What if Rock Lee and Neji Swapped Fights? 

I think the writers, wrote themselves into a corner when creating the hyuga clan because on paper they should be busted... but anywho The gentle fist with the byakugan is literally stated to be able to destroy any Chakra based substance so I'm sure neji could easily get through gaara's sand ball/armor ect.... but even the gentle fist no match for the almighty plot armor.

Gonna say this, no way would Lee use any gates against someone like Hinata. Worst he'd do is remove his weights, but even then I think he'd go after Hinata with the intent for a quick win. Lee isn't ruthless, and he's not going to go all out against someone like Hinata.

I will like to add Neji's gentle fist is actually pretty well suited to fight Garra due to gentle fist attacking internally. Garra's sand armor is going to be wasting his chakara at that point. Granted if you go with plot of part 2 exams I can make an argument for Neji getting him into a much more damaged state and life threatening no less.

If Garra turns into Shukaku it's an instant win condition for Neji as every Jonin of the leaf would instantly step in and that's the only way Garra is beating Neji at that point. Also, people seem to think that gentle fist is only capable of shutting down chakra through the tenketsu points. It also beats up on the internal organs and that's why it's considered superior to iron fist. The only reason Naruto survived the 64 palms was because of plot armor. By the rules of the world, Naruto never should've been able to get back up as his internal organs would've been damn near destroyed and even Kyubi chakra shouldn't have been able to force his tenketsu open as that's not how the 64 palms works. It stops the flow of chakra in the body, more chakra really shouldn't do anything since it can't flow to begin with. So without Naruto's plot armor, Garra would definitely lose against Neji at that point in the story. By the same token, Lee would end up losing to Naruto as some sort of plot armor amp would kick in and Naruto would still activate his Kyubi chakra and end up one shoting Lee with the uppercut from hell. As for Kimmimaru, Neji is quite literally the perfect person to go up against him and have a chance of winning. Kimmimaru's body is quite literally the strongest in all of Naruto, making him Lee's natural weakness as his fighting style is meant to break bones and cause blunt force trauma. Kimmimaru has unbreakable bones though. Neji specializes in attacking the internal organs, which just so happens to be Kimmimaru's only weakness as his organs are already shutting down and he's about to die. All Neji would need to do is land a single blow, and Kimmimaru would likely die on the spot. Landing that blow would obviously be very difficult, but considering Neji was able to kill thousands of spiders falling at 5th gates Lee speeds without a single one touching the ground at this same point in the story, I think he can probably get a single blow on Kimmimaru. Neji would also likely be stronger at this point after having fought Garra. Lee should definitely beat Spider guy though, as long as he gets to him before he can hide or summon his spider. Lee shouldn't have any problem speed blitzing him and just pummeling him from the start though.

6:50 I would say this relates to the whole "loser, genius, monster" thing going on in the Chunin Exams. Some Leaf Ninja think Gaara is a genius but he's revealed to be a monster. This could mean Gaara needs Shukaku amps to surpass Neji, like he did with Sasuke. In fairness, though the increase of strength between gates is exponential, when guy changes from 6th gate to 7th gate, it’s way bigger of a boost than any of the prior gate openings, same goes for 7 to 8. So the loopy fist being equivalent to going from 5 to 6 means it is a bigger boost than most of the gate openings That’s a great point thought I’ve always wanted some kind of quantification for drunk mode and thats the first time I’ve heard one

Neji's performance in these bouts depend significantly on how the gental fist works. The story seems to contradict itself when kidomaru secretes a metal armor that can block Neji's attacks. Earlier in the story we were shown that the gental fist can pass through solid objects and that it can harm or target internal organs, so what special property does the armor have that it can't simply be bypassed? Does it apply to other chakra related or constructed armors? Or did the sudden emplacement of this particular armor throw off the surgical precision needed for the disabling of the tenketsu points by just a few millimeters, making it a one trick poney if neji adjusts? And could Gaaras sand do the same following the same principal if he varies the layers of sand, assuming there were no special anti-chakra properties to the secreted metal.

Solid video! Yea lee is capable of dealing with a lot more than the series allows him. He always seems to get the hardest opponent despise being top 3 in a given arc himself. Not to mention he gets crippled pretty early on and his growth stunted for most of the series.. I really wish over the time skip he was shown to have grown and not just shown he knows the 5th gate in the war. The thing people don't understand about Neji vs Naruto is that Neji only wanted to seal Naruto's chakra to win the match not kill him. Neji can kill with one attack, as he did to Kidomaru, that's how powerful the gentle fist is. Neji could kill with one strike, he would defeat Kimimaro easily because his defense is useless against him. He probably wouldn't be able to kill Gaara simply because of the Shukaku, tailed beasts can regenerate their hosts and act on their own if in life or death situations.

Neji vs pre-exams sasuke: Neji breaks this boys soul harder then Itachi does Lee vs Hinata: he will probably just say, "sorry I wish I didn't have to do it to ya, but you practice for Neji and the only way I'm getting to the finals, so we can do this the easy way or the hard way" but if he has to throw hands he probably won't have to even drop the weights. Neji vs Gaara: Depends on what you believe happens with the gentle fist. If Shukaku comes out, it's not so much a "Neji loses" as the fight just ends, because they have a bijuu on their hands and Orochimaru has to either pull the trigger on gramps right then and there or half the plot doesn't happen Lee vs Naruto: Lee bullies him or Naruto outlasts him if he has to go into gates. I'd say it's a 50/50. Lee vs Kido: If it goes like it did canonically he gets the bowl cut webbed up and if he can't break it within like 5-10 seconds he dies. and I imagine he'd need a gate or two to do it. NejI vs Kimimaro: see below, if you don't follow this, then he at the very least survives him way better then nerfed Lee in defense of gentle fist: gentle fist is like a chakra scalpel, in that it goes a certain depth regardless of armor, if you believe Guy, it only takes a glancing blow to hit your chakra points(he says this when Neji and Hinata are fighting, since Naruto was confused why it seemed like the two were barely even touching each other). The reason the gold armor worked is that it was dummy thick externally, saving his internals, not because it's "hard" (Neji was also pretty tired at the point Gold Armor was used so the beam could have been shorter). So while Kimimaros endo skeleton may as well be impenetrable, it should just ignore the resistance and go right through since it doesn't need to beat armor durability. Since you wanna bring Anime only stuff, they literally show Neji and Hinata using their gentle fist against HEAVILY armored enemies and it goes straight through the armor while only leaving a small indent in the metal with no actual "hole". Which stands to reason it would also rip straight through Gaaras second skin like a band-aid, but again, that brings Shukaku into things and the show just gets fucky.

The fact that Neji would be using Byakugan against Kimimaro, he would see Gaara coming much sooner than Lee did. Probably have two choices - flee in fear of what Gaara and Kimimaro would do (since sound and sand were teamed up against Leaf during Chunin exams) or hold out in hopes of Gaara assisting. Either way, Lee knocking Hinata up mid-fight during the Chunin Exams was quite the surprise in the manga, of course they wouldn’t adapt that into the anime

hinata is a more active combatant than gaara. she's not just gonna stand there, going "..." and "...!" while lee takes off his weights---and that's assuming guy would tell him to in this fight.

I think TenTen was on the money about Neji's Rotation being more potent then Gaara's defense. Gaara's first defense is his Armour which Neji is more then capable of getting to but that Ball Gaara did sure he can make it hard but he genuinely can't attack anyone while in it. He has to be attacked for the spikes to come out while he's stuck in place and the only reason the spikes can appropriately come out in time is bcus Gaara also has to use his third Eye with it. Neji on the other hand is mobile with his rotation no matter where he goes. His rotation doesn't just block physical attacks but Ninjutsu as well while redirecting both back onto the aggressor. He can also make it bigger to cover more range. That's allot better then what Gaara has

Neji vs Gaara, I will say Gaara's sealing with Shikaku is not the same as the one with Kurama. The seal on naruto is there to allow a blending of their chakra over time. Shikaku's is not. Shikaku has the ability to let Gaara use sand and give him a fairly sizable chakra pool but not access to the tailed beast chakra like we see with the others later in the series. Gaara still has that chakra pool and all that even when Shikaku is gone from him so we see its not that he was tapping into Shikaku's chakra but using the powers given by Shikaku. (Wondering if Gaara's mother was Uzumaki or related to them) As for the fight, Gaara wouldn't know what the Gentle Fist did exactly and that would lead him to getting pressured hard vs Neji. His Sand Armor (Not the shield) would provide no defense vs Gentle Fist and his Tenketsu points being closed would shut down his own Jutsu entirely. All he would have then is his sand shield, but without the chakra to use it to attack. After that its just a matter of Neji dropping him with another hit. See I keep seeing this weird thought process. Lee is a blunt objects he has to hit something VERY HARD to do any damage. Neji needs to touch you, just touch you. Neji's gentle fist could easily cut through the sand armor, shield, and ball with little to resistance. Its their ability to cut through chakra using the chakra of their gentle fist technique. Lee is Batman, Neji is Flash. Batman can hit hard and break bones and leave you broken and black and blue, Flash can phase his hand inside your ass and leave a pretty corpse with no marks on the skin and shredded insides. In fact with the Sand Armor, Neji could hit every single one of Gaara's Tenketsu points in a single hit, because the sand covers his entire body and we know that Hyuga can conduct their chakra through chakra infused objects or objects made of chakra. So yeah. Neji needs one touch to tko Gaara. The Sand Shell would be a pain in the butt for a minute but it would be cut through in quick order.

Naruto with his insane stamina and Kyuubi is just a bad matchup for him. This same Naruto beat up Gaara, who Lee couldn’t nearly beat, so Lee’s 5th gate doesn’t hit as hard as people think. If Lee uses the 5 gates but doesn’t win, he cant even move. And Neji can beat Sasuke if he manages not to get tagged by Chidori, which is possible with his rotation. After that, Neji’s gentle fist would make him stronger. Neji also beat his Sound 5 opponent with no help and no amps. Neji would beat Sasuke easy, *and do better vs Gaara because he doesn’t have to use Gates to do damage (and could probably push Gaara to use his bijuu because he’d block of his chakra points). He’d also do better than Lee vs Kimimaro with his insane chakra control feats that allow him to tag Kimimaro easier.

So Neji v Gara should be a blowout. Neji's rotation and striking speed are impressive, but we never see him with movement speeds that compare to an unweighted Lee, so I don't think Neji will be able to get past Gara's sand. Even if he can disable it for a time, Gara has the Chakra of a tailed beast to pour into his sand over and over. Neji will be stuck on the defensive until he's used up too much chakra to keep the sand from crushing him. It's Defense v Defense and Gara's has way more Chakra and use less then Neji's rotation.

I don't think Gaara can bring out Shukaku chakra if his points get closed. The only reason Naruto can is because the Fourth made the seal to feed Nine Tails into Naruto's Chakra. Unless Gaara has the same type of seal I don't think he can access the Chakra reserves in the same way.

The only part in this videos a I disagree with is Lee vs Kidomaru because even with the 8 gates he is still not going to baypass the spider webs due to how their mechanism works. Neji's taijutsu is all about lethality and precision where as Lee is blunt force attacks and the gates don't change that. So the fight heavly leans in Kidomaru's favour

Kidomaru had a field source advantage (kinda like yugioh) with the forest just like any spider would with the use of trees and plants surrounding as they have a vantage point. Neji is a nowhere a destructive fighter, he is pinpoint and close range as it gets in order to shut down tenketsu. Rock Lee in just his 3rd or 4th gate would destroy the entire forest, look at what he did to the battle arena against gaara in just opening/running with his gates open. he was destroying everything with just his steps, he would destroy the trees, similar to how Tamari destroyed the forest against tayuya. One combo or even lotus from lee to kidomaru would break his body in half. he can’t take direct hits looking to damage his limbs as opposed to his chakra points with neji. That’s an easy clear win for Lee. You also forgot to mention Neji vs Zaku and Dosu together in a 2 on 1. Can sound penetrate the rotation, it’s not a physical weapon. Rotation has never been stated to block sound itself, nor shield neji or another user from listening or hearing something. The airwaves/shockwave from zaku could be blocked, since it’s more comparable to a wind style jutsu. but what do you think about dosu’s abilities against neji, he has no defense for his own ears

I dont care what everybody says or even what kishimoto wrote in the manga. watching every fight from the two of them, its impossible for me to see Neji as stronger than Lee, thats pure bs. Dont even try to change my mind.

The reason why Gaara is shown to be a bigger threat in Part 1 is exclusively because Neji isn’t from a different village. Like why should us the audience consider Neji a threat to any of the main cast when he himself is supposed to be on their side? Same with the characters, most of the lead ninja see him as a hurdle to overcome while the other villages talk about how fearsome he can be. Using contextual context is good, but using it like you did is not.

Lee vs Hinata wouldn't even be close to a normal fight. One Lee is not the kind of guy to hit a girl he doesn't I don't think even hit a single girl throughout the entire series. He is much to much of a softie for that. I think the fight would start with him having an assumption of her fighting style knowing Neji. When she doesn't act in the same aggressive way as Neji does, the same self-assured cocky way it would throw Lee off a little. Then he would notice her lack of confidence in herself and that would trigger a whole other issue within him because he knows what its like to doubt your self-worth. He would try talking her up just to get a real fight out of her and not feel like he was bullying her. Because that alone would cause him to forfeit the fight if he felt like he was bullying a girl Lee is throwing in the towel he wouldn't want to do that its against his whole code. Lee trying to talk her up would get Naruto to try talking her up because Naruto also gets feeling self-doubt. I think that would get her out of her shell and let her fight at least on par with when she fought Neji. She would probably go for the Tenketsu points but Lee knows how to defend himself to a degree vs the gentle fist. I think Lee would win, unless he let himself get over confident and slipped up and Hinata landed a critical body shot. (They do not need to target organs even people like Lee need Chakra so shutting down that system would cripple lee as well) If lee went into first gate, that open Tenketsu Point (Which is what the gates are, they are 8 specific ones) would be a big glowing stop button for Hinata and so if he did use it I can see him maybe getting to assured and catching a stray gentle fist and being bodied. And that is if Lee doesn't piss her off by doing something like "I'll only fight you with my left hand" kind of thing to handicap himself against someone he sees as weaker than himself, and not wanting to hurt a girl or insult Neji by hurting his "Sister"

I agree with your verdicts but disagree with Kimimaro being so far above Neji in stats that Neji wouldn't hit him. I do think that his ability is a direct counter to any taijutsu in the same way that Gaara was a direct counter to Kimimaro.

No I do not think nije has a chance against gaara. As you guy are equaling nejis movement speed with his combat speed. As his ability to cover distance is far less to lees is. Nejis strengthen is letting his opponents come to him, but in this case gaara is not going to move in. So neji is going to have to go to gaara and with how gaaras sand works, neji would be out before he can lay a hand on gaara.

I'm going to have to disagree with Your Naruto Vs Rocklee assement. Rocklee hits like a fucking truck. If the Kyuubi feels like Naruto is in danger. Especially if he DOES land the lotus. The Kyuubi will come out to protect him. And Kyuubi amped Naruto would probably Rag Doll Lee even with 5th gate. The reason I say this is because Naruto JUST with the Red Cloak. Was matching Neji's speed who is relative to weightless 2nd and third gate Lee. As Lee pointed out that the third gate and higher was for beating Neji. So Naruto wouldn't have to call on the Kyuubi like he did with Neji it would just help him in this fight. So KNZero Mode Naruto (The one that Fought Haku and Orochimaru). Would also heal up any damage Lee is doing to him. While Lee in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gate would just be WASTING stamina. He wouldn't go 1 tail but that wouldn't even be needed. It would just be a BAD fight for Lee. Now if you think Lee wouldn't use lotus and it would be just a friendly competition. Then yes Lee might win. But I honestly don't think this would be the case. THINK about it. Lee already thought that Naruto was a worthy rival based on his showings against Kiba. He would probably want to prove to himself and declare to Naruto. 🙅‍♂️ Neji beats Garas sand shield. Even though when they was fighting the sound 4 n the big guy put them in a energy absorbing Earth cage. Nejis is able to find a weak point in the cage so he would be able to find one on Gara.(even though it was shikamarus idea, I think Neji would have figured it out). Garas sand has a movement speed limitation so it can't follow n protect him if it can't keep up. Neji would be able to see that Gara has a sand armor because it requires chakra n neji would know what to do. Nejis ability don't have this speed limitation. It's pure Chakra he can execute the technique when ever he's able to. He doesn't even need to spin to stop minor sand attack or sand daggers.most of all Sasuke lighting style beats Garas earth style so yes he can break Garas shield. Neji on the other hand uses PURE CHAKRA ladies and gentlemen. 9 tails chakra was the only thing able to reflect n deflect a full power rotation (lol I honestly think it was plot that Neji lost that clash, really the fight in general, but 9 tails Chakra should at least be a 3x all around battle state boost from Naruto's current charkra so Neji loosing that clash makes since) because it was a stronger pure Chakra aura attack😂. Neji would probably lose up to the point where Sasuke needed to be rescued after using chidori to many times. I think that tailed beast tenacity would start to overwhelm Neji before coming up with a solution to stop Gara by himself. Neji is not performing well against base Gaara lol. Base Gaara is bodying Neji because Neji has no AP feats that are going to be able to get through Gaara's defenses, and no 64 Trigrams isn't going to work on the sand because they're not chakra points it's just sand being manipulated through Chakra. Also Neji is beating up base weightless Lee, he's not fighting 3-5 gates Lee, and even then with the massive buffs he gets Gaara still beats Lee pretty much unscathed and cripples Lee. Neji is dying in this fight.

I think you guys tend to ignore the fact that neji has a byakugan, the odds of him being caught off guard by any attack is very low. Kimimaros jutsu effect his literal body and the terrain, neji would be able to see this and avoid it. Same for gaara being inside the sand shell, nothing gaara can throw at neji would be able to catch him off guard or fast enough to hit him. He would have to do at least a partial transformation because if neji is around weightless Lee speed then he will be able to continously avoid gaaras attack. Neji doesn't strain his body like the others do, he's much more Chakra efficient so you could argue that neji could win against gaara since I doubt gaara is going to be allowed to let out that much of shukaku.
