I don't know man, I don't think Obi-wan would rush into the chamber like Mace Windu since he's not as hot headed or as arrogant in his abilities as Mace was. I believe he'd call Yoda and Mace to return to Coruscant and they would plan how to defeat Palpatine. Rushing in to attack this ultimate Sith Lord isn't becoming of Obi-wan.

Harambe Yep. Though none of the Jedi order knew anything of Anakins wife or the circumstances of him killing Dooku or anything, Windu sensed Anakins conflict, as well as Palpatines influence on Anakin. He was the first Jedi to conclude, "the darkside of the force surrounds the Chancellor".

Not the order itself but he stumbled onto the delivery system for order 66, shaak ti was close to figuring it out during the fives arc until palpatine set him up on coruscant and got him executed.

And had he been just a little quicker, that knowledge would have been attained by the Jedi. That in turn would prompt them to remove the inhibitor chips. Rex was able to remove his. Without the inhibitor chips to control them, the clones would have the option to refuse to carry out Order 66. Completely botching Palpatine's attempt to destroy the Jedi.

Thijmen Vervaet Potentially yes, but it's important to remember that Vader has always been kind of iffy with his stance on the dark side after all had he truly been loyal to the site order, despite the rule of two he would have killed Luke on bespin. There's also that time not too long after ahsoka fought Vader and even looked into his eyes and tried to bring him back and failed. She was his apprentice but past that friendly relationship if obi wan hadn't been able to bring anakin back from the fall I doubt ahsoka would've been much help. There was also when anakin fell to the son then had his memory wiped

What if Mace Windu allowed Anakin to come with him to face Palpatine?

I think one of this scenarios would happen: 1. Anakin would betray Mace Windu and stab him in the back when Palpatine is cornered and disarmed. That's why he wanted Anakin to stay in the temple. 2. Palpatine would say the same he said when Anakin arrived in the office, try to manipulate him with lies of jedi treachery and when the other jedi try to shut him up, he would kill Tiin, Colar and Fisto. Then he would still try to convince Anakin to do the "right" thing and stop Mace Windu. But since I don't think that Anakin could beat Mace, Palpatine would try to use his force to use something like battle meditation to strengthen Anakin's powers in the force. Whitch results in Mace's death. 3. Anakin would switch sides when Mace and the other jedi activate their lightsabers and maybe killing at least one or two of the jedi masters himself. Mace Windu would be the last jedi standing and had to fight Sidious and Anakin. The outcome is pretty obvious.

I can't imagine 3 happening, even at the end of the rots scene anakin is conflicted and only betrays mace at the end when he has to choose between the jedi order and padme. I think something like 2 would happen, but because it happens over a longer period than in the movie I imagine Mace would have had a longer time to think about what was happening. I don't think Anakin would have directly fought Mace unless Mace threatened Palpatine's life, he might just stand off from the fight confused. In the rots novelisation, it's stated that Mace didn't think to look for Anakin's shatterpoint. If Anakin had been with him from the start he may well have considered this, how this would have changed the final outcome is difficult to say.

It's an interesting question but the republic was losing the clone wars and it's pretty likely that if order 66 failed dooku would instead choose to betray sidious and launch a total war on what remained of the republic until his armies eventually overtook the grand army and the remaining jedi

Then there never would have been a Darth Vader. Yoda would have been able to leave out emotion, and would have executed Anakin. No doubt in my mind that's how it would have went down. However with Palpatine not preoccupied with fighting Yoda he may have gone to Mustafar sooner, and stopped the execution. Fun stuff to think on.

@@eddie6198 Which means we could have ended up with an Anakin and Sidious vs Obi and Yoda situation. I personally think it wouldve ended with Yoda getting the upper hand on Sidious, while Anakin kills Obi due to Obi not ending up in an advantageous position from the changed circumstances. Then Anakin blindsides Yoda just before he can finish off Sidious, force pushing him into the lava. I also think upon finding out Sidious didnt really know how Plagueis' secrets, he'd have no further use for him and would kill him to rule the galaxy himself. Without losing his limbs he'd be the most powerful force user to ever exist, and unlock all the secrets of the force, and shape the galaxy as he pleased.

I'm certain Yoda would have been able to help clear Anakin's mind and bring him out of his darkness even knowing full well what Anakin had done. Why? Because he would've taken responsibility... Yoda knew he failed Anakin and more than that he knew the Jedi had failed In all aspects. Yoda would have forgiven Anakin, and he would have realized the Jedi needed to rebuild and rethink the way they went about things. Much like with Dooku's criticism of the Jedi not being able to trust the council with their own truths. I'm sure this stuck with Yoda and surely he would've been a force for the redemption of Anakin, rather than his destruction unlike Obi-Wan. Everyone Anakin had ever cared about had failed him and Obi-Wan the most so. Nobody ever really looked to Anakin and how he felt. Nobody tried to ease his burden and so he felt responsible for everyone and yet isolated and alone. The greatest tragedy of Star Wars has always been how easily things could have been different, if not for everyone being so blinded.

That would have DEFINITELY changed the story a great deal. Had Qui-Gon been able to free both Anakin and Shmi from slavery during his time on Tatooine, the nightmares Anakin had suffered pertaining to his mother's death would not have happened. Many events would indeed play out like it did in the "What if Anakin saved his mother" but he'd go to Qui-Gon about the nightmares he had about Padme. Qui-gon would tell Anakin exactly what he needs to hear. To trust in The Force and to always be mindful. The Sith deemed any offspring Anakin would have to be a threat. Therefore, it'd be necessary to manipulate his nightmares to ultimately drive Anakin to the Dark Side.

Fun Fact: The only reason Darth Maul was "killed off" in the prequels is because the actor that played him told George Lucas during filming that he liked Sega better than Nintendo. Darth Maul was later brought back in Star Wars Rebels because the producer of that show is an avid Sega fan. True Story.

Lucas said that balance in the force was not balance between Jedi and Sith. The Jedi (at least in their conception) were only pawns of the force, servants to it's will, or that's how they should be (like Qui-Gon, the only True Jedi in the prequels). The Sith were disturbances in the Force. They did not follow it's will, they wielded and bent it to their own personal gain, thus, creating an unbalance
