It feels great when you are housed and have access to the support you need. Government, social agencies and private citizens all play a part in making that happen, and it takes a coordinated effort with a layered approach to be successful.
One layer is made up of government funders and donors who trust public organizations to allocate funds where they are most needed. Another layer is made up of non-profit groups that deliver services and supports directly to individuals. We are the middle layer: we’re the community-based organization with a system-wide view, that uses research, data and evaluation to coordinate resources, strengthen existing services, identify gaps, and measure the impacts of our sector. It’s one way we’re guiding the fight against #homelessness.
