All Padawans had basic knowledge of the different saber forms, and you have to remember how often Anakin used his lightsaber compared to others. He built upon the fifth form, where Palpatine relied more on the force. When it came to saber battles, he didn't build upon it as much, otherwise he would've used a lightsaber more often than not. Although, Mace Windu still definitely would've annihilated Anakin, no doubt there.

Tha't not the true. Anakin was one the best Jedi in the order, i think Anakin knew that if he wanted to save Padme he had to beat Windu. Windu indeed was poweful , but i really think that if Anakin was focus and determinated i think he could really beat Windu, specially with Sidious there leading him , just like he did for Dooku.

Mace was the only thing that was stopping Anakin from saving Padme. He was pushing his limits.

He did say you could only see a purple and blue blur ( something like that). Lets say it takes a skilled swordsman 10 minutes to win a fight, the same fight between two force users would be over in a fraction of the time but still use just as much stamina if not more. So the fight was probably over in no more than 3 minutes (obviously swords weigh a lot and lightsabers... well there lightsabers but my point stands :p just a thought)

The Senate Unlike Mace Windu, Yoda could have most likely defeated Darth Sidious. Yoda would have probably disarmed Sidious and he could have actually been able to effectively deflect Sidious' Force-lightning using his mastery of Tutaminis, so Sidious wouldn't have Yoda at his mercy, as he did Mace. Anakin Skywalker actually trusted Yoda, unlike Mace, with whom he had always had a rivalry, so he probably would have been more reluctant to betray him. Plus, Yoda most likely would have agreed for Darth Sidious to stand trial, as he was less ruthless than Mace Windu.

@@frankiebond7097 You're wrong, Palpatine was furious at Dooku when he cut off Anakin's hand, at this point, training his Apprentice was his only concerned, and he can't train a broken apprentice, he wanted Anakin at his full potential, and so if he saw Mace gaining the upper hand at any time in the fight, he'd have jumped in to save Anakin.

I can't remember if it's canon or not but I'm pretty sure force sensitives can still give birth to children that cannot use the force but don't quote me haha :P

If you'd had Anakin fight Mace, the original trilogy wouldn't have happened. As good as Anakin was, he was completely and totally outmatched by Windu. He wouldn't have stood a chance in hell. Especially not when continuing to shift to the dark side. The more Anakin tapped into the dark side, the more powerful Mace would become. There was no winning that fight unless Palpatine were to step in, and even then, there's no guarantees.

@Marcus First things first, although mace windu has an extreme power as he can use both sides, he doesn’t hold the power of Yoda, who couldn’t beat Palpatine, and it’s easy to notice Palpatine holds back when he senses anikan. And anikan could kill dooku who Yoda couldn’t. So anikan is more powerful than Yoda, and I personally believe although a tough fight would be put on, he could atleast disarm or chop Palpatine hand off. Although he may also lose his weapon and die to sith lighting Palpatine at full power, an amazing fight would occur. I am not saying windu isn’t powerful, he’s a legend. But he seems to be unbeatable in this which isn’t true as anikan could easily beat him. And mace windu also couldn’t kill dooku as novel states he’d beat outnumbered.

Palpatine hated Maul and vice versa. It was already shown in Clone Wars that Maul had already tried to kill Palpatine, which resulted in the death of Maul's brother, Savage. Neither Sheev nor Maul would EVER work together, not in a million years.

He also defeated Mace Windu, before in Jedi sparring sessions, before he received his extended knowledge of the Dark Side of the Force. The primary lightsaber form that Darth Tyranus utilised, Form II: Makashi was geared toward finding openings in the attack patterns of reckless, aggressive opponents, such as practitioners of Form VII of lightsaber combat, like Mace Windu. It's a common mistake that Vaapad is an automatic win for every Sith, but it would probably have little effect on Tyranus, as he is very calm and calculating in battle, which would leave little fury for Mace to draw strength from. Darth Tyranus also defeated Sora Bulq, the co-creator of Vaapad ( who was confirmed to be Mace's equal ) quite easily with Force-lightning, during the Clone Wars.

Daddy I Said Stop lol that's not true at all. Obi-wan wast going easy at all. He knew what he had to do to beat Anakin and that was to wait out his assault. Anakin held the upper hand pretty much that entire fight. He was constantly pushing Obi-wan back Obi knew that in a straight up confrontation he would lose. That's why he was the perfect opponent for Anakin because his defenses were so strong that Anakin couldn't pierce them as fast as he wanted to which caused him to become even more enraged and clouded his judgement. A mistake most darksiders make especially young ones such as Anakin. That is why after the battle Anakin recognized his weakness and the danger of letting the rage completely take over his mind. This is what turned him into such an efficient Jedi hunter as Darth Vader. If he had the mindset of Darth Vader with the raw power of Anakin no Jedi shy of maybe Yoda would have been able to stand up to him.

The story is pretty much the same except the Wookiee arrive before Anikan is done and with the help of the Clones Ankian defeats the Wookiees. Anikan is then ordered to got to Mustafar. The story plays out the same until Padme arrives. Obi and Mace both snuck in the ship. Anikan force chokes Padme and then starts battling Obi Wan and Mace Windu. Yoda and 4 Jedi knights go to see Palpatine. Yoda and the Jedi start battling him and they gain the upper hand. Then suddenly Darth Maul jumps down from above and beheads a Jedi knight. The Jedi knights turn around and start fighting Maul and Yoda and Palpatine continue fighting. Eventually Maul, kills 2 of the other Jedi and only one remains fighting him. Meanwhile Ashoka has found out Anikan turned to the dark side. Sidious escapes and Maul escapes. On Mustafar Anikan, Obi Wan and Mace are still fighting and Obi Wan is force pushed into a building and Mace and Ani start fighting on a small platform floating on lava.

+Coaster Fun After a few minutes Anikans light sabre is sliced in half and Windu slices both of his robotic legs of. Sidious senses Anikan has failed and him and Maul head to a ship to go to Mustafar. Obi Wan and 4 Jedi knights have regrouped and Ashoka arrives. On Mustafar Obi Wan is in tears that he has to watch his old friend die. Mace raises his sabre and with one swift swing, Anikans face has a slash mark, and he is dead. Yoda, 4 Jedi knights and Ashoka ambush Maul and Sidious and start battling. Maul quickly strikes down the Jedi knights and Ashoka is putting up a good fight. Yoda is beating Sidious. On Mustar Ani's body is brought onto Padme's ship and she is put on life support as they fly to Coruscant. At the temple Ashoka has defeated Maul and starts helping Yoda. In the distance they see a ship, Padmes ship. When it lands Mace throughs Anikans body towards Sidious with the force. Sidious becomes angry and slashes at Windu but he Sidious is to slow.

+Coaster Fun Mace and Sidious lock blades and Sidious uses the force to push the others away. He gains the upper hand and forces Windus sabre away. He raises he sabre and say "you die".
