This anime is one of the few ones, that made my chest feel hollow yet heavy. The music for this anime set the tone well. Each episode slowly becoming more and more dark, with an ending that leaves you feeling content, not happy but content. As the ending was a good one and I am curious to see how they can push it even better for a second season. I very seldom get actually saddened or emotionally effected by anime, (As in I know it sad but I don't cry, I just feel sad for a bit?) This is an anime that actually brought me to the point of sadness, tears, and slight depression. Give it a watch, it is well worth it for 11 episodes.

small fix, Lena was already sympatric towards the 86. which is why she is serious about her job. what change was her understanding from a second and third perspective.

There was a lot of visual storytelling or "show, not tell" in the first episode, so I'm not sure everyone's gonna get it, but it was pretty solid in my opinion, the animation quality also surprised me, I'm hyped up to see how they're gonna portray some scenes from the novels.

The last two episodes of this show are something else. It really elevated it to a masterpiece for me. The ending was perfect.

This is my favourite LN of ALL TIME without any competition. The story telling and characters are all just so amazing, and I really, really, really hope they don't screw this up.

Using a track from Hiroyuki Sawano as the background for this video was a great touch, especially since it was from Aldnoah Zero.

Sawano is probably the best anime composer imo. The aldnoah 0 soundtrack is still a banger regardless of the train-wreck.

The original is a light novel award-winning, which is quite popular in Japan. Since racial discrimination is the theme, it was difficult to animate, and it has never become anime. I'm expecting a Japanese fan for this animation. If you draw a volume faithfully, I'm sure it will be a masterpiece. Dear to anime fan of the world.

I finished watching the first set of 11 episodes, and man... I'm absolutely hooked. The sound design is amazing, decent character building, great plot, over all, I'd rate it an a+

I'm definitely sold on this Anime. The directing has been phenomenal, and the music. God the music. Having different ending tracks depending if it's supposed to be an upper or a downer us such a nice touch!

Personally, I really like 86 in fact ever since the first episode I've been looking forward to new episodes every day. The story, the animation style(art), the characters and the battles are all very interesting. I hope it gets more recognition

This is in my opinion, the best anime during the spring season! I got so much emotion when i watched this rather than when i was watching vivy, even though vivy is a great anime, i was more in love with this anime!

tried reading the manga of 86 and realize it is so short so now I am stuck on either waiting for the anime episodes to be released or reading the LN, I actually like animes like these especially A-1 Pictures animating and hiroyuki Sawano with the music like damn it reminds me of Aldnoah Zero the first anime I watched that got me hooked up to the anime world.

FAM this was a masterpiece I just read the ln and they adopted it so perfectly just waiting for the second cour

“3-4 Volumes per season” But yet the first cour covered Volume 1 and some of Volume 2, I’d say this one of a pacing. The amount of details, foreshadowing, emphasis of emotion and OST makes it as one of my top anime this season.

I just finished the show and it’s is probably one of the top 5 I’ve watched

I was already interested in this anime when I heard the op a while back and found out hiroyuki sawano was gonna make the soundtrack, but now that I know a bit more about the plot/story I really hope it's good. I also barely ever read any light novels so I kinda hope that if it is good, they do a faithful complete adaption of the story.

Its kinda sad it gets barely any Hype even tho its actually Close to a masterpiece storywise

On 1st episode, we can already see it has the Storyline/Action vibe from Gundam Iron Blood Orphans.

Most underrated anime

I got a lot of the WWII parallels pretty fast. Especially the idea of the Arian Race that Hitler had.

After seeing this after watching this… all I can say it, this show is amazing and I highly recommend this‼️ this series can make it far

Lena looks like Esdeath, The series reminds me of Code Geass, and Hirouki Sawano did part of the score, so.....Of course I'm hooked.

I heard of this anime a couple weeks ago and I brushed it off as a mid mecha anime but I decided to look into it again and it seems so cool! Knowing me I probably won't check it out for another 5 years but I'm still excited lol

Using The World War 2 Framework is pretty interesting. By an Anime standpoint I'm seeing a lot of Gundam Wing Earth Forces vs The Space Colonies & Cross Ange with The Purity Discrimination factor.

I was literally at Barnes & Noble yesterday ordering the1st vol of 86 light novel. Crazy How I just came across this video.

I’ve waited so long for the 86 Light Novel to get a anime adaptation, easily my favorite Light Novel forever, every volume from 1-7 that I’ve read and have been released in English were incredible, every volume I enjoyed, the anime is already my favorite anime of all time hopefully they stay true to the Light novel, from the first episode it’s seems they did 1 chapter which is good pacing, Shin looked amazing and Lena is my Wife. FUCKING GLORY TO THE SPEARHEAD SQUADRON!!

Imagine see a random anime review in a language you've been learning for quite a while. Just to see it become your favorite anime ever.

I remember reading somewhere that only the first 3 volumes are going to be adapted, which actually makes a lot of sense, since volume 1 could be a standalone story, and volume 2 and 3 tell an overarching story, so I wouldn't be too worried about this being well adapted, of course I'm still a little worried, I hope the anime lives up to it.

The lack of mecha and/or military animes made me realize I need other things besides the isekai because there's just too much

It made me cry... All of the episodes made me cry like hell felt like I was part of them. Honestly it just beat shield hero to the ground. This is top of my MAL Season 2 episode one is good it felt like the whole story just began

This was one of my most hyped series this season, episode 1 didn't blow me away though, kinda reminded me of Schwarzesmarken with the coup de grace, great military mech anime btw, but it didn't give us enough to sell the mechs and the struggles the 86s go through, more of the hardships of the Major.. Hopefully they'll give us more of the 86s side in episode 2!
