I just purcased a MiniLab 3 . They talk about DAW a lot . Had no idea what they were talking about until I watched this video . Excellent explanation . Thank you . Thumbs up and subscribed .
Hey Joe can you do a video of you recording a whole song on a Tascam 4 track, to show how DAWs & recording tech have revolutionized the home studio over the last 25 years. I used to record on a 4 track recorder and the process is completely different, the way you approach it, the way you edit, use effects, bounce, and master. It would be fun, interesting, and entertaining to see how you would approach a project using ancient tech....I don't think the kids these days know how good they have it, when I was their age I only had 4 tracks to work with, and if I wanted more tracks I had to mix and bounce all while trying not to screw anything up
Good they have it? Not exactly! All the high tech is also the reason music has become so fake and cheap. Back in the day, you had to know how to play your instrument, but nowadays you just need to know which and what button to push.
Fantastic, Thanks for clearing up, yet another unnecessary acronym; It is truly great, when an individual is confident enough, to speak, in, plain, language; for none native speakers of English, this acronym, was just another useless hurdle to jump over, thanks again so much!
Ice cream cones? Laughing! Lettuce? Laughing! Meanwhile, I wish I had this excellent explanation back in the 2000s when I was first trying to understand any of this. I might have moved along faster than a snail with a broken ventral foot. I will share this with my family and friends so that hopefully they finally will understand how all this works. Thank you!
Been a pro for 15 years now, but I always end up learning something new in many of your "beginner" videos! Thanks! And now an off-topic question: I've been offered a very good deal (1200€/1440$!!!) on the discontinued Studiolive 24 (replaced by the 32SX recently). I'm having some trouble finding out the actual differences between the two (apart from the 32 inputs vs 24). If I'm not wrong, you still use it and love it. Should I go for it!?
Witha powerful PC, could you plug in a MIDI controller keyboard into your DAW and source sounds from M1, DX2 and popular synths and have essentially a bunch of instruments in your PC to play with? And is there a limit of voices? Is there a downside to this instead of owning those instruments individually in hardware form? Thanks!
Joe Sir you have covered many instrument video in which u tell us how to eq then or compres them but uuntil now you didnot covered windinstument like flute please make à video
