Why? Because he likes cold beer & chicken. Or because he says Yesss Sirrrr. Maybe because he has a short fuse and gets rude & snappy in his pressers with the media members he pre- approved. Maybe because he grins a lot, most likely just thinking about his millions. Why? That up in the hills personality crap all means absolutely nothing to me. His mediocre football record with the team quitting irks me. I don't love any football coach. I wonder if this is Georgia fans gushing all that love constantly on Razorback RU-vid? Georgia fans do love playing a Pittman coached team at Arkansas.

In no way do we need another losing season and another coaching change over. We need at least moderate success and continuity to build a stronger culture here. Those wishing him to lose are insane. We can't just buy an entire good team for football like we can for basketball.

8 wins is a good year & probably saves his job, but it's not great. Unless we've lowered our standards that much. 10 + wins would be great.

I think our standards are only slightly lower considering last year. If he can have at least a better year than last year and continue in the right direction, he will be just fine and we will expect more. Will show how well he is able to correct the program after a year of going off the tracks.

If Arkansas wins 8 or more games, it's because of Petrino and everyone knows it. And everyone knows if they win only 6 or less, Sam will step down, take a position as associate AD so he can retire from Arkansas. The question is what to do with Petrino IF they only win 6 or fewer.

Sam will have have a good season we git guys trying to prove there self this year and will play hard unlike kj who was just trying to look cool and quit putting the work in IMO i think we get 8-9 regular season wins and Pittman is not going to walk away from is dream job after a good season you are tripping if you think so

What is a "great" season? Make a bowl and beat texas while not getting blown out by the teams that finish the season with really good records? We don't really know what college football is going to look like in 4 or 5 years so how do you pick a guy to take you from here to there?

I want to win, Pittman is the coach so I want him to win, I'm not looking for his downfall and for those who are don't want to win and won't for awhile if we start all over again with a coaching change.

It seems clear. Whether Pittman is "a good man" or not, Arkansas will never be a factor for upper or even middle of the conference performance with a position coach as HC that depends 100% on having good coordinators. If you have good ones, they leave for bigger schools or for a HC position. Pittman doesn't have the coaching experience to get AND KEEP a program on track. It's a cold truth but a truth nonetheless. I'd say even Pittman in the quiet of the night knows this as well. Any team seems now to be successful when they have an offensive mind running the show with a good DC on board.

Pittman had a 9-4 season with a bunch of Covid 5th year players. An extremely experienced team. Jerry Sexton parlayed that into a raid on the bank in Fayetteville. This is a hodge podge team reassembled after many players had hit the transfer portal. Doubt they get 8 wins. It would be totally due to Petrino. Pittman is a lousy head football coach. Pittman should have already been fired. Pittmam will never get 10 wins if he stays here another 10 years.

We will never build a good program consistently if we keep hiring new coaches might have some good years but never sustained success

If not for the money issue, which is indeed huge, Arkansas' program more resembles the Big 12. If parity in TV money is ever put in place and four, or three, power conferences equally split revenues from TV, Arkansas should move over to the Big 12....if the money is the same. Texas, the bully in every conference they have sat in, is gone and can't rule the roost there ever again.

Personally I feel the buck stops with the head coach.❤ Our team stinks, it is his fault, our team ends up with a winning season and a bowl game, it's his fault.😁 Putting together our coaches, including Patrino goes to Pitt's credit. If we have another winning season I am good with Pitt for another year.👍 Loosing season, we move on. Would love at least a 7-5 year with a bowl game or better.🤞🙏

Arkansas fans are going to have to admit that 7 or 8 win seasons as their high water mark or get serious about an offensive minded HC. Pittman is NOT an experienced offensive coordinator and was never a HC before Arkansas hired him on the cheap.

Pittman is NOT the man for the job. Last year proved he is in over his head. The enos hire showed incompetence. Odom held his hand, along with SUPER SENIORS that willed the team to that great year, which led to moron hunter signing him to that UNFORGIVABLE contract. He is a buddy first coach which NEVER succeeds. He cant handle players making money, he cant prepare a team, he could not rectify the main problem last year, the O LINE! Never forget " i didnt know what to do". Also the team let go of the rope at the end of last year. If saban got out of the game because of nil, sam hasnt got a prayer. Time to retire to the lake.

If Pittman has a great year and then Bobby Petrino moves on obviously Pittman will then hire another guy like Danny Enos, because OCs like Briles are few & near impossible to get. If Arkansas has success it’ll be because of Bobby Petrino NOT PITTMAN The only way I want to keep Sam Pittman is if I can keep Bobby Petrino too, Barry, Odom and Kendall Briles were The reason Arkansas had success his first two seasons Chad Morris would’ve done just as well if he had those dudes and quite frankly Sam Pittman‘s decision making last year was no better than Chad Morris actually it was quite a bit worse delay a game at the half yard line 45 seconds to play in the half three timeoutswe can go on and on with Sam Pittman head coach
