Only uchiha cast genjutsu through eye contact, its imposible for a random mist shinobi with no doujutsu. Kakashi can see through most genjutsu with his sharingan so he shouldn't have been caught. He knew she was a genjutsu specialist from the mist early so no excuse for not using it. Naruto easily could gotten away from civilians even if he had to downplay his skills to genin level. Canon kid naruto was jumping roof tops in the first episode. He could easily jump away to a roof. Why would naruto show off that he is easily jonin level one minute and act like an idiot the next after exposing himself? Kurama couldve easily dispelled the genjutsu he was under no problem.
