like Grimer, Muk, Trubbish, Eevee, etc. are proof that humanity needs to create artificial Pokemon to protect ourselves from an imminent threat. *Team Nature* that are basically the opposite of Team Cyber in that they believe humans creating Pokemon to be overstepping our bounds. They believe anything they don't see as "natural" should be destroyed. This includes Porygon, Mewtwo, Voltorb, Clefairy, Rotom, that red alien one I can't remember the name to right now...

This will be pretty long, so prepare yourselves xd My evil team is less of a ''team'' so much as they are a clan. Their name is Clan Fang, led by Count. (if you can't tell already, they're vampires.) Some backstory first: Count was a young boy living in and out of a house in the Northern Piatra Region. This is because his family was constantly going on pilgrimages to worship Flargoyle/Gheaero. (They weren't vampires at this point by the way) Once Count was 15, he was taken on his first pilgrimage. Being 15 of course, he wasn't very respectful of anything, and ended up getting him and his entire clan cursed with vampiric powers... They decided that since everybody will want to kill them, and vampires don't particularly like light anyways, they need their own giant home to live in, so they built a huge castle. Count's parents ruled the Clan for a couple hundred years until they got too old and resigned their leadership to their oldest son, Count. Now Count's parents never really did much but protect the clan, and Count didn't really see the point in that, so he promised he would unite the entire region under his rule. Fast forward about 50 years of Clan Fang being trained, and the events of the game begin. After picking your starter, you start your journey. You're just about halfway through Sudulem Woods when 2 vampires stop you. They tell you they have orders to fight any trainer they find, and that failure is not an option. You beat them, but then they get suprisingly smug... They for some reason hand you a vile filled with a somewhat red/purple liquid (depending on your version) and then run off while smirking... You ask the professor about the liquid, and she tells you it's called a Vampiric Elixer... It can temporairly turn anything vampiric including pokemon. (Yes, these people will have vampiric pokemon by the way.) It does nothing but harm humans, but when you give it to pokemon, they will receive a debuff while gaining the ability to drain health from their target while using physical attacks. Lets fast forward a bit: You're on your way to your 3rd badge... To get to the gym, you must first make it through a cave followed by a vast desert... Unfortunately for you, a vampire is blocking the cave. He tells you that the path is closed, but you beat him and he leaves, all be it after giving you more of the elixer... (Yes, they will all give you this every time you beat them.) As you're travelling through the desert, you come across an abandoned temple completely overtaken by Clan Fang members... You fight your way through the temple, until you get to the very core. At the very center of the temple, you find am old woman surrounded by Clan Fang Grunts. She appears to be chanting something, and then a few seconds later, you see a red rune appear in the middle of the room. The light from the rune beams up into the sky following it's original pattern, and then falls back to the ground this time in a more concentrated beam of light. It doesn't destroy anything, but when the beam disappears, you see a staff in the middle of the room that appears to be able to fit something in the middle. The woman seems over joyed, and takes the staff. As she turns around to leave, she notices you. She says: ''Huh? Who are you? Here to stop us, eh? Hmph... Well it's hopeless child, i'll give you that... We already have what we're looking for. *slight pause as she begins smirking* But I guess i'll just engage you in battle anyways... What harm could it do?' After beating here, she gives you more of the elixer and tells you her name is Peleri, and she's one of the highest ranking members of Clan Fang. ''Anyway, i'll be leaving now with the staff... Cheers!'' The screen fades to black when it fades back in, she's gone. Fast forward... You've just gotten your 4th badge and you're just about to travel through cycling road when you find Clan Fang walking towards a cave, led by an old man. Instead of going straight to victory road, you go down the route that leads to the cave. You'll find multiple civilians on this path whispering to one another about what could be going on. When you enter the cave, you find many MANY Clan Fang grunts. After fighting your way to the end, you witness the Old Man forcing some of the grunts to mine something in the wall. After seeing a Purple/Orange flash in the wall, the old man goes on the pick something up, and seems starts smirking. He turns around and sees you. ''Well well well... What do we have here? Sorry kid, you're too late. Clan Fang has already obtained the Stone of Spirit/Blood. I suppose I, Stanly, admin of Clan Fang, will have to defeat you.'' You battle and defeat him... ''Hmph... I'll be taking my leave.'' The screen fades away and fades back in, and you find a vile of the Vampiric Elixer on the floor... You pick it up and go on. Fast forward a bit and you're going to get your 5th badge. You've just gotten through victory road, and all the trainers are talking about how they suspect the vampires are about to do something horrible. you join in on their conversation, and they tell you to go see the librarian in the Desertside Outpost. You go talk to him, and he directs you towards yet another town... Semilun Town. You reach there and earn your 5th badge on the way. The place is filled with vampires, but none of them are in Clan Fang uniforms. All of them tell you that the town is run by the outcasts. They tell you that if you wanna know what's happening, the gym leader would know best. You enter their gym and defeat their gym leader, and he tells you that they're probably trying to summon the legendary pokemon of Blood/Spirit, but you probably still have quite a bit of time as it's quite hard to get the blessing of the staff to work, which is necessary to summon them. You proceed to surf through Crescent Lake, (The lake on which Semilun was built,) and reach another town. This town is full of not civilians, but guards. They're all fighting against the vampires, and they've been at war for decades. there is a gym leader here so you defeat him and keep going to their castle. You fight your way through their castle and reach the thrown room... On the thrown is Count... He notices you. ''Ah... So you're the [Player] my admins kept telling me about... I'm sure I will enjoy crushing you in battle!'' You defeat him. ''... Well then. You're pretty tough after all. No matter... My admins have gotten the blessing of the staff and the stone has been fixed to the staff. I'll take my leave the the Great Castle now. Cheers!'' And then he turns into a bat and flies off. You go to the castle, and when you fight your way to the top, you see Count and all his admins standing infront of the legendary pokemon! You defeat all of them, and they decide that it's no use trying to defeat you, because there's no way you could possibly catch the legendary pokemon. At this point they just decide to give you a master ball out of confidence... (By the way, Count's team is Swoobat, Crobat, Cofagrigus, and Houndoom.) Your rival appears and heals your pokemon, and you catch the legendary pokemon. When you catch it, you look around you... Clan Fang all seems to bee on the floor panting. you notice that their eyes are normal, their teeth are normal, and their skin is less pale. You appear to have cured them of their vampirism. Only one other thing: Count isn't there. After talking to a few of the admins, they tell you they don't know where he went, but then he bursts through the door overwhelmed with rage! Out of his rage, he just engages you in battle one more time. You defeat him, and he goes insane. Like, even more insane than Ghetsis. You know something is wrong when even Ghetsis has the highground when it comes to sanity. The grunts then escort him out. One of the admins, Stanly, talks to you. He tells you that deep inside of him, he didn't exactly agree with Count's plans to turn the entire region into vampires. He then gives you a whole heap of vampiric elixer and leaves. So that was my evil team! Tell me what you think of it!

soooo, basically, their whole masterplan is to get the entire region high, with the help from a giant weed machine. i might as well let them succeed just to see what happens

What I like the most about the concept behind Team Buddy is that the desire to make friends and do good is genuine. There's no "haha, like we would be friends with YOU, rube!!!" moment. It's not all an elaborate trick to make people let down their guard so you can stab them in the back. You (Mr. Buddy) actually do want people to make friends and get along, which puts the team in a genuine moral grey area, and not the kind that's black as coal underneath with a translucent layer of white on top.

What i like more is how the team leader is presented like a mc from another story and someone similar To the player thanks to his experience and conflict with team plasma, It makes you feel like someone at your level and who is actually an expert fighter, like Giovanni in pokemon adventures

Honestly, this "ridiculously nice to the point that it's creepy" vibe reminds me of Daniel from Camp Camp and Yes-Man from Fallout: New Vegas. In fact the retro theme reminds me of Fallout a lot! I love it!

I would like to change some things and explain more what I plan to do, so our evil teams aren't as similar. So, I still don't have a team name yet. But I want to make it so the team doesn't use Pokémon. At all. They use robots and fake Pokémon. They also aren't planning on using legendaries. They just plan on getting all the Pokémon, putting them on a boat, and blowing up said boat. They also don't plan on making this jut in their region. They want to go global and destroy all pokemon. Because of this, maybe other gym leaders from previous games could appear in the region to help stop them? Also, I'm ditching the whole 'mother is the team leader' thing. It just seems tacky. Finally, I have a amino. I'll be updating on this story from there. I would use RU-vid, but I don't have editing/recording software.

As a grunt, I'd probably have: Mawile, Liepard, and Clefairy If I were an Admin? Mawile, Liepard, Audino and Sableye. My Admin name would actually be Daisy and of course I'd have a greaser/biker style and probably would use a motorcycle alot.

I'd join the team for the cute aesthetics and the adorable yellow dress. They sound legitimately creepy though lol. Like I'm at the 11 minute mark and I'm wondering if you get put in a wood chipper if you aren't perpetually cheerful. I will only join your evil team if we have a monthly performance of Grease. I would also accept it more frequently. I would use Spritzee, Whimsicott, and Ribombee :) Also no I did not like this. I loved this. This was awesome and all your hard work really paid off.

I'm pretty sure that if I was in Team Buddy, I'd have a Ribombee, Mawile, and an Alolan Persian; and the reason I'd even be in the team in the first place is that I volunteered to help them in bringing Pokemon and people back together ('Cause though i don't like to brag, I'm nice like that), and ended up getting a Lucid Mist makeover at their salon just to prepare myself for the "initiation". I just love this idea so much and I can't wait to see more of this in the future! It's truly the Ribombee's knees!

I REALLY like the idea of the grunts realizing that their agenda is incorrect in the end. That they're relieved that you stop them. That's really refreshing and a clever idea.

New evil team: Team Showdown (named after Pokemon Showdown) A team that took the battling scene by storm, Team Showdown aims to fulfill every trainer's dream of being the best like no one ever was by establishing facilities for breeding and raising Pokemon, as well as holding tournaments and special battling programs. However, their popularity has also caused a change in the region's trainers: both trainers and Pokemon are judged solely on their battle potential, and weaker Pokemon are being shunned and abandoned. Gyms and the Pokemon League is falling into obscurity because of their position as a test for trainers to overcome rather than to use the absolute strongest combinations to obliterate the competition. The ones at the top of Team Showdown are interested only in the money and fame, and don't care about the thousands of Pokemon that are bred and tossed away for not meeting "competitive" standards. In the end, they decide to hold the Ultimate Tournament where the representatives of the quickly-becoming-irrelevant Pokemon League will battle against representatives of Team Showdown. During this tournament arc, it's revealed that Team Showdown's ultimate plan was to perfect some sort of "Pokemon Generator" machine that can create Pokemon. Admins and the Leader use teams of Pokemon based on tiers: Lilith (Little Cup) Navarre (NeverUsed) Lee (RarelyUsed) Yuyu (UnderUsed) Ichirou (OverUsed) Ruben (Ubers)

Team Buddy's quite the likable bad guy team, aren't they? Anyhow, for MY evil Pokemon trainer team, they'd be called Team Justice. The backstory is that following Team Rocket's final defeat in Johto, a lot of people were angry at the authorities for not being able to stop Team Rocket without help from kid Pokemon trainers. As a result, a group of adult and teen Pokemon trainers got together to form Team Justice, a paramilitary organization dedicated to stopping evil Pokemon trainers from reeking havoc and to keep peace and order. They're founded in Johto but expand into Kanto. At first, they do a good job and are well respected but the authorities regard them as lawless vigilantes and crack down on them. Angry, Team Justice becomes more hardline and goes underground with plans to take over Johto and Kanto by force and rule the two regions as its overlords to "protect the masses". They do many of the same things that other bad guy organizations do to further their plans but keep running into the player's character who fights to stop them. Unlike Team Rocket, Team Justice doesn't hurt innocent civilians and proves reluctant to have to fight you but they have no choice. In regards to their theme, they're dressed in superhero style uniforms with their supreme leader called the Grand Justicar. Their team uses a wide variety of Pokemon depending on which grunts and admins you're fighting.

So I designed a character that I thought would go good with this story Here name is Mozzie and she is a shy, anxious, girl who is a bit older than the player. She has a little sister named Lizzie who is presented as the player’s rival, but she is a bit younger than the player, so their mom made Mozzie go with Lizzie on her journey. After the second gym, you find Mozzie running to you and asking for help. (For context, I made a Pokémon to go with Mozzie witch I haven’t thought up a name of but it is basically a cat Pokémon that has a worn-top hat when you first catch it, and when you give that Pokémon a different hat and level it up, it will evolve. Ex. Straw hat would be grass/fire, New top hat would be normal/steel,etc. Mozzie was given that pokemon from Lizzie) Mozzie said that after Lizzie won her second gym, and Mozzie took Lizzie to the team buddy building. Shortly after they left, Lizzie was kiddnapped by the greasers. Mozzie tried to fight, but she was too weak. So she asks you if you can keep an eye out for her. You do, and then mozzie leaves in a panic. Then after the 3rd gym, you see a little girl in team buddy atire. She says her name is Elizabeth, and she said that she was a new member. You know who she is, and that is Lizzie! You call Mozzie to tell her the news, but as soon as you tell her where you are, she shows up panting. She has gotten a bit more sporty look and has her hat covering her hair. She looks at Lizzie Buddy-ized and freaks. She quickly runs away. You try to jog Lizzie’s memory, but to no use. You go to find Mozzie, and she is crying in the corner, but quickly covers it up when you come near. She tells you that she was suspicious of team buddy but now she knows it’s true. You noticed she has two pokeballs now so you congratulate her to try to cheer her up. She says quickly she just got another of the hat-cat Pokémon because she wanted to try to take of some stress. She says that she never went on a Pokémon journey because she has been always so scared of Pokémon, but now she has gotten over her fear because of her sister. Then she stands up and thanks you for cheering you up. Then she said she might start her journey now and says, “if I’m going to be able to rescue my sister, I’m going to need to get stronger, and in order for me to get stronger, I might as well fight some gym leaders.” So in this point of the story, you can figure out that mozzie is the real rival, and Lizzie was a setup. I just wanted to do that because we’ve never had it before. You start fighting team buddy to help mozzie, but then when your about to fight Rosie and Cherry after the 5th gym, you see a shadow from up above. You see mozzie (but you don’t know it’s her because I wanted her to be not obvious like the masked royale thing. Just saying for simplistically’s sake) on top a roof in a fadora, mask, two big pigtails with red highlights, pleated skirt, black Leggings, and matching fingerless gloves and boots. She jumps of and helps you in a multi battle. As soon as the battle is over, she disappears. I got so much more, but this is more than a comment, this a story.

I had this sitting so long in my playlist to watch later and _finally_ I watched it. And seriously this is so cool! I really like the inspiration that you took from the 50s and how the team tries to work with kindness - even if not in the right way. Also, this video gave me a new story idea which is the best thing when it comes to seeing what other people come up with!

I actually like this concept idea, as someone who also liked to watch "Grease" and had a hard time making friends until meeting the right people, I just gotta say "Eyyy, dis' is some slick idea, Buddy!"
