great concept! i love the backstory behind each set of characters especially for groot!! his story just makes so much sense for him. perhaps you should do an xmen version? or other superhero teams, villains ect

theres a good timeline to this and i can explain when yondu died they were about to sent him to sapce to the feuneral but the body shakes and bit quill gamora checked quill if hes right but quill bit gamora and became a zombie rocket ran away when yondu bit quill rocket got groot and went to a space pod to get out mantis tried to go but zombiefied drax bit her. drax got infected by yondu. duck guy sees this in the other space ship and saved groot and rocket they noticed that neblula has still been fighting the zombies off with the metal parts in her arm so they go and the duck saved them. thats what happened

But isn't nebula humanoid she's half human half robots so

Also for Nebula, she is mostly machine anyway so she wouldn’t get infected

i think it would have been more interesting if rocket was infected instead of gamora because in infinity war and endgame starlord and rocket were the ones who had to deal with loosing their best friends, and it would be a cool contrast to see what would happen if the roles were reversed.
