alot of people still do not get what a bass porcessor does.. it actually takes the signal in and turns the pitch down significantly and it just low passes the signal with a lowered pitch so it basically converts mid bass to nice low bass.. which creates great bass for mexcian music or rock and stuff..
According to audio control the correct way would be to use the front rca outputs. So you can get the full spectrum. And restore the bass where you want to. 28hz to 67hz
FlexYoFace Chase I just got an RD 5 channel amp (about 2 months ago) and it doesn’t even have a subsonic filter. I would’ve liked to have one, in case I want to try a ported subwoofer box. I’m probably gonna need some kind of processor like the NVX from the video.
I just installed a audiocontrol epicenter in my car and haven't really noticed anything? Any suggestions? Also I was told by different people that all bass processor's are the just diffrent brands? Any help is much appreciated.
John Harris id like to see this video, I'm really interested in getting a 3Sixty.3 processor, but from my research is that your audio out from your deck goes into your processor than you tune and adjust your processor with computer programming and tha aux outputs from the processor goes out to your multiple amps, i need one for the two amps to my subs, the amp for my 6x9's and the 4 ch for my doors and tweeters, the idea is to put the proper frequencies to the speakers that were made to produce these frequencies. hope this gives an idea of what to do with a processor, maybe checkout rock fords website for a better idea
decibelchild You have the gist of it, I currently have the 3Sixty.3 and have not been satisfied with it. I really wish I would have went with the Audison Bit10 D. I may have a bad unit but I didn't buy it from Rockford certified distributors even though it was bbrand new in packaging I have been getting terrible customer service from them, the unit doesn't perform as it should, the software messes up on you. It has caused one of my amps to blow during a tuning session it stopped outputting sound then put out a really load noise where I couldn't control the volume and caused them amp to fry. Rockford did replace the amp shockingly but they won't replace the 3Sixty.3 I was going to do a SQ build all Rockford, but that steered me away and I think I am going to sell my stuff and go Audison/Hertz
You should tell them that on regular music, DONT use the damn processor like a volume knob. Clipping and blowing shit up is very common for noobs using these processors in a way they are not meant to be used. You cant really use a bass processor to its fullest limits safely without an O-scope telling you what your limit is.
When you play music not alot of it gets into the low 30s, and if it does its usually just noise or its really quiet. This fixes that. For example I have 3 sa12s tuned to 36hz but all the classic rap and rock music I play has almost no bass that goes that low, it's more like up in the 60hz-80hz range. This gets those bass frequencies and adds bass if its not there or enhances bass if the song does have it. So you can choose a range of frequencies to be added/enhanced to your system. For me I would change the sweep to around 36hz since thats what im tuned at and I like low bass. Then id increase the wide to the hz that I want and that sounds good to me, lets say 60hz. Now everything from 36hz-60hz will be enhanced or added to the music im listening to, even if those frequences dont exist in the song. That way you always get maximum bass no matter what music youre listening to and you dont have to cherry pick songs that sound good on your system If you have a low system and you dont edit your music then this is a must have in my opinion
George s197 I get the TransAm was cool, I was born in the 70s and came within an inch buying a new black WS6 Ram Air off the show rack...still wouldn't get a tattoo of it.
Ok what is the difference in a electronic crossover and that bass processor???? I've always used Electronic Crossovers... So that I can control the highs mids and lows. Wouldn't it better just to use a Electronic Crossover then the Bass Processor??
They’re not the same thing. A crossover you always gotta have. A bass processor is optional and serves a different function. It reads the signal you feed it, and based on that adds bass where it’s lacking. It adds the bass, then you boost it to taste. A crossover is simply a filter that filters frequencies the speaker can’t handle.
hi I have a question I listen to rap and rock . rock music puts my amp in protection mode would that solve my problem (I got 2 memphis mojo cm10d4 with 1 mc1.1100 amp)
When I turn my key to ac on the ignition of my Honda CR-V I have bass in my subs but when I start the cars engine the bass doesn't work. Any idea on what I should do
Help me out. I just bought an Orion 2400 watt mono block and is hooked up to my kicker cvx 1700 watt 12'. When I turn it up too high the Amp goes in to protect but when I turn it down it immediately kicks back on. I had a 2400 watt planet audio Amp before and it never did that. Could it be I need a crossover because I'm using a line out converter?? Or is my sub going out because it seems like its also a certain frequency that will make it go out. I don't know whether it can't handle the 2 ohm load or if it's my Amp. It doesn't over heat or anything it's brand knew and I redid all my wires too. Please help before I spend money on a simple fix! It's at 2 ohms by the way
+Adrian Fernandez I'd guess it's going into protect because the voltage is dropping so far down, What size power and ground wires are you running?, do you have big 3 upgrade? are you running an upgraded battery or alt?. the Orion does A LOT more power than that Planet Audio... look at amp dyno's that PA probably does 600-700 watts tops droppinhz dyno'd a Planet Audio 5k at 1.3k rms... the Orion on the other hand does rated power and will put a lot more stress on an electrical system that's not properly setup to handle it.
Thanks. I actually figure it out. I'm using four Gage wire but my remote wire was only sending 5 volts into the Amp. After I found a 12 volt for the remote it works great. I have a 2014 Honda accord so taking the deck out wasn't really an option for me. I just added a hifonics bass processor and it sounds great. Working on building a bandpass fiberglass box. I don't think I have ever seen one so we will c how it turns out. If u had any suggestions on that I'm more than happy to listen. Thanks
+Adrian Fernandez Glad you got it figured, I honestly would have never guessed that! Good solid upgrade from the PA. I'm getting ready to build a box myself for an RE 18", can't wait!
Check this out: www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-nd91-4-3-1-2-aluminum-cone-full-range-driver-4-ohm--290-224 I have the 4" version. Check my channel if you wanna see it in action.
I bet the audio control is better than this nvx. ive tried many bass reconstructors and none work like the epicenter. It brings out hidden bass notes you hadnt herd before from your music.
If u like SQ systems never instal any bass processor, because it creates not natural bass. Imagine track... Jean Michaele Jare - Oxygen pt 2 with tons of bass ? wierd huh ?Sound is just not natural ;-)
sup man i bought this memphis bass restoration and it spunds really bad i have a 1500 watt amp kicker 1 channel monoblock wit the 0 gauge wire and the optima battery and well i bought it for mexican music cuse it sounds good but mine it sounds really bad what could it be that makes it sound like that i have and single din alpine
dont like bass eq's at all.....they alter the original recording to much, you can get a track with nearly no bass & it adds bass to it which is fine but then you get a track with alot of bass & it makes it softer
What I find funny is you guys obviously don't understand it needs a full range signal to work the way it should. You also do not run a 12v constant to it (yellow). It runs off the (acc) (red wire). And you call yourselves professionals. Hahaha. Go back to school and learn your shit.
I know what the remote wire does brother. my statement is that the bass restoration unit. like other components is meant to have a 1.5-5amp fuse on it, seperate from a head unit and not a constant power as they say and are using that in their tutorial. red is accessory wire. black as the ground and blue as a remote. you clearly miss understood the point I was making
This is your professionals, hey kids here's $20 each, talk about this that you know nothing about. Say your names a lot. Thanks.... why I stopped ordering from Sonics Electronix just went to NVX! Customer service sucks
Classic rock lol I don’t think that’s the best music to show performance of subwoofers ever instrument in rock songs are entirely too loud you can’t concentrate on one tone because everything is just loud for know reason smh rock for demos 👎👎👎👎
Reconstructor / paste generator hook it up keep it on zero and guaranteed it will be pumping more bass than just your normal system I have the BX 20 Soundstream bass generator and it is badass
Keep what on 0? My hu is 4v and amp gain is set to 4v so if i install this it will boost the voltage to 7.5 i think...so does that mean i have to readjust my gain on amp and make it lower since its getting a higher voltage now?
