When obi said palpatine is evil, he should of said that “you remember qui gon?” Anakin would say “yes” and then obi will be like “well palpatine hired earth maul to kill him, me, padme and everyone else and you just join him” that will hit his heart and make him change his mind

Anakin: *Resumes life in the Order and hunts down evil despite his crimes* Yoda: "Thin fucking ice, you are on."

When Anikin said “I should of known the Jedi were trying to take over!” Obi wan should of said “so you joined someone else’s plan to take over?”

Everyone is talking about the Marvel "what if" series but I really feel like there could be more what if situations in Star wars, Anakin turning being the most different to the story line. I hope they consider something like it

Obi-Wan: Please Anakin. Come back! Anakin: Ok. Younglings: WHAT THE F- DIRECTED BY GEORGE LUCAS

Anakin: Kills young children and the 2nd strongest Jedi Master Yoda: Wrong it was but do it again, please do not.

The pause when Anakin was willing to talk was Anakin reaching out one last time to try to connect deeply with Obi Wan. I think Anakin, were any of this real life and not a script, didn’t want to be a Sith he was backed into a corner and desperate to save Padmè. Obi was knew, Anakin knew that Obi Wañ knew so it could’ve been possible to bring Akakin back to the light.

You're 100% right, it was very easy for Obi Wan to convince him back to the light and I feel like the only reason it played out like this was because they need Anakin to become Darth Vader in the storyline. I think that ignoring the original movies, Anakin could switch back and it would still stand by itself as an amazing storyline.

Anakin: kills defenseless 5 year olds AND the master of the order Yoda: “No big deal just don’t do it again.”

Anakin: **kills literally everyone** Also Anakin: sorry Jedi: oh ok

What's so interesting is that Anakin did explicitly say to Padme that he was willing to overthrow the Chancellor. Obi Wan was actually hidden nearby in the ship and could have very well overhead him say that. Obi Wan knows the Chancellor is the Sith lord that turned Anakin and could have taken this opportunity to string along Anakin into overthrowing him. He could have sensed that Yoda might not take him out alone and that him and Anakin together could have taken him out. Even if Anakin had the wrong reasons in mind, it doesn't really matter as long as they take the Chancellor out of the picture. There definitely was a possibility for Obi Wan to play along with Anakin for a time even if he knew he was on the wrong path. Obi Wan didn't have to turn Anakin back to reason right now. After all, who know how Anakin would have turned after taking out this very evil influence on him?! Maybe he, with the help of yoda AND Padme would have been able to sober up Anakin after the fact without the Chancellor around?! Why not try it instead of outright killing Anakin?! One could argue this would have been the smarter play from Obi Wan, straight up. And that could have happened regardless of Obi Wan's thoughts on the the Jedi council. Obi Wan could have been totally faithful to the Jedi and not convinced by Anakin's take one bit, he could completely refuse the Dark Side, and STILL this would have been the smarter play.

They both smiled at each other... THEN HE WAS FLUNG 50 FEET IN THE AIR WITH BLOOD EVERYWHERE... like wtf lmao

If obi wan mentioned Anakins mother it may have hardened Anakins heart. "How dare you mention my mother! I should have freed her. The Jedi kept me from her" Or something similar I guess.

That little snip of Snoke at the end made him 1000% more important than he actually was in Canon

This. This is perfection. It brings a tear to my eye honestly. For Anakin’s sake first and foremost, this is was what I’m always thinking about when I watch the Mustafar scenes. Star Wars is truly a tragedy.

*Anakin returns to the temple where everyone is just dead* "Sorry y'all, I had a change of heart, but I'm back again!"

Anakin when he returns to the temple: "We were bad, but now we're good"

Anakin:turns Palpatine: threatened padme Anakin: haha dark side go brrrrrrrr

I believe this is very accurate, and very likely what would’ve happened in this scenario. This would’ve truly brought balance to the force and to Anikan himself.

He looked up at obi wan and said... Ad: GET DISCOUNTED PIZZA AT DOMINOS THIS WEEKEND ONLY

Anakin: turns to dark side to save padme Also anakin: chokes her to death

I feel like Disney should make an alternate universe movie where this happens. I would definitely pay to watch that.

i honestly think anakin would more realistically retire from being a jedi because i feel like he would never be able to forgive himself for what he did and he would just focus on his family and let padme be the breadwinner

Anakin did not despise the force only the Jedi. He always had a heart. He most likely would’ve led the younglings away and took their lightsabers after remembering his unborn child. The line “we can still save Padme” would surely bring him back. Force ghosts of all Jedi appearing when palpatine catches them off guard, nearly defeating them, and Anakin’s lightsaber turning purple when he unleashes his power would hit hard. His powers would grow even further when he learns that he has twins.

Honestly I don’t think Anakin would join the jedi order I think he would more likely become a grey jedi or somewhat of a dark jedi but most likely a grey one like ahsoka. Reason why is because at this point from now on he would come to realize that the jedi are flawed and he would try to find his own path that way.
