There's one aspect of time travel not many ppl think about: The earth and our system are constantly moving. We have never been in the same pocket of space, ever. So if I were to go back in time, I'd have to calculate exactly where the earth was in space to the time I'm trying to go to, otherwise I'd just be dropped into space and die.

I always thought that when people time travel, it will create a paradox. For example, you go back in time to WW2 and stop it from happening. If there was no WW2, how would you go back in time to prevent something that doesn’t exist?

thats where the parallel universes come in. You go back in a different timeline of a different universe other than yours and u change the past of that universe then u come back to your universe where the past is still the same.

@TheePaperOne According to my own theory, I guess we will be repeating the same task infinite number of times( World war 2 and it's prevention). This is because we had stopped it, but in the actual timeline it has to happen, so it will just repeat( My little brain cannot process this happening further). Or else, as we saw in the childhood cartoons, there would be simply no history of any World war or our travel.

Correction: According to General Reletivity, wormholes CAN make it possible to travel both backwards AND forward. And if someone travelled back in time what would happen is that it would create a superposition, witch means they did arrive back in time but also didnt. To understand it, put it like this: lets say the universe is divided up in 2 worlds: (it actually isnt but putting it like that makes it easier to understand) we couldve been in the world where they didnt arrive maybe.

It really is a paradox. Time Travelers couldn't disclose too much because they would be pursued and experimented with in our time naturally. And it could be the case that they're coming and going anyway but we simply don't notice. If it were me, I absolutely would go to the party, but wait until filming was over and just have a one on one with Hawking to let him know that the future is pretty incredible.

I just realized something; as in movies, when heroes move really fast, people around them don't turn slow, the characters are just quicker/faster. As it says, your time becomes slower as you move closer at the speed of light.

I'm a time traveler and so are a great deal of other people. If you crossed the international date line going from east to west, you "skip" a day. If you cross the IDL going from west to east, you relive a day. Back in 2002, I lived through two Dec 25ths, going from Tokyo to LA. I also jumped ahead one day heading to the orient. Another way to look at it is, if you skip a day, then there is one day where you and everyone with you including the airplane is outside the space-time continuum (you don't exist). Going in the other direction, there are two of you in very separate places at one time.

Actually you're right. According to general relativity, one can only move forward in time by bending gravity and moving faster then the speed of light. However nothing can move faster then the speed of light as far as we know also we don't have the capability to even go as fast as the speed of light yet.

I have a Theory how to go to the future because if u travel at the speed of light the time will be so slow on u he says so if that happens what if, we create a rocket that can escape a black holes gravity then go near a black hole remember guys the closer ur near a blackhole the slower the time gets for u so we go near a black hole but then let the time go slow for us but 1 problem will the time of the black hole affect our age will it slow down our aging coz some people can die on age 100 so we need to stay young? Then go back to earth will we be in the future because when we go near the black hole it slow down the time for us does that mean we go back to earth will the earth's time will just be normal I think there's something missing if we go to the future how can we go back to our timeline that's my problem aslo if dont understand my theory listen I'm not good at explaining stuff also I'm not a Einstein Big Brain but I hope u under stand this theory

My logic is that - When we are free from gravity we move faster and time slow downs for us (as happens with astronauts). Now if we do the opposite, like if we find a technique to compress ourself into a gravity ball (360 degree surrounded) may be we can travel in past. 🤔😶🌕

Time travelers can do whatever they want to do in the past without altering history, because when they return to their own time, they arrive a moment earlier than when they departed. This fail-safe option became a standard feature on all time machines built after 2071.

I think the problem with time travel to the past is every intervention would result in a new timeline. If you went to the past and gave yourself some information about your future, you could return (among other possibilities) to the future of the new timeline, with both you and the alternate you existing there, or you could return to your own timeline either when you left or after. However, if you return to your own timeline shortly before you originally left, you would be then creating another alternate universe. If you told yourself not to take the time-travel journey, both you and the new alternate would be in that reality, but you would be absent in your original timeline.

I think if they break the rules they will be stuck in the timeline they are currently in.And the rules will be: Don't change anything in the timeline you are in.And second rule will be: you can tell that you are a timetraveler to only one person that you as a timetraveler trust and you will somehow test them them to know if they are the right ones to know that you are from a different timeline. In the 2006 movie Minority Report. Max McGrath and Ethan Hunt met a time traveller named Professor Paradox. Professor Paradox is a character that originally appeared in the 1996 movie Men in Black from Warner Bros. Pictures. If one were to meet a time traveler, they’d likely be from an alternate timeline. I have enough confidence to suggest that. Time is a constant line that can never stall or reverse. Instead of going back in time, you’d be entering an alternate timeline. Plus the dangerous theory about time traveling is if you have no chronolock or chrono anchor in place before traveling, you’re going to end up lost in the sands of time.

What if they ate the chicken for half an hour and just realize that he was late for his daughter's birthday party..his wife gets mad at him and plans a divorce on him,the guy became depress and got kicked from his work! The guy became homeless with his daughter because he can't pay the bills because he is jobless,then his daughter died out of hunger because of no food for days..the guy became a crazy scientist and tests chemicals on his daughter to revive her,but the chemicals make her a super human that can shoot lazerbeams and fire balls! The guy lost control of his daughter and now she is destroying the whole world!all buildings and structures has been damaged..billions of people died! All of the soldiers tried their best to stop the daughter from destroying the world! The world became a dark place! When I was younger and first heard of the idea of time travel I took a moment and thought to myself 'If time travel is real I will pass on a message through myself or through a relative who would live in a time when timetravel existed. Growing up I thought back to this moment and while I've not given up on the idea, I've assumed either I do not pass on my message through any relative who lives in a timetravel era becausem y lineage cuts off somewhere, OR there was a split in the timeline at the moment my 3rd grade self had that thought and futureJRme came back to that moment created a timeline that I'm unaware of.. If time-traveling to the past was possible, I think it's safe to assume its usage would be limited only to returning to the starting point from where you traveled to the future. The risk of time paradoxes or finding yourself trapped in an alternate timeline would prevent it to be used in ways such as attending Stephen Hawking's party or anything that predates the creation of the time machine.

To see the past press on the video screen at the left side double time and click it continously to rewind more

What if one of the rules of time travelling is that you're able to observe, but not interact? Well that's essentially what we do with RU-vid videos and TV. You can observe the past, stop it, rewind it, replay it, but you can't interact with it or alter it. So in a sense we're all time travelers to the past.

If you had a time machine with gravity sensors to "lock you in a fixed location in space," then you would end up floating in the vacuum of space upon arrival rather than anywhere on Earth. The Earth moves all throughout space at all times. It rotates about it's axis and revolves around the sun which is revolving around Sagittarius A* which is drifting around the local group and so forth. Even if you could lock yourself into a specific point in space, you would almost instantly be crushed by the planet (because it rotates at around 460m/sec) or appear to fly off the ground depending on where you're located during the lock.

the thing is, you can't move in time and just expect to be on earth. Anywhere on earth. You need to travel in space AND time, and move fast enough to keep up with the earth's motion around the sun and through the galaxy... or else you could end up in open space, or worse, too close to a star.

After watching thousands of videos on time travelling i can conclude that the reason why we cannot see a time traveller is whenever they travel through time they intentionally or unintentionally change something which lead to the creation of another timeline cause them disappear from their current timeline and live in that timeline and we won't seen them as we have different timeline from where they have gone, The travellers we observed can be the reason of creation of our timeline too. For stefan's experiment a very precised time calculation will be required which can be soo small that it can be smaller than the time for a human brain cells to react, If not calculated right you will surely go to another timeline where stefan is not doing that stuff.......

i always think that the reason we haven't met any time traveler yet is because we're living in the original timeline. Meaning, people in the future might be able to time travel and then when they get to the time that they go into, they travel into an alternate timeline which won't result into changing anything in the original timeline.

I believe if someone from our universe traveled back in time, it would be to a parallel universe that none of us would experience. The parallel universe would now be different from our own due to the traveler. This would also bypass the grandfather paradox.
